With the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, Defected marks the occasion with its third official Defected football shirt, plus a brand-new track jacket. The label has once again partnered with football fashion brand Meyba to create the limited-edition shirt, and this year's edition displays a new Defected worldwide globe icon and Defected 2026 football patch alongside a colourful, flags-of-the-world pattern down each sleeve that aims to represent the global nature of Defected and house music.
The fan-led campaign with photographer Peyton Mixon and Jaren Harris (JFro) highlights this unifying power, with the pair quietly making their own content for Defected’s merch, specifically the Meyba football shirts, for several years. As a result, the label has trusted them with photoshoots in their home city of Dallas for this campaign, one of the host cities for the World Cup in 2026.
The brand new 2026 shirt includes some special details and touches that may make this a future collector's item, including two stitched gold stars symbolising Defected Records’ two UK chart No.1 singles, a ’Defected Worldwide’ woven side tab, a number 26 squad number, new Defected Worldwide club badge and a Defected Football woven arm patch.
Launching alongside the shirt is a fresh, limited-edition track jacket – the London label’s first outerwear collaboration with Meyba.
The jacket combines classic sportswear styling with modern streetwear details, with the zip-through silhouette offering a relaxed feel that’s easy to wear on match days, club nights and beyond. Finished with premium trims, woven appliqué badges and co-branded detailing, the track jacket aims to be a standout layer built for everyday wear.
Meyba is the Spanish brand responsible for the Barcelona shirts of the ‘80s, adorned by the likes of Maradona, Cruyff, Koeman, Laudrup and a young Pep Guardiola.
The 2026 Defected x Meyba World Cup football shirt and track jacket will be available to order now exclusively at Defected.
