Following her singles ‘Be Here Now’ and ‘Retox,’ British Berlin-based techno artist BEC releases her full extended player ‘Be Here Now’ via Factory 93. The title track draws inspiration from Berlin’s club scene with her ability to weave rhythms with percussion and ambiences, crafting a sonic experience that features across the entire EP.

Jack Back returns to Defected alongside CeCe Rogers for ‘Freedom 2024,’ a fresh take on the record reworked for today’s dancefloors. David Guetta releases under his Jack Back alias as a reminder of his authentic house roots, partnering with Defected on many occasions since his label debut ‘(It Happens) Sometimes’ in 2018.

To coincide with the 40th anniversary of Chicago house music, Jack Said What release a record by Chip E this month. ‘One of the founding fathers of house’, Chip has already remixed the signature ‘Jack Said What’ track by bossman Steve Mac for the label, and now comes with a fresh track of his own. A stripped-down slab of electronic body music finds him showing that he’s still in touch with the zeitgeist all these years later, with the vocals from Missy simple yet effective.

Multi-disciplinary collective YOURS return to Defected with ‘Love Makes Me Better’, their fourth original single with the label. Following their label debut last year with ‘DÓNDE ESTÁ’, the group have apparently impressed selectors with their house sound, including Folamour, Groove Armada, Nic Fanciulli and Sian Eleri to name a few.
