Michaël Canitrot delivers ‘Leave Me Now’ his next single release and the first piece of a new album to be released in 2013. Today sees the release of Michael’s new single, complete with an exclusive video. ‘Leave Me Now’ is aimed to be dropped in the main room at peak time, energized by a distinctive pop-rock vocal and equipped with big emotive drops. 

UK DJ and production duo The Squatters team up with house vocalist Steve Edwards on the vocals for ‘Back To The Stars’, an uplifting house track with polished percussion, feel-good vocals and big breakdowns. The Squatters, aka Oliver Portamento and Alex Powell, have gained support from Kissy Sell Out and previously remixed for some of the biggest names in the industry including Kissy Sell Out, Shinichi Osawa and Kryder.

On December 3^rd, Dutch production/DJ team W&W (AKA Ward van der Harst & Willem van Hanegem) will release their new single ‘Lift Off’ through their Mainstage Music label. While the track has classic trance influences and a sense of flow and journey, it quickly brings in punchier house elements that create a multidimensional sound.       

Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings label recently released a preview of Tony Romera’s track ‘Pandor’. Following up his remix of ‘Iron’, ‘Pandor’ marks the first release under Protocol Recordings that's not produced by Nicky Romero. The track will be out on Beatport on December 3.

Ultra Music Festival is coming to Croatia from 12^th – 14^th July 2013 for Ultra Europe. Taking place in the city of Split (12^th& 13^th July) and the island of Hvar (14^th July) for the very first time, organizers have also revealed the further news that Ultra Europe will now be housed exclusively in Croatia for at least the next five years.

Above & Beyond recently released the official HD music video for their latest single, ‘Alchemy’. Following on from the appearance of Steven Berkoff in the last video for ‘On My Way To Heaven’ the band have cast Hollywood actress Mackenzie Firgens, the star of classic clubbing movie Groove (with John Digweed), Chris Columbus' movie version of the hit musical Rent and the brand new Butcher Brothers film, The Thompsons. 

Revolvr's and Lea Luna’s new collaborative effort, ‘Machine EP’, is a three song EP that delivers a party-fuelled, high energy, vocal filled, bass-heavy EP aimed directly at the big room dance floor; which is exactly where you'll probably be hearing it.


Simian Mobile Disco, the UK electronic duo comprised of James Ford and Jas Shaw, kick off their North American live tour in support of their recent full length album ‘Unpatterns’ and recently released EP ‘A Form Of Change’ this Friday, November 30 in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theatre. The A Form Of Change World Tour will hit 12 North American cities before concluding on the two sailings of the S.S. Coachella next month. 

The 20th anniversary of Sonar will be a global celebration which begins in Reykjavik in February and culminates in Barcelona in June, passing through Africa, Asia and Latin America. In total, within the next six months, Sonar will be programming around 300 shows spread across 21 stages at its five festivals.

Soul Clap Records arrives with Impact, a new label, at Electric Pickle in Miami during the Art Basel festivities. Soul Clap line up their new roster of talent from the label including the indie-house talent of Night Plane (live) and scratch master Nick Monaco for 12 hours of festivity. Night Plane AKA William Rauschner is behind the debut release on Soul Clap Records, out now, and Monaco is scheduled for the second - coming early 2013.

Hed Kandi welcomes back the flying Dutchman, Patrick Hagenaar, with his brand new single ‘You Got Me Glowing (In The Dark)’. The follow up to his huge club hit, ‘L.O.V.E. Regarded as the leading curator of bass music, UKF's compilations have sold hundreds of thousands of albums over the past two years. 

Inspired by the grisly shootouts from Max’s past, the Painful Memories Pack will bring four new maps and more to Max Payne 3 Multiplayer this December. Players can revisit the subway bloodbath from the original Max Payne in the Roscoe Street Subway map. Flashback to the dingy Hoboken watering hole at Marty’s Bar, open fire on the posh Branco family yacht in Shoot First and wage Gang Wars at Canal De Panamá.

Hed Kandi recently released ‘Blowin Up’, the brand new single from Treasure Fingers as he collaborates with Codes. ‘Blowin Up’ is full of uplifting party-ready breaks, gritty synth melodies and a deep intricate bassline! 
Treasure Fingers, the DJ/producer born Ashley Jones, has already captured the ears of many, from Innerpartysystem, Monarchy, Theophilus London and Miike Snow to Eric Prydz, Romanthony and Roy Davis JR (all of whom requested the Treasure Fingers remix treatment). 

When three of Italy’s hottest and fresh-thinking DJs and producers - Alex Kenji, Manuel De La Mare & Luigi Rocca - decided to combine, the result was quite literally their namesake: Forza – translating as force – summarizes the trio’s waves in the worldwide scene completely. 

Cologne based Klangkultur Schallplatten team up with Chris James for the third vinyl release on the label. Dirk Hermann & Andreas Mueller’s Klangkultur Schallplatten label has been gaining a raft of support in 2012 with two extremely well-received singles from Darius Syrossian and DJ W!ld getting love from DJs as diverse as Adam Beyer, DJ Sneak, Huxley and Maya Jane Coles. Now the Cologne based imprint is teaming up with DJ/Producer Chris James.

John Tejada’s remix of ‘Rope’, the crossover single by The Love Theme featuring vocals by former Inspiral Carpets’ frontman Tom Hingley, marks the launch of Toronto’s Plumbline Records on 29 November 2012. ‘Rope’, taken from The Love Theme’s 2012 album ‘How Rude’, was remixed by Tejada and Germany’s Riccicomoto for this, the debut EP. 

Something slightly different for us, but a band certainly worth checking out! Desolation Yes! have released their track ‘Shivers’ as a free download ahead of the release of the new album ‘Out Of Orbit’ in early 2013. The band was previously signed to Neon Tetra Records, but now describe themselves as ‘fiercely independent’, and after over two years of recording the group is keen to release music in a fashion that supports grassroots music, journalism and media.



Shuffle opens up December with two diverse stars touching down at Plug. There’s also the Shuffle Winter Warmer party on Sat 29^th December, and Plug’s NYE session closing out what has been a decent year for the venue in Sheffield. The headliner for Shuffle’s first session of December is James Zabiela. The Dalek-obsessed beat-smith has become synonymous with technique-focused DJ sets. 

Spawned as Danny 'Dubble D' Ward’s alter ego last year the Moody Manc series of EPs have attracted huge attention from house music circles. For the next release on Fly By Night Music he starts off softly with ‘Clear Mountain’, where soft piano triads grow ever closer before a low-slung boogie bass sets the groove, and a lucid jazz trumpet completes the scene. 

This December Paul van Dyk will release the fourth installment of his radio broadcast mix - 'VONYC Sessions 2012’. Featuring the cream of the audio his show championed over the last 12 months, it includes tracks from Cosmic Gate, Orjan Nilsen, Tritonal, Judge Jules and Paul himself. 

Rob Rives returns with the first Floppy Sounds single in two years after 2010’s ‘City For Sale’ remixes that included Pete Heller, Tedd Paterson & Roberto Rodriguez. Reunited with ‘City For Sale’ vocalist Devon Dunaway, ‘Those Voices’ could be thought of as the next step for the despairing narrator of that earlier record.  Where in ‘City For Sale’, Dunaway was lamenting feeling left out of the New York party, now he’s hearing voices and having deranged, paranoid delusions. 

Following the Dirty Dutch takeover at this year’s ADE’s Ziggo Dome, Chuckie wastes no time and is set to release the ‘Dirty Dutch Exodus’ compilation this month. With the track list cherry picked and mixed by the man himself, expect to hear a superbly coherent collection of dance floor fillers. The digital release is available now on Beatport and the full CD release is due out at the beginning of December.

The #6 ranked DJ in the world, Hardwell, joined Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 this morning to deliver an Essential Mix packed with 56 tracks. In the mix was a plethora of exclusive material including a Hardwell and Laidback Luke collaboration, loads of upcoming Revealed Recordings releases, and several intricate mashups to give you an inside look into Hardwell’s future plans. The mix tops off what has no doubt been the best year of his career so far.

Tiga unleashes his brand new single ‘Plush’ on December 17 via Different Recordings / PIAS. Taken from his new mix CD ‘Tiga Non Stop’, the single was co-produced by Matthew Dear, starting as a freeform jam session and ending as something that works equally well as an underground club track. It also features what Tiga is privately calling his greatest vocal performance to date.

Converse Gigs @ 100 Club announced that The Toddla T Sound will take over the legendary club on Wednesday December 5. A widely respected DJ and producer, Tom Bell (AKA Toddla T) has officially released his brand new concept bridging the gap between his DJ sets and a full live show. Already road tested at various European festivals the response has been good!

Coldharbour Recordings present the first compilation from KhoMha. Since bursting onto the scene just 18 months back, the Columbian has seen his productions ignite the playlists of DJs as diverse as Armin, Axwell, Eric Prydz and Above & Beyond. The protégé of Markus Schulz, KhoMha is now set to make his first strike with this mix-comp collection. 

From November 30 until December 2, Armada Music presents a special theme weekend on Spotify. On that weekend, the Armada Radio play list will transform into the ‘Trance 75 – Best of 2012’ play list. Based on the physical release of the latest edition of the ‘Trance 75’ series, the play list will feature the trance highlights of 2012. 

Vato Gonzalez hooks up with the UK’s grime artist Lethal Bizzle and hip hop protégé Donae’o on new single ‘Not A Saint’. First surfacing as a remix, Vato Gonzalez’s rework of Lethal Bizzle & Donae’o – ‘Not A Saint’ grabbed attention so much that it’s now set for an official release. Gonzalez is no stranger to creating dancefloor bombs, since riding high in the charts last year with ‘Badman Riddim’ with fellow EDM star Foreign Beggars.

The label has Stefano Ritteri playing along with a very special guest DJ, someone they can’t announce yet due to a London gig this weekend. But, Defected assure you that it’s someone you won’t want to miss!

French electronic label Meant Records tee up their next release with the pairing of label boss Remain and Throne of Blood duo Populette, backed with remixes from Troy Pierce, Chloe and Marc Pinol. Meant Records has been at the heart of quality electronic music since opening its doors back in 2008. The French imprint owned by DJ/producer Remain has been behind releases from the likes of Rework, Vosper & Siskid as well as Remain’s own output and has garnered support from DJs such as Dan Avery, Horse Meat Disco, My Favorite Robot and Agoria.

The Italoboyz Superfiction Recordings imprint drops its second release this month entitled ‘Episode #2’ by the duo themselves featuring a remix from German duo Luna City Express. Superfiction Recordings launched back in late July with ‘Episode #1’ by Italoboyz, featuring remixes from John Dimas & Cosmic Cowboys and Superfiction’s teammie Blind Minded, earning early support from Ricardo Villalobos downwards, and then chart support from most of the usual suspects in the industry. 

Finally out this week, Arty, Nadia Ali & BT's 'Must Be The Love' has been peaking the charts and rocking clubs and now it has a fresh set of remixes by upcoming talents Dannic, Au5 and Shogun. The track melted the beats of Russian talent Arty, the warm voice of award-winning singer Nadia Ali and the melodies of legendary producer BT. 

(RED) recently announced a collaboration with electronic dance music pioneer, Tiësto. On November 27, Tiësto will release an exclusive compilation album, ‘DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES’, followed by a global live stream – powered by YouTube - from Melbourne’s Stereosonic Festival over World AIDS Day weekend on December 1^st and 2^nd. The compilation features artists including Calvin Harris, Avicii and Diplo, Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig as well as an exclusive collaboration between Tiësto and Bono on U2's 'Pride'. 

World-renowned DJ and producer Paul van Dyk is to participate in the 'Our Table Is Yours', Thanksgiving dinner benefit event tonight. The event is hosted by the Food Network, Cooking Channel and Southern Wine & Spirits of America for invited guests affected by Hurricane Sandy, and takes place at Cipriani Wall Street, New York City.

Manchester based house and techno night Content look to the second release on their recently launched label, placing production duties into the hands of Deymare. Content has been leading the charge on Manchester’s electronic music scene for the last few years, bringing in some of the world’s best DJ talent to play their monthly Friday night parties. Sets from the likes of Derrick May, Josh Wink, Kerri Chandler, Francois K, Raresh, and Juan Atkins have made the club a Mecca for lovers of underground music and led to Content being nominated by DJ Magazine for best club night in the UK. 

This month will see Fedde Le Grand’s Dark Light Sessions radio show go global, and to commemorate, Fedde is taking over North America with his parties! The 16-date, three-week tour is Fedde’s way of giving back to fans that have shown loyal support to the show, which goes out on Sirius XM to 18.5 million subscribers. 

Sean's Tytanium Recordings label is back this month with 'What I Am', Sean's debut collaboration with singer / songwriter Julie Thompson and the track is already crossing musical boundaries with early promo support coming from DJs spanning trance to house and everything in between, plus even mainstream radio playlist rotation.

After a successful phase one of their joint North American tour, trance duos Tritonal and Super8 & Tab have just released the tour's namesake--their collaboration, ‘ARC’. Out now on Air Up There Recordings, 'ARC' is a big-room progressive house track with trancey undertones which showcases the energy the pairs have unleashed from coast to coast this fall/autumn. 

Madrid based imprint Depaart bring you Moliner’s ‘We Are One’ EP featuring a remix from Italian duo Dzeta N’ Basile. Depaart are three releases deep and have already garnered support from a wide variety of reputable artists ranging from DJ Deep and Halo Varga through to Arnaud Le Texier, Tuccilo and Pawas. Moliner is one of the two members driving the label and is a regular on the DJ circuit of Depaart’s birthplace, Madrid.

One of our all time favourite production duos, Gabriel & Dresden, return to the EDM fold with ‘Play It Back’, a return to form for the hit-making, award-winning duo of Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden. Ministry of Sound and Nissan continue their flourishing partnership tonight with an Italian tour this month and into December headlined by Italian DJ Alex Neri and taking in cities including Rome, Milan, and Naples. Alex Neri (Planet Funk/Tenax Recordings/Monique Musique) has been at the forefront of Italian house music for over 20 years. He knows this terrain better than anybody and has helped shape the Italian dance music scene as a producer, performer and DJ - from his Italo house productions as Alex Lee and Kamasutra in the ‘90s to forming electronic music group Planet Funk, whose hit track ‘Chase The Sun’ has led to five Planet Funk album releases.

Toolroom Knights crash lands in Brasil, with head honcho Mark Knight leading the way alongside São Paulo’s Wehbba to provide a double mix compilation of some of the finest tunes set to rock South America’s dancefloors. Hudd Traxx bring you the ‘Inconditional’ EP this month by French producer Manchester based Andrade, comprising of four original cuts. Over the past seven years Hudd Traxx has maintained a high status in the underground, focusing on vinyl releases from the world of house and techno. The label has released material from the likes of Agnès, Sascha Dive, Iron Curtis, Rolando and Sneak. Here Andrade slots in amongst the aforementioned names with ‘Inconditional’, following his latest offering on D’Julz’ Bass Culture imprint.

October’s event at Cable saw 1600 dedicated party-people clambering through the doors and onto the dancefloor of the London Bridge nightclub. Now, Saturday 1^st of December will see Krafty Kuts return to Cable with his club night An Evening With. Spread across all three rooms of the South London club, the line up is a mixture of sound and styles.

Dan Ghenacia, the man behind the new DJ outfit and record label, Apollonia, alongside Shonky and Dyed Soundorom, is heading to the USA on a five-date tour, starting tonight. Having recently completed his 12th year as resident at Circo Loco at DC10, the Parisian DJ is heading Stateside to the place where his passion for deep house music originally began.

Brooklyn, NY based EDM record label Brooklyn Fire, and New York, NY based entertainment marketing & PR firm UG Strategies, in collaboration with Live Nation and New York, NY based GBH Events, recently announced “EDM For Sandy Relief,” a benefit concert for The American Red Cross and Hurricane Sandy victims, in association with Sol Republic. 

The Squatters and Trackitdown team up for a huge remix competition with prizes worth over £700. Following eight releases and over a year of label parties at East London venues XOYO and The Nest, Grand Hotel Records seems to have been gathering pace on a day-by-day basis since its inception. Key support from A-Trak, Annie Mac, DJ Zinc, Carl Cox, Arman Van Helden, Orbital, Fatboy Slim, Crookers, Moby and Annie Nightingale has secured the label as possibly one of the most promising underground imprints around. 

On December 21^st 2012, the 5,125-year cycle of the Maya calendar will reach its conclusion. Contrary to popular belief this does not signal the end of the world as we know it but, in the words of Damian Lazarus, it is “the beginning of a new chapter.” The Crosstown Rebels boss is planning a huge celebration for this momentous occasion in the shape of Day Zero. 

Milanese duo The Barking Dogs return to the Gomma label for a new single featuring Rush Hour’s Tom Trago and a remix from Analogue Cops. ‘Your High’ show’s why the pair have been picking up dedicated support from the likes of James Murphy (DFA), Soul Clap and Toally Enrmous Extinct Dinosaurs. Italian DJ/producers Cristian Croce and Nicola Mazzetti AKA The Barking Dogs have been building a reputation over the past five years. 

Perhaps the most hypnotising of all the tracks on Matthew Dear’s acclaimed fifth studio album ‘Beams’, ‘Fighting Is Futile’ is a multi-layered blend of handclaps, Matthew’s now trademark vocals, keys and synths. A definite album highlight, the track is now available for free download, with a shared remix courtesy of Seth Troxler, out today.

November 2012 see the launch of South Coast beat mechanic Mark Dobson’s Lost Tribe label. Fast building himself an international following for his Ambassadeurs project – Mark decided the time was right to launch his own label focusing on forward thinking bass-oriented electronic music. The first vinyl only release will collect four Ambassadeurs tracks that have never been commercially released onto one 12”.

LA-resident Antonio Giacca takes a brief break from outputting productions on his own imprint Optimizer to turn out a track for Toolroom Records in the shape of ‘Alumbra’. 

Kris Menace teams up with Miss Kittin to reveal 'Hide', the launch single taken from his debut vocal album called 'Features’. First time director Mathieu Bétard created the animated video for ‘Hide’, working with the award winning Parisian production house Quad / WizzProd.

Audiojack return to 20:20 Vision with the release of the ‘No Equal Sides’ EP, comprising three original cuts from the Leeds based producers. Audiojack's last 20:20 single, the 'Get Serious’ EP, was a big release, and it’s taken them the best part of year to follow it up with another set of three tracks. In that year they have been further developing their sound and nurturing their Gruuv label.

Leftroom Limited follows up the contribution from Waifs & Strays with Maceo Plex teaming up with Odd Parents and Mark E turning in two remixes. Much like Ellum Audio’s Maceo Plex, Odd Parents are US expats now residing in Spain and, having released on Ellum earlier in 2012, have become part of the label’s family unit. This is the second Odd Parent’s collaboration this year with the duo’s remix of D.Ablo & Eric Volta alongside Danny Daze creating enough of a buzz to tempt Maceo Plex into the studio with the Philadelphia pair for ‘Get Enough’. 


After a brief hiatus Hi:Rise returns in the form of ‘Ain’t That The Way’ from James Talk featuring Cari Golden. If you’ve been anywhere near a dance floor in the past nine years, it’s possible that you will have been grooving to the hypotonic sounds of Southampton’s unsung hero, James Talk. After gaining notoriety back in 2005 after his widely acclaimed mix on Digweed’s Kiss 100 show, James has been championed by the likes of Pete Tong, Steve Lawler and Sasha, and had a wealth of successful releases on labels including Defected, Saved, Noir and Get Physical. 

Toronto’s My Favorite Robot Records team up with eccentric Danish/Icelandic duo The Mansisters for an EP of twisted electronic grooves. The Mansisters is the new moniker of Scandinavian duo Kasper Bjørke and Jon Atli / Sexy Lazer, a pair who have both had previous successes as producers recording for the likes of Steve Bug’s HFN label, Compost Black and Plant. Now, so the story goes, they have joined forces and set up camp together in a huge Copenhagen mansion where they live with a host of plastic and porcelain animals, apparently not having time for real pets due to their dancefloor commitments! 

Seamus Haji celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Big Love subsidiary label Soul Love with a look back at some of the more soulful and funkier releases on both labels across two bonus DJ mixes. Revealed Recordings front man, Hardwell, delivers a new track, ‘Apollo’, as follow-up to his critically acclaimed ‘Spaceman’. Previously debuted at the Revealed Recordings label night at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), ‘Apollo’ highlights why Hardwell is one of the leading producers of this generation.

Now making their long-awaited return to the label with the follow up to ‘Troll’, they return with ‘Bamf / Dynamic’.

Fadil El Ghoul, better-known as R3hab is now about to embark on his first Asia tour of 2012. Kicking-off on November 29^th, this seven date seven-country tour sees him start off in Hong Kong and finishing up 10 days later in South Korea. R3hab will bring his take on electronic music to some of the world’s premiere venues across Asia, from Zouk (Singapore) to Colour (Tokyo), giving Asian fans their only opportunity this year to see him.

Craig Connelly’s newest production, ‘Like Whatever’, is a mixture of electro-infused, floor-filling trance with an irregular triplet rhythm mid-song that adds an element of surprise. Debuted on The Gareth Emery Podcast at the end of October and on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance 585, 'Like Whatever' will be released on Garuda on November 26. 



This fall/autumn Pete Tong is partnering with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment, the leading media company in America, to launch the ‘All Gone Pete Tong’ radio show on their new EDM station, ‘Evolution’. Accompanying the launch of the ‘All Gone Pete Tong’ radio show will be a 10 date North American tour and a double disc ‘All Gone Pete Tong: Future Sounds’ CD compilation (previewed here) that Tong mixed with Cadenza star Reboot for Defected Records.

Ray Okpara’s Ama Recordings has released Sven Kegel’s ‘Black Jack’ EP backed with a remix from French House stalwart Chris Carrier. Sven Kegel was born and raised in Germesheim, a small district of South West Germany, on doses of minimal, tech-house and house driven through the country by its neighbouring city Mannheim. The signature sound of the city deeply resonates influence within Kegel’s productions and here Sven joins many of the pioneering artists of the Mannheim sound with Nick Curly, Sascha Dive, Johnny D, Nekes and Ray himself on the roster.

Paul Weller finishes off 2012, which saw him land a Number 1 album with ‘Sonik Kicks’, with the release of the ‘Dragonfly’ EP on December 17th. The EP is a collection of hidden tracks brought together for the first time from the critically acclaimed ‘Sonik Kicks’ album recording sessions. The digital version will be accompanied by a strictly limited numbered edition of 3000 vinyl copies of the ‘Dragonfly’ EP. The artwork has been specially commissioned by Peter Blake – the first time he has collaborated with Weller since he designed the ‘Stanley Road’ album sleeve in 1995.

The Warehouse Project's New Year’s Day Party, which will close the season, has sold out in one morning! As previously revealed on this site, those lucky enough to have got hold of tickets, will be starring into the bright lights of 2013 with Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Derrick Carter, Four Tet and Julio Bashmore to name but a few. However, there is still more to come as Laurent Garnier is to celebrate 25 years in the DJ business with a special show at The Warehouse Project on Sunday December 16.

Just Another Day is a brand new Sunday daytime party at a secret East London location. The new space is in a location equipped with a Function One sound-system, cocktail bar and heated indoor chillout area. Kicking off on Sunday December 2, the first of many announced artists is James What, who, with previous releases on labels such as Poker Flat and a solo release on Crosstown Rebels, is going from strength to strength, even catching time to collaborate with Damian Lazarus for their track 'Rise Before Zod'.

Gemini aka Thomas Slinger, the 22-year-old producer, singer songwriter returns on November 12 with the ‘Mercury EP’ on his own label Inspected Records, which has pioneered the rise of underground artists such as KOAN Sound and Zeds Dead. Between amassing well over 20 million views across YouTube, completing a 33 date US and Canada tour and remixing the likes of Lana Del Rey, Emeli Sandé and Ed Sheeran, Gemini’s built up an incredible following over the last year.

Billboard Magazine named Danny Avila one of their ‘21 Under 21: Ones To Watch’; he’s the youngest ever prime-time resident on America’s only national radio broadcaster SiriusXM and he held three residencies in Ibiza this summer alone including one alongside Tiësto; and he’s not even old enough to vote. Now he’s confirmed that his debut single release ‘Breaking Your Fall’ has been signed to Big Beat Records, an imprint of the Atlantic Records Group.

Having released their remix of The Prodigy’s ‘Breathe’ on XL Recordings just days ago and with a slot at Belgium's November edition of I Love Techno just around the corner (10th November), Canadian duo Zeds Dead announced a December European tour. 

Hot off the back of his recent ‘Arcobaleno’ and ‘Falcons’ collaborations (which over the course of summer 2012 picked up Single of the Month awards in MIXMAG and DJ Mag), Giuseppe Ottaviani returns to solo production mode for his new single ‘Lost For Words’. On the Club and OnAir Mixes, Giuseppe spikes ‘Lost For Words’ with drums, plucked strings, synths and a full spectrum of other big room components.

With a slew of heavy hitters under their belt, The Prototypes latest offering is no exception to the rule as they infiltrate sound systems around the world to drop two absolute tracks in their trademark sledgehammer style. The Protos start things off in full-on uplifting spirits with ‘Suffocate’, a lesson in big room vocal led D&B. 

ZiiZii Records returna with Zee & Eli’s ‘Release Yourself’ EP, comprising five original cuts from the southern England based producers. Since its inception ZiiZii Records has seen support from the likes of Droog, Maceo Plex, Andre Crom, Death On The Balcony and Danny Daze, showing its fresh outlook on electronic music is making all the right waves for the modern disco movement of today. 

Miguel Campbell shot to notoriety in 2011 after ‘Something Special’, his debut release on Jamie Jones' Hot Creations label, became one of the biggest tracks of the year. One year on his debut album, ‘Back In Flight School’, reignites even more cross genre potential. Set to put Miguel back in the end of year charts for a second year running, ‘Back In Flight School’ is a smooth and addictive ride that’s rich in harmonies and full of contagious basslines. From the opening title track to the closing moments, Campbell explores where the highs of house meets the depths of soulful funk and disco nostalgia. 

Circus moves towards the end of 2012 with another showcase lined up for its London residency in Egg. The year has already seen the likes of Sascha Dive, Riva Starr, Guy J and Dinky join Yousef down in the capital’s resurgent rave enclave, but this gig sees arguably the most anticipated and special of the lot so far. Headlining on Friday November 30 will be Laurent Garnier and his LBS project. Few guests manage to get the full scope of what Circus is about, but Laurent certainly has. He first graced the club back in 2004 and his eclectic approach has been fully representative of the stylistic shifts and turns Circus has been a part of across house and techno over the years. 

After the success of their third Birthday Warehouse Party, Face has decided to throw another one. This time on December 29^th at the Rainbow Warehouse, it is to be headlined by Martinez Brothers, Laura Jones, Mosca and Dusky who between them will play all across the warehouse and garden. The Martinez Brothers are two of the youngest and most exciting DJ and production talents in the game – having worked with the likes of Dennis Ferrer and his Objektivity label, Jerome Sydenham and his legendary Ibadan as well as having done studio collaborations with the likes of Argy, Chris and Steve Jnr.

Tala’s fledgling Doble Clic Music label looks to the latest release from its owner, featuring four tracks of deep and emotive electronic music. Brazilian born Paulo Cominotti Gamond AKA Tala has quietly been making a solid name for himself over the past few years releasing records on Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom offshoot Left’d as well as labels such as Depto and FHD. 

The biggest entertainment event of 2012 isn’t a Hollywood movie – it’s a blockbuster video game. Hailed by Newsweek/The Daily Beast as potentially the “biggest entertainment launch of 2012 – in any medium,”¹ “Halo 4” ushers in the return of the Master Chief and is poised to be the biggest entertainment premiere of the year to date, when it storms retail stores worldwide tomorrow, Tuesday, 6^th November.

Berlin’s Deep Circus Records was founded in October 2010 by Benny Grauer and is blurring the boundaries between deep and groovy house, tech house and techno. Anyone, who has been following Alex Flatner so far this year, will already be well aware of his collaborations with Lopazz and Martin Eyerer and his recent “Mixtape” label compilation album on his own Circle Music label.

Kaz James has established himself in 2012 as one of EDM's hottest new stars, ignited by his debut release 'Kids,' which gained instant support in the form of strong radio play from Pete Tong and Andi Durrant and was a favourite of DJs such as Tiesto, Kim Fai, SHM and David Guetta.

On October 18^th, dockside @ Undercurrent in Amsterdam - during the peak of ADE’s annual takeover - Solarstone showcased his new audio axiom, ‘Pure Trance’. After a top season for Pukka Up in Ibiza, the clubbing brand is preparing to head back to London to stage its annual Ibiza Reunion party tomorrow, Saturday 3^rd November at Pacha. A flotilla of boat parties on the River Thames will kick start the evening, heading up The Thames and back again to Tower Pier, where you can head off to the main event at Pacha, joining 1,000 like-minded revellers.

Kasabian are ready to set fire to the après-ski celebrations as they prepare to headline the Snowbombing festival on 1-6 April, 2013. Acclaimed as one of the best live acts on the planet, the band will be leaving behind the stadiums and arenas they’re accustomed to in favour of snow-capped mountain peaks. The Leicestershire lads will not only be appearing at the apex of the festival’s line up, but will also be scaling the hillsides to another summit as they perform a second and completely exclusive intimate show 6000 feet up on the powder-topped crest of a mountain.
