Arty has delivered a top remix of the massive ‘Spectrum’ from Zedd and Matthew Koma that really does show why he’s a producer worth watching. Keeping the spine-tingling euphoria from the original cut in full flow, Arty blows the track apart with insane production that shows exactly why the young Russian producer is deemed one of the most original and exciting talents to hit the EDM world in a very long time. 

When they work as a tag team, Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten have provided many memorable moments in 2012 so far, with notable back to back sets in Birmingham, Buenos Aires and Las Vegas to name a few. On each occasion, an easy highlight of their sets has been their resurrection of the classic ‘Loops & Tings’.

Brand new imprint, I Used To Sleep At Night, debut this month with the ‘Broken’ EP by Cropper. Opening track ‘I Need To Know’ steams in full force, the broken beat number samples soulful vocals to great effect, cleverly looping and chopping segments out to create a hooky driving feel. The acidic bassline is notably the protrusive element really drawing out the groove, adding low-end depth and flare to accompany the rich airy mid-range pads.



Tritonal's ‘Piercing The Quiet: Remixed’ album will finally see the light of day on September 3^rd, four months since the original album was released and the remixes started creeping into the duo's sets. The release is double-disc album packed with 14 remixes by some of the biggest names in trance and progressive and 10 club mixes by Tritonal themselves. 

Hannover based imprint Yippiee return with Manuel Moreno’s ‘Come With Me’ EP this August, backed with remixes from label owners Filtertypen and Normen Hood. This release follows the success of Yippiee’s Treibgut Sonder Kompilation which featured cuts from deep house heavy hitters Chris Lattner, Moritz Piske, Patlac and Gorge to name a few. Now the German imprint deliver this four-track single from Swiss producer Manuel Moreno who’s releases on 8bit and DJ sets at Space and Privilege (Ibiza) have earned him a highly praised status in the underground.

Soundplate & Bright Night TV recently announced a new partnership to create two new video series - 'Experience Talks' and 'A Few Minutes with'. Directed by James Blakstar John for Soundplate.com, the videos will feature some of the most influential names in the global house music scene, with the aim to educate and inform as well as entertain.

After a very successful OFF/Sonar event, FACT return to The EGG in London tonight with a show of Olympic proportions featuring very special guests Danny Howells & DJ Ralf. Danny is one of the few DJs on the scene today that truly has a style of his own. With his passion for all styles of music and infectious personality, Danny has created a unique, eclectic sound that has established him as one of the most in demand DJs in the world.

After an influx of top Romanian producers over the last years, including A:rpia:r, the trend continues with Jay Bliss and his Hermanndstadt Collective, 2020Vision’s first ever Romanian signing. Developing a style sitting somewhere between house and techno, with strong Detroit roots he has previously released for the likes of Immigrant, Hudd Trax and Diynamic. 

Already a household name thanks to his 2010 smash hit single ‘Riverside’, Sidney Samson returns with a goliath onslaught of new material.  Kicking things off, Samson recently launched two tracks with Far East Movement, as well as providing the power behind Pitbull and Shakira’s upcoming track  ‘Get It Started’ as one of the key producers and writers, which is already in at #89 on the Billboard Hot 100.

‘Album Of The Month’ (Mixmag), ‘Album Of The Week’ (The Independent), “The ‘Drive’ soundtrack with a rocket up its arse.” (DJ Mag); just three of the reactions to John B’s latest ‘Light Speed’ album from earlier in the year, a neon-soaked journey into possibly one of the most epic D&B albums of recent times. Now the title track is about to be unleashed with a package of remixes ready to hit all corners very hard indeed. 

David Morales recently announced the release of his new single ‘Stay’ (featuring Polina) the third single from his new Ultra Music artist album, ‘Changes’. The remix package features brand new interpretations from Bruno Robles & Felipe Kaval, Joe T Vannelli, Rui Da Silva, Mark Alston and David Morales. 

A few big things happening this weekend for Toolroom Records. As the label prepares for its Toolroom Knights arena at this weekend’s Global Gathering, they’ve got right into the festival spirit and want to share it with you! The label’s currently running an offer on their site where they have reduced all digital and CD albums to just £5 until midnight on Sunday 29^th July. That includes albums from some of the artists performing at Global Gathering – Mark Knight, John Dahlback and Funkagenda. 

DJ Fresh Featuring RaVaughn ‘This Feeling’ (Ministry Of Sound)

This week’s final Tune of the Day is from one of the biggest and best ambassadors of the D&B sound, ever since his early work as part of Bad Company. Daniel Steen aka DJ Fresh has been behind some of the biggest tracks and remixes to come out of the scene. With record labels and cool web forums to add to his portfolio, it’s been his latter mainstream success that has taken DJ Fresh from underground warrior to overground leader.

No.19 Music team up with Ali Love for a new single featuring production and remix duties from Brigante. No.19 Music continues to grow in strength with recent releases from Konrad Black & Art Department, Tone of Arc and Cameo Culture whilst running their own Social Experiment parties. Now Jonny White and his label team look to a newcomer to the imprint, vocalist and songwriter Ali Love.

On the 14^th, 15^th and 16^th December 2012, Holland’s longest running music festival will team up with South American local partners Streetmachine for the second edition of Mysteryland Chile. Set in the spectacular town of Mostazal – a 45-minute drive from Chile’s capital Santiago – this December will see thousands of revelers make their way to the beautiful Hacienda Picarquin.

American duo Thievery Corporation will be bringing their sound to Beat & Raw this Friday, July 27^th, at Space, Ibiza. Also appearing will be The Subs, Lazer Sword, Jacob Plant and Dub Elements, all adding their own unique twists to the night. Washington duo Thievery Corporation, who along with 12 session musicians, will demonstrate their renowned performance on stage with a combination of electronic downtempo and dub, acid jazz and ethnic music rhythms from around the world.

Following on from our June 19^th news below, in celebration of his 50^th birthday, Carl Cox will also do a FREE birthday party at Sands Beach Club and Restaurant on Monday 30^th July, together with Pete Tong, Igor and DJ Antz. The highlights of the Tuesday, July 31^st birthday party at Space Ibiza will now be broadcast by BBC Radio One as an Extended Essential Mix. This will get broadcast a few days later on Friday, August 3^rd, from 11pm to 3am.

Dutch label Armada Music and Insomniac, America’s electronic dance music event promoters, have teamed up to present Armada Nights – a bi-monthly show at Los Angeles’ club, Exchange LA. The collaboration begins this Saturday, July 28^th and features artists Sied van Riel and Eco. Hosted by Insomniac and Exchange LA, Armada Nights will feature some of Armada Music’s best dance music talent.

Rita Ora recently announced a date for ‘ORA’, her debut album, which will be released on Roc Nation / Columbia Records on August 27^th. To celebrate its release Rita will be playing two exclusive headline shows in the UK – Manchester Sound Control on 29^th August and London’s Scala on 30^th August, both of which sold out in less than 30 minutes. 

Simone Vitullo & Angel Anx - Jingoba EP (K9 Records)

Another tune that we’re trying to fit in as we continue to play catch up on a daily basis! Hopefully we’re not featuring this one too late, but if we are, it’s still worth it… if like us you’re a sucker for a bit of tribal chanting and sax! This new one from Simone Vitullo & Angel Anx is already out on K9 Records and has been garnishing support from artists such as Marco Carola, Roog, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Andy Cato, Davide Squillace and Mark Knight.

Warehouse Project have revealed their full 2012 season line-ups, launching on the 28^th September and going right the way through to New Year’s Day. For this seventh season of Warehouse action, they return to Victoria Warehouse, the venue which housed the two Easter shows earlier this year. Since then, the WHP team have been working continuously, making amendments to the venue, configuring the space with a barrage of production, and building a monumental WHP line-up. Scandinavian headphone specialists, Urbanears, recently announced the launch of their professional DJ headphone, ‘Zinken’. This project began as a result of over two years of constant requests to create a DJ headphone, and despite their already good reputation, the Zinken is already by far, Urbanears’ most ambitious headphone created yet.

RÜFÜS - This Summer / Selena (Remixes) EP (Continental Records)

Perfect summer music here as Sydney’s RÜFÜS get the remix treatment on their latest EP. With four mixes of ‘This Summer’ and two of ‘Selena’, there should be a mix to suit most people here. Keeping with ‘This Summer’, Parachute Youth and RÜFÜS themselves supply remixes, RÜFÜS’ stripping their original back whilst PY give it a very laidback 4/4 rendition with a great breakdown in the middle. Softwar’s mix adds a great old skool piano to it, capturing great memories of some classic house music.

The House The House DJ competition, organised by charitable foundation Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (LNADJ) to discover the UK’s best young DJ talent, recently went live on Mixcloud via the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life website. The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 16 and 25 who commit to taking part in a local community project, and the regional heats featuring 12 UK cities have now been announced as Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol, Brighton, Leeds, Birmingham and London between October and December 2012. 

The end of July is a big one for Coldharbour as they unite annually to celebrate Markus Schulz and Coldharbour Recordings’ storied journey in grand fashion. It has been a good 2012 so far for the label, highlighted with releases that sparkled on Markus' acclaimed ‘Los Angeles '12’ city series compilation.

Bloody hell, what a tune this is! You can’t help get a little excited when a new Sandy Rivera production lands in your inbox. We’ve been big supporters of Sandy for years, possibly even before he created ‘Finally’, the greatest house record of all time. He never bows to commercialism, never jumped on the cheesy electro bandwagon, he’s just always stayed true to his house roots.

It's been a busy few months for Aussie-Czech duo Shades Of Gray. Since releasing their album ‘Soul Machine’ at the end of 2011 Michal and Nick haven't stopped, releasing a string of EPs for Lost My Dog, Chillin, Tronicsole, Reckless Republic and Moensterbox, remixing Miguel Migs, Pete Dafeet and Fil Lavin, collaborating with Lexy (Nicone) and having their own work remixed by Ian Pooley, Milton Jackson, Sasse and Norm De Plume.  

In 2008 Ralf GUM unveiled his debut album titled ‘Uniting Music’, which is still one of our favourite artist albums four years later. Now, at last, the German DJ/producer reveals his hugely anticipated second album ‘Never Leaves You’ on his own GOGO Music imprint. Ralf’s distinctive sound and irresistible songs have become his instantly recognisable trademark during the last two decades, as they cut through the airwaves and clubs sound systems with unique class and style. ‘Never Leaves You’ is testament to the fact that Ralf GUM has stayed true to his roots and well-honed style, paying homage to the song and creating a moving and heartfelt body of music that transcends to both the dance floor and the lounge. 

Pay weekend brings another big one to Sankeys, Manchester, England. Friday sees darlings of the bass music scene Benjamin Damage and Doc Daneeka going head to head on the headline tip. This show is helping to promote one of Croatia’s burgeoning new festivals, Dimensions, which takes place in September. The duo have been praised for their juxtaposition of the aural aesthetic of classic house and techno, with the rumbling menace that takes centre stage under the reverberating umbrella of bass. 

Maya Jane Coles / Shenoda – 1trax ‘Three’ (Huxley Remixes) (1trax)

Next month see the release of Huxley’s debut mix compilation on 1trax and as taster to it, this two-track sampler gets a release as Huxley remixes tracks from Maya Jane Coles and Shenoda. Both tracks are on the compilation, which should give you good taster of what’s to come with its very deep sounding grooves. On Shenoda’s ‘Moments’, he keeps his trademark darker sounds, producing a very trippy tune that’s quite minimal in its approach.

So Called Scumbags team up with Space Ibiza resident Jonathan Ulysses to showcase their brand new single 'Drum Fabric', backed up by remixes from Tim Cullen and D.O.N.S & Mat Holtmann.
 James Edwards & David Minns aka So Called Scumbags have had a jam packed summer so far with DJ sets at Pacha Ibiza, Cargo in London with 'Type', Glade Festival and a main stage set at the High Definition Festival sharing the arena with the likes of Fedde Le Grand, Mark Knight & Redlight. 

The Garden Party, in honour of Notting Hill Carnival, is back for an 11^th year teaming up with Paradise 45 a carnival two-day event!  Bringing an all-star line up, The Garden Party will take place over the two days of Notting Hill Carnival and will once again see the Mason’s Arms in Kensal Green transform into a Balearic Paradise. 

Heidi expands on her repertoire with the first release on new project, Heidi Presents Jackathon Jams. Recruiting the feminine touches of Maya Jane Coles, Miss Kittin and tINI, this diverse release oozes with the sexiness that only a team like this could deliver. Since 2010, Maya Jane Coles has bust onto the scene seemingly from nowhere, dazzling the world with her DJ and production skills and establishing herself as a queen of nu-school house. 

On Friday August 3^rd, the official release party of Emma Hewitt’s ‘Burn The Sky Down’ album will take place at LA’s Exchange, in collaboration with Insomniac Events. As the first vocal artists to do this kind of show with the American event organization, Emma’s got a big spectacle in store for the show in downtown Los Angeles.

Leftroom boss Matt Tolfrey releases ‘Turn You Out’, featuring Technotronic vocalist Ya Kid K this month. ‘Turn You Out’ is one of the key tracks from Matt Tolfrey’s forthcoming album, ‘Word Of Mouth’, due out on Leftroom in September 2012.

 Matt Tolfrey has earned himself a highly praised status among his peers in the industry, developing as a well-respected DJ and label owner. 

Dirty Dutch, the international dance platform founded by Dutch deejay, artist and producer Chuckie, is set to bring its world-renowned event to the Amsterdam Dance Event on Friday 19^th October at the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome. Chuckie and the Dirty Dutch crew will be hosting the first ever electronic party to take place at the new venue which was recently opened by Madonna and will play host to A-List acts like Nicky Minaj, Radiohead and The Black Keys over the coming months.

Italian DJ, remixer and producer duo System Of Survival release their debut album, ‘Needle And Thread’, this September on Ellen Allien’s Bpitch Control. The album’s 12 tracks are rich and varied, based on almost 20 years of highly successful musical collaboration: Pietro ”Bingo” De Lisi's soul and funk background, Alex Carpetieri's roots in Detroit and Chicago techno, their first joint success in the clubs of their home city of Salerno and finally their big break in their current centre of operations – as residents of the legendary Circo Loco / DC10 in Ibiza. 

Following recent Music Man albums from Petar Dundov ‘Ideas From The Pond’ and Marcel Dettmann’s ‘Conducted’ mix, it’s now time for one of Detroit’s finest, Robert Hood. With ‘Motor: Nighttime World 3’ Robert Hood returns to the project he first started on Austria’s Cheap label back in 1995 and subsequently continued in 2000 on M-Plant. Fusing his trademark minimal techno into jazz inspired moods and inflections, Hood emerges from the smoke-lit shadows of a downbeat, but not beaten, Motor City metropolis. Inspired by Julien Temple’s documentary ‘Requiem For Detroit?’ Robert Hood examines the life, history and future of Detroit’s motor industry and its workforce, set against a backdrop of decay, despair, hope and re-birth.

UK singer/songwriter Christian Burns has announced the title of his first solo album. ‘Simple Modern Answers’ will be released later this year and includes collaborations with the likes of BT, Paul Oakenfold, Jean Claude Ades, Antillas, Paul van Dyk, Kryder, Alex M.O.R.P.H. and many more. 

Mark Knight Featuring Skin – Nothing Matters (Toolroom Records)

Final one of the week and what a tune to park on our homepage until Monday! Featured on the site earlier in the week, this is easily one of the tunes of the year and one we just can’t stop playing, largely thanks to the stunning vocals of Skunk Anansie’s Skin. We’ve loved Skin’s voice for years, the power of it on tracks such as ‘Brazen’, ‘Hedonism’ and the massive ‘Weak’ set her apart from many of her contemporaries. That, and the fact that she just looked boss over them too!

EMI’s newly established "Get No Sleep" brand represents a conglomeration of community, live experience and a record label offering some of the best from the wide-ranging field of electronic music every day. The brand provides users with information and the latest sounds from luminaries like David Guetta, Deadmau5, Nervo, Eric Prydz and Swedish House Mafia. The worldwide EMI Dance Network recently started up, bundling all of the label’s available A&R and marketing forces together to discover new dance music talents and guide them to long-term international success. 

From 10^th until 16^th November, the creators of four top festivals - Rainbow Serpent Festival (Australia), Glade Festival (UK), Symbiosis Festival (USA) and Mother (Japan) - come together for the first time to create the Eclipse2012 Festival in Australia. Running over six days in far north Queensland, just hours from tropical beaches and lush rainforests, this could end up being one of the most talked about events of the decade. 

Man Like Me will release their new single ‘London Town VIP’ on August 20. The song might be familiar to fans of the band, but it has been given a reboot by Mike Skinner, who is currently working with the band on their new album. The track, which is an anthem lamenting the downfall of a UK garage MC, has been a crowd favourite at Man Like Me’s riotous live shows for years – and is set to become an alternative anthem for London 2012 with this new version. 

Future Classic DJs have generated a following through their free mixtapes, radio show, record label and parties. Now, they get set to release their first official compilation next month, where half of the music is exclusive to the compilation and includes specially commissioned originals and remixes by Danny Daze, DJ T, Perseus, Soul Clap, Flume, Softwar, PharaoBlack Magic, Slow Hands, Tigerskin and Worst Friends.

Commencing his dizzying journey at the tender age of 18, Avicii has unquestionably amassed greater success before turning 22 than most could ever hope to achieve in a lifetime. His tracks ‘Bromance’ and ‘Levels’ swept across every club in the world in 2011 taking the self-taught, fresh-faced Swedish luminary to become one of the most in demand acts in electronic music at the moment. This year, Avicii appears at Creamfields as he makes his debut headlining the South Stage, we catch up with him to find out what we can expect from his performance.

In celebration of his Subliminal Sessions residency at Pacha, Ibiza Erick Morillo presents ‘Subliminal 2012’ - a compilation of his favourite tracks to keep the summer party vibe going. Erick Morillo and SYMPHO NYMPHO (the team of Erick Morillo, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero and Jose Nunez) guide you through an electronic musical spectrum, from the underground to peak time floor fillers. The album features top tracks from some of dance music’s most gifted producers.

DJ Chus & Sonny Wharton Ft. El Chino DreadLion – Runnin’ (Skint Records)

Part two of a three set package on this one, a new collaboration between Spain’s DJ Chus and the UK’s Sonny Wharton. With remixes from Manuel De La Mare, Mathew Codek and Zenbi, it’s the full vocal and the X-Press 2 mixes that we’re focusing on here. The X-Press 2 mix takes the track on a more down-tempo journey, think sunny afternoon warm-up in a festival tent, with its deep beats and warbling sounds. It works well.

Having supported Paul Weller at his personal request on his five night residency at London's Roundhouse earlier in the year, Cow return with a new album ‘Dedicated To... The Mighty Drum’. The album, which is available now, was recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn studios, and features the man himself on several tracks, including new single ‘Black Harvest’.

On Wednesday 1^st August, Visionquest will be taking over the whole of DC10, for the third year in a row, for their only party on Ibiza of the season. This time, however, they will be ‘transforming the entire club into a immersive environment, building a temporary world of subconscious thought, where past memories will be tested by visual and mental uncertainties of a once familiar yet newly altered space.’

Hosted by Melbourne’s own techno DJ/producer, Dave Pham, music industry and fans were recently invited to participate in a one-hour special Q&A session organized by Australian promoters, Novel, featuring the guest of honour, Derrick May. 

Carl Kennedy & Joel Edwards - Lost In Rio (Wasted Youth)

We like Carl Kennedy here and have been big admirers of him, watching him grow with his own productions and DJ sets, nailing that Subliminal residency at Pacha Ibiza, as well as playing for the brand at many of their other events. Now, following on from his huge ‘Once Upon A Time’ track on Subliminal (a former Tune of the Day), this is the first release on his own label, Wasted Youth.

Sirkus Sirkuz, the new solo project from Decky Hedrock (The Japanese Popstars/Hedrock Valley Beats) recently released ‘Rapier’, the first full release for 9G Records and second appearance on the label. It’s a driving and gritty electro track, steeped deep in a four to the floor house beat and vocal. It’s already getting support and love from the likes of Crookers, Digitalism, Medicine 8 and more.

Alex M.O.R.P.H., the charismatic trance DJ and producer, favoured for his many productions, remixes and energetic drive, has just released the follow-up to his debut album ‘Purple Audio’. Including 17 brand new M.O.R.P.H. originals, the album is titled, ‘Prime Mover’. 

Toolroom Records delivers one of their most highly anticipated releases to date as Mark Knight hooks up with Skunk Anansie’s lead vocalist, Skin, on their huge collaboration, ‘Nothing Matters’. The release comes complete with remixes from Tensnake, CaPa and Noisia. 

Garlands Ibiza theatrics for 2012 kicked off last night, a full-blown ‘Garlands Spectacular’ with the club’s brand of DJs and entertainers contributing to the Garlands/Bedlam mayhem and madness. Taking place at Sankeys in Playa d’en Bossa, the venue is the closest venue in size and scope to Garlands’ Liverpool nerve centre and also crucially has the hallmarks of the true nature of Ibiza at heart. It’s a club built on the heritage of acid house, and is the perfect environ for Garlands to bring their own brand of madness to the island, and will be gracing the club during the peak season on Mondays, from last night until 20^th August.

Anthea – Distraction EP (One Records)

One for those who like things on the deeper side of house music. ‘Distraction’ is from the UK’s Anthea, who’s now Berlin-based and obviously getting fantastic inspiration from its organic scene. Running her own label, Brouqade, she’s previously released on labels such as Freak N Chic and Desolat, but this time she hooks up with Adam Shelton and Subb-an to release on their One Records label.

GUESS, the denim-based lifestyle brand, recently announced that the company is embarking on a comprehensive collaboration with DJ and producer Tiësto that will include a limited-edition capsule collection and branded performances around the world. Beginning in August, the Limited Edition Tiësto watch by GUESS, a new multi-functional style, will be available worldwide in GUESS stores around the world and also at department and specialty stores.

With just a couple of months to go until Dimensions brings Fort Punta Christo in Croatia to life, Dimensions Festival recently announced some last minute additions. Originally from New York, Nicolas Jaar spent a few years growing up in Chile before retuning to his birthplace as a teenager. At the age 14 Jaar began making electronic music having been inspired by native Chilean music and the minimal sounds of Ricardo Villalobos. His unique take on music saw his first album reach critical acclaim and go on tour with a full band. Now regarded by many as one of the best up and coming minds in electronic music, Nicolas Jaar joins the Dimensions line-up.

Already labeled as a ‘summer smash’ by Radio’s 1’s Annie Mac, alongside clocking up hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube, the next Drumsound & Bassline Smith single ‘Through The Night’ could be their biggest hit to date and a fitting lead into their new artist album project. Earlier this year Andy Wright, Ben Wiggett and Simon Bassline Smith aka Drumsound & Bassline Smith hit the UK top 40 with their co-production of Utah Saints’ ‘What Can You Do For Me’. 

Thorn – Gypsy (Federico Scavo Remix) (Airplane! Records)

What a way to start the week! Thorn’s ‘Gypsy’ came out earlier this year and has always been one of our favourite tracks of 2012, getting released on the ever-reliable Airplane! Records from Italy. Its beats and massive trumpet sounds dominated the track, evoking images of parties on the beach in some far-off, exotic Latino country.

Karin Park shook up the underground in 2011 with the release of her critically acclaimed EP ‘Tiger Dreams’. Reigniting Sweden’s electronic scene with her own injection of dark, synth driven goth-pop, Karin is regarded as Scandinavia’s hottest new export. 

Basto is Belgium’s freshest EDM export and is well known for his melodic brand of feel-good progressive dance music. His latest release is proving pretty popular, having sampled classic ‘80s pop royalty Spandau Ballet and their global hit ‘Gold’. Basto utilises the tremendous vocal pipes of Tony Hadley from Spandau Ballet, marrying the familiar hook of ‘Gold’ with a banging main room electronic vibe that’s been smashing it at gigs across the globe.

Fake Blood’s eagerly anticipated debut album, ‘Cells’, will be released on Different Recordings this autumn. Renowned for his hi octane, electro-influenced productions, this record could be one of the standout albums of 2012. 

Kissdafunk's first digital compilation saw the long-running UK house brand propelled into a new market, with a chart topping double album of house and electro anthems from some of the biggest names in house - mixed by The Squatters & Rob Tissera. 

With a successful 2012 showing no signs of letting up, Dutch duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano recently embarked on their latest tour, taking in many countries across Europe and North America. For the rest of July and all the way through the month of August, these two artists will be off the ground more than on as their tour takes in everywhere from Croatia to Canada.

Feast Records release ‘Who’s That Girl’ EP by James Pople this August, backed with remixes from Inxec and Miguel Puente. Feast Records was born out of the Infamous London based ‘Feast’ events and launched back in April with Sean Roman’s ‘The Moan’ EP, with remixes from MANIK and Waifs & Strays. British producer James Pople now joins the roster, following releases on rising imprint Lower East and Love Not Money alongside the likes of Lee Foss, Bubba and Nico Purman.

Kicking off last night, Exit Festival in Serbia is hosting a full live transmission via Internet and social media platforms. Partnering with YouTube, YouTube.com/EXITfestivalTV will transmit a full stream of selected festival acts live and direct, while the next day, until the next live broadcasts, the festival’s YouTube page will provide recordings of the best festival bits from the night before.

Out on the 15^th of this month, Toolroom Records release ‘Toolroom Ibiza Essentials 2012’, a top selection of tracks from one of the UK’s best labels. From the vibes of Mark Knight’s ‘Alright’ to the fresh and exclusive sounds of Da Fresh’s ‘Sex Toy’ or Mike Newman’s ‘I Need It’, the album gives 20 full-length and unedited DJ friendly tunes that are blowing up the scene right now. 

Huxley and Jimmy Poster’s Saints & Sonnets imprint delivers another slice of house music in August, with J.Cub Ft Bibi’s ‘Crying Over You’ coming with remixes from BNJMN and RNDM. J Cub’s productions, edits and bootlegs have been finding favour with many over the past year, with releases for Foot & Mouth and Eclectic Avenue creating solid underground waves for the deeper heads. 

Rosske – Hello Ibiza (1980 Recordings)

Final one for this week and as usual, we leave you with a monster tune for the weekend. Rosske’s ‘Hello Ibiza’ has been available for a while on Beatport, but we’ve been sitting on it until now, as it’s today that it gets a worldwide release. There are two mixes to choose from, the original and the remix from Cavin Viviano. 

Big news from the San Diego Comic-Con International, the world’s largest pop culture convention, as 343 Industries and Microsoft Corp. unveiled the official trailer for “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn,” the live-action digital series based on the best-selling Xbox franchise. The series will be initially distributed worldwide by Machinima, debuting on its new channel, Machinima Prime, as well as on Halo Waypoint on October 5th, 2012. “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn” will unfold through a series of five episodes, setting the stage for the worldwide launch of “Halo 4” on Nov. 6.

Ultra Music Festival and Final Kid’s newly launched YouTube channel ‘UMF TV’, unleashed its very first episode. Now live and available to viewers from all corners of the planet – no geo-blocking – UMF TV has just released UMF TV – Episode #1: “Avicii”.

Ramon Tapia’s ‘Wonderland’ is the third release from his Say What? Imprint and drops mid-August, backed with a remix from veteran producer Patrick Bruyndonx in his BP guise. Ramon’s previous output has been for labels such as Skint, Toolroom, 100% Pure and Suara, all firmly establishing the Belgian’s credentials as a DJ and producer.

Jay’s Toy Robot Feat Biblical Jones – Live In You (Rootz Records)

A soulful house track as our Tune of the Day and it’s not a Monday, check us throwing caution to the wind! But, as you plough throw loads of submitted reviews and digital promos, trying to pick one as a Tune of the Day, sometimes a record just grabs you. Like this one did, from Jay’s Toy Robot, featuring the vocals of Biblical Jones.

The first two shows to launch the 2012 autumn series of the Warehouse Project have now been put on sale. Taking place on Friday 28^th and Saturday 29^th September, these two events will be held back at the same location as the Easter weekend.The full season of Warehouse Project’s events and artists will be announced in just under two weeks.

Dayglow (Life in Color), the proclaimed “World’s Largest Paint Party”, recently announced their most ambitious tour to date with a staggering 30 dates already confirmed for their “2012 The E.N.D (Electronic Never Dies) Tour”. Taking the paint party to new levels of production, technology and talent, Dayglow events are meticulously designed and produced, the refined culmination of years within the now booming electronic music industry.

Tiësto has announced the addition of Chicago, Illinois and several West Coast dates to his “Club Life College Invasion Tour.” Special guests will accompany Tiësto on all dates - Dada Life will perform at the Chicago date while Tommy Trash will perform at all West Coast dates. The tour was the first and is the largest dance music tour to ever hit the American college market and features special guests Dada Life, Bingo Players and Tommy Trash. Tiësto will headline the tour this fall/autumn with stops at campuses across the United States. 

Matthias Tanzmann crafts the new ‘fabric 65’ into a chunky and mesmerizing episode of the definitive compilation series. Released on August 20^th in Europe and September 18^th in North America, ‘fabric 65’ is an atmospheric mix, retaining a solid drive throughout from the steady pace of Monkey Maffia’s deep and melodic ‘Sources From The Past’ to the mischievous groove of ’Butt’ from Jeff Moore & Jamie Lie A Kwie. The mix unfolds into the hypnotic and sultry tones of Alexis Cabrera’s ‘Everything’ before the percussive explosion of Just Be’s ‘Rain Come Down’ makes a climactic end.

Noir & Haze – Around (Defected)

Out this week, this is the Noir & Haze anthem from 2011 now remixed with shiny new mixes for this summer’s season in Ibiza. With its memorable line of ‘what goes around will come around and come back and get ya’, which we couldn't agree with more, this is a true house music tune, complete with great beats and a cool vocal. 

Benji is the latest signing to Tiësto’s Musical Freedom Records. The talented Canadian producer’s debut single, ‘Steel Eyes’, features a blend of indie vocals, acoustic guitar and progressive house that could be making its way into the sets of some of dance music’s biggest names.

Previously only available on 12” vinyl, the 30^th of this month will see the digital release of ‘King Of Light’ by Mark Flash, on the UR - Underground Resistance label. Hailing from New York but now based in Detroit, with previous releases on Upstart, Footwork and Hi-Phen Music Delivery, Mark Flash joined the Underground Resistance movement and delivered the ‘Brasilia EP’ in 2008. Now for his second solo outing, Mark lays down three tracks of hi-tech funk on ‘King Of Light’.

illyus is a Glasgow, Scotland based DJ that really is starting to make all the right noises in music. With a few key residencies in the city, he’s been dabbling in production for a while now and already has a few credible remixes and tunes to his credit. This latest one, ‘Lovers’, was picked up by Dash Deep records and with hype for it increasing on a daily basis, it all adds to the gaining momentum for this young DJ/producer. 

On the back of another great T in the Park, festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager are looking ahead to 2013, when T in the Park will celebrate the significant milestone of its 20^th year. Fans can ensure they’re part of the occasion and secure their place in the 85,000 strong crowd daily when a limited batch of early bird tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 13^th July at 2012 prices.

Hed Kandi 10 Years Of Ibiza

It's now often we have an album as a Tune of the Day, but this one's pretty special. Hed Kandi and Ibiza have been synonymous with one another for a decade now and to celebrate launching a 17-week season of debauched hedonistic fun and escapism, they’re issuing one of their biggest releases to date in the aptly named ‘Hed Kandi Ibiza 10 Years’. The old adage of if-it-ain’t-broke-don’t-fix-it is an ethos that runs deep within the Hed Kandi brand: from their recognisable artwork and uniquely glamorous imagery to a DJ roster where the music is more important than star spinners with egos to match. 

Amfibius Recordings return from a brief hiatus to deliver ‘Spywerk – The Sulli & 5657 Remixes’ comprising three remixes, two from Sulli & 5657 and one from Reno Knightz.

 Born out of Reno, Nevada USA, Amfibius Recordings are 25 releases strong since launching in 2007. Having seen in works from the likes of Jay Tripwire and Jacob London, the focus for the label is centred around quality, upfront house music. 

Henry Saiz is conducting an experiment that takes the relationship between a DJ and his fans to the next level, as he delves into the minds of his audience. The study will put participants under observation in an attempt to capture and access their subconscious and manifest it as music. His aim? To investigate, if by tapping into the core of fans imaginations and psyches through their personal samples, you can isolate the intangible feelings within these sounds, catching and re-interpreting their essence and adding this to the concept of an album. 

Soulmagic - Someone Like You (Inc. Matt Early, Kings Of Groove & Alfred Azzetto Remixes) (Soulmagic Recordings)

‘Someone Like You’ is the soulful summer anthem from top Danish duo Soulmagic, aka Morten Trust and Mikkel Wendelboe, and features the lush voice of Janus aka J-Sun. The track is a proper peach of a house track that gives a cheeky wink to Alicia Myers' 'I Want To Thank You'. 

Ibiza & Mallorca Live recently announced Tinie Tempah to headline the Balearics biggest open-air gig, Mallorca Live on 17^th July. Tinie joins a plethora of A-list stars for this summer’s Mallorca Live festival in the infamous BCM Square. Tinie will be hot on the tail of previous Mallorca Live headliners including Dizzee Rascal, Example, Rizzle Kicks, Professor Green, JLS, Dappy, DJ Fresh & Tulisa, while warming the island up for the arrival of the Jessie J, Wretch 32, Labrinth, Dot Rotten, Rev Run (Run DMC) and more special guests to be announced. 

On Sunday the 29^th of July at the Tomorrowland Festival in Boom (Belgium), Brighton born and bred techno pioneer, Dave Clarke, will host his own stage at the event. Dave’s stage will be the second biggest stage of a total of 15 stages, simply yet effectively named ‘Dave Clarke Presents’. The line-up of artists, handpicked by Dave Clarke personally, presents a versatile selection of performing artists within the techno genre and its sub genres.     

Young Austrian label Schonbrunner Perlen team up with Denis Yashin for a brand new EP featuring remixes from Echonomist, Zanshin and label boss Ken Hayakawa. The Schonbrunner Perlen label launched earlier this year, spawned from the local Austrian electronic music scene that arose from Vienna’s fifth district of the same name. Focused on releasing quality electronic music, the label, headed by Ken Hayakawa, has already been picking up attention with its first two releases from Oberst & Buchner and Hayakawa himself.

Craggz & Parallel return with some new material in the form of the ‘Product Placement EP’, their first major release since the ‘Turn The Page’ LP. Kicking off proceedings is the gritty tech stylings of ‘Hurt You’. The creeping intro, all filtered ‘80s synths, horns and a lilting looping female vocal lure you in one direction before a classic break turns it into a dark and moody stepper which should appeal to those who like their sounds slightly more edgy and raw.  

With over 25 releases under its belt, Fierce Animal Recordings is known for its serious yet quirky style of eclectic tunes, ranging from infectious tech-house to groovy techno. Since its low-key inception, its reputation has been growing steadily by word of mouth, with support and praise coming from all directions. This month, the label gets set to release ‘DJ Hal – Inside The Space Circus’.
