The label has once again partnered with football fashion brand Meyba to create the limited-edition shirt and this year's edition displays a new Defected worldwide globe icon and Defected 2026 football patch alongside a colourful, flags-of-the-world pattern down each sleeve that aims to represent the global nature of Defected and house music.

A&R is an important part of electronic dance music, as so many tracks are produced and released every week that some form of filtering is necessary. Somebody has to look for the new talent, nurture it, mentor budding up-and-coming artists, give feedback on tunes and help producers with their productions.

He is a leading figure who popularised the Big Beat genre throughout the ‘90s and ‘00s, a sound that possibly time-stamped the decades. An ambassador for ‘Cool Britannia’, he is loyal to his hometown Brighton, bringing his sound to the rest of the world with albums like ‘You've Come a Long Way, Baby’ and singles such as ‘Praise You’ and ‘The Rockafeller Skank’.

Every year, a group of artists, industry friends and music lovers cycle from London to Amsterdam Dance Event as part of Bridges For Music to raise funds for creative education in underserved communities in South Africa. Past riders include Richie Hawtin, Joris Voorn, Chris Liebing, Pan-Pot, Parallelle and many others. Over time, it's apparently become a bit of a tradition and a meaningful (and sustainable) way to arrive at ADE.
