From 10th until 16th November, the creators of four top festivals - Rainbow Serpent Festival (Australia), Glade Festival (UK), Symbiosis Festival (USA) and Mother (Japan) - come together for the first time to create the Eclipse2012 Festival in Australia. Running over six days in far north Queensland, just hours from tropical beaches and lush rainforests, this could end up being one of the most talked about events of the decade.
The festival is on the line of totality for an eclipse and will provide the most outrageous backdrop for one of nature’s truly incredible occurrences. This particular solar eclipse has the added dimension of occurring approximately one month before the end of the current Mayan Calendar making this a truly next level event and will feature some of the best underground electronic music artists from all corners of the globe. Below are some of the experiences you can expect to discover as you travel with the sun, moon and thousands of your new friends into harmony and alignment!
Sun Stage
Covering a range of styles including psytrance, progressive and techno the Sun Stage is the one stop destination for feet pounding aural delicacies. Presented by
Rainbow Serpent Festival (Aust), Glade Festival (UK) and Mother (Japan), expect to shed calories and tone those calve muscles through a week-long program of the world’s
best.
Moon Stage
Fresh from their own Eclipse event in May, Symbiosis will be teaming up with Earth Frequency Festival and Omelette Records to present a broken beat stage, with
the best of what the world and Australia have to offer across the genres of dubstep, glitch-hop, future bass, ethno-crunk, breakbeats, IDM and more.
Earth Stage
The Earth Stage is at the heart of the festival site, situated by the lake, with its own beach frontage. It is the destination for live reggae, dub, world music,
gypsy, electro swing, house, disco and all things in between! The music and arts program has been carefully selected by the crews from Shine On, Island Vibe and Bushweek for your visual and
auditory pleasure!
Chill Temple
Presented by Resonant Temple from Byron Bay, the Chill Temple will be a full production stage within a sacred geometry lotus temple. Featuring a line-up of international and local chill-out and
ambient artists, lush temple decor with a sacred intentional shrine, ritual performances and ceremony. Drop in and lush out within a space dedicated to celebrating the ambient spaces within art,
sound and self.
Eclipse Village
The Eclipse Village is a sacred space and intentional village within the festival especially created as a zone for you to expand your consciousness, learn new skills, and to connect with fellow
visionaries, yogis, artists, dreamers and healers from around the world. Featuring a stellar international and local line-up of teachers, futurists, visionaries, artists and elders.
