Having brought the sounds of Ibiza to Hop Farm this summer for a festival style day event, Circo Loco comes back to the UK on New Year’s Day and this time Circo Loco will be taking place in one of London's flagship music venues, Brixton Academy with a line-up of carefully selected Circo Loco legends. Out in force to carry you into the bright lights of 2013 will be Seth Troxler, the Michigan-born DJ, producer and label owner.

The Stone Roses recently announced three UK shows in June 2013. The group will play two nights in London’s Finsbury Park (June 7 and 8) and one show at Glasgow Green on June 15. The support for the Glasgow show is Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View, with London to be announced shortly. 

Whilst the music world accelerates faster by the day, Sankeys attempts to retain something of a cool, calm and collected attitude to such matters. With house music part of the club’s DNA and an integral part of dance music culture in general, the guys are throwing a bit of a do this weekend.

After taking Ibiza by storm this summer, Hot Creations are to bring their Ibiza party to London for a special Paradise event at Brixton’s O2 Academy on the 13th April 2013. The event will feature the live debut of Hot Natured, the collective of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Luca C and Ali Love. 

One of Italy’s most respected DJs, Stefano Noferini, turns his hand to the ‘Toolroom Knights’ series. Including three exclusive productions from Stefano himself, plus featuring unheard tracks and classic tunes alike from the kingpins of the tech scene such as UMEK, Christian Smith, Pirupa & Hollen, DJ PP, Boris Ross & Jeff Moore, Technasia and many more, ‘Toolroom Knights Mixed By Stefano Noferini’ is a great snapshot of the Italian master’s ability to build a mix brimming with driving energy.

Los Angeles based production duo FIXYN is releasing their remix of the indie track by Foxes called ‘Echo’. The Southampton based songstress, Foxes, recently provided vocals on the title track of Zedd’s LP ‘Clarity’ and is rapidly growing into a musical force. With possibly one of the most beautiful voices in indie music today, Foxes have place their vocals on a canvas for electronic producers to work into EDM. 

The annual Sneak's Birthday Beats event is back again for the 14^th time, bringing yet another top line up to Toronto, Canada. The 2012 installment sees Josh Wink joining the party, while Sneak goes back to back with Doc Martin for a an exclusive 4 deck 2 mixer set! Anyone who knows the long history these two have together are probably already getting excited, while younger house fans are in for a real treat as two of house music's pioneers lay down something very special. 

Northern England based Luna Records return this month with Dzeta N’ Basile’s ‘The Other’ EP, comprising three original cuts from the Italian-born, London-based producers. Dzeta N’ Basile have been making waves in the deep-house movement over the past few years with releases for imprints such as 1trax, Akbal, Tsuba, Moodmusic and Lower East, now they join the likes of DJ W!ld, Kevin Griffiths, Chris Lattner and So Inagawa on the Luna roster.



Las Vegas based imprint, Riff Raff return with the ‘Feeling Dry’ EP by Mexican producer Christian Orlo, backed with remixes from Jimmy Maheras, 23rd Dimension and production outfit Riff Raff. Since launching back in late 2010 the Riff Raff imprint has released a good collection of deep, soul- laden house and electronica, as well as pulling in house veteran Jay Tripwire on remix duties and putting out collaborative works between Deneha and vocalist Cari Golden. 

Hot off the back of their ‘The Living Dead’ EP earlier in the year, producer duo DC and Hooks – or Zeds Dead as their known to the masses – now return with a rework of what is one of the most iconic records in dance music; The Prodigy's 'Breathe'! Set for release on November 4^th on XL Recordings, the boys have recently released a two-minute teaser. 

T in the Park will celebrate its 20^th year across the weekend of 12^th-14^th July 2013 and with excitement already building for the 20^th year, festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager recently announced that fans will be able to get their hands on a limited batch of Christmas early-bird T in the Park tickets when they go on sale at 2012 prices at 9am on Friday 7^th December.

Building the foundations to a successful career in music, they’ve grown into respected DJs, producers and label-owners. With a passion for peak-time and a knack for the eclectic, the duo recently released the first volume of their brand new ‘WePlayLOUDER!’ series!

Kraak & Smaak are getting revved up for their fourthstudio album. At the start of the year their track ‘Let’s Go Back’ was featured in both Mixmag and DJ’s best of 2011 lists. Since then in 2012 they have had seven different records in the Beatport Chart, headlined UK festivals, had remixes released on Solomun’s DIYnamic label and Sander Kleinenberg’s This Is label. 

Rusko recently announced that he will release all his original music going forward for free. Beginning with the November 4 release of his ‘Kapow’ EP, all new Rusko music will be available for free download through Ruskoonfire.com/kapow. ‘Kapow’, which will also be available via iTunes on November 6, is a four-track workout that blends dubstep, rave anthems and hip hop.

Following last year’s EP release ‘DRM’, Visionquest’s own Ryan Crosson teams up with Cadenza’s Cesar Merveille for a full-length album that carries the label into as yet uncharted waters. Crosson and Merveille offer up nine pieces of music that will appeal to fans of Broadcast, Air, Kevin Shields, or Juana Molina as much as they will to any forward-thinking DJ trying to curate an appropriately reflective afterhours. 

With the explosion of dance music recently, many non-electronic record labels have been pursuing dance talent that crosses many musical boundaries and now Dutchmand Sander van Doorn has signed to Jay Z’s respected label, Roc Nation. ‘Nothing Inside’ is the first single signed to the label. 

Frankie Knuckles tells us exactly where he is at musically through new album ‘Tales From Beyond The Tone Arm’. Now a household name in music, Frankie Knuckles is the man who is famously credited as being the ‘Godfather of House Music’. It was at his Chicago nightclub in the late-70s - ‘The Warehouse’ - where he would take the ultimately danceable beats of disco and subtly evolve them into what we now know as house.

After a top season at Pacha Ibiza, the brand begins its tour around the world tonight, spreading the island’s party spirit! The tour will begin tonight when Pacha Ibiza resident DJ Sebastian Gamboa will play at Lan Club in Beijing, supported by Pacha Ibiza dancers, for the first of four Asian shows. Next up is Drangon-I club in Hong Kong on Saturday for a party that is sure to last well into the small hours due to the brand's huge popularity.

Danish DJ, Morten Breum, has released a preview of his new remix of Medina's single ‘Forever’. Morten refreshes Medina’s pop anthem, with a gritty progressive sound that will be available on Beatport October 30th via Ultra Records. 

Hardwell, who was recently named the #6 DJ in the world by DJ Mag Top 100, recently announced the winner of his ‘Spaceman’ competition as Collin McLoughlin. Also, he’s jut released an Electric Zoo aftermovie. Hardwell asked his fans to submit an acoustic version of his single, ‘Spaceman’, for the chance to have it featured in his Electric Zoo after-movie. 

The Warehouse Project recently revealed its New Year’s Eve line-up and seeing you into 2013 will be Radio 1's Annie Mac, James Zabiela, Simian Mobile Disco, Felix Da Housecat, Metronomy, Benoit & Sergio, Paul Woolford, Rudimental, The Toddla T Sound, Tensnake, Jaymo & Andy George and Bondax.

It’s now just a few days from the first ever USA edition of Sensation “Innerspace” – taking place October 26 & 27 at Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center. When tickets went on sale in May, they sold out for the October 27 show; with the October 26 show selling out soon thereafter. Now, for those who were unable to secure tickets – capacity has been raised at the Barclays Center enabling Sensation to place on sale a limited amount of tickets for both events. 

Seamless Traxx releases the new one from Lissat & Voltaxx. Lissat & Voltaxx - Jens Lissat & Marco Wolters - have been working together since 2006 and some say they’re arguably one of the biggest duos in big room, main room house. They have been producing quality tracks released on renowned house music labels including Toolroom, Great Stuff, Stealth, Spinnin and Ministry of Sound. 

Legowelt (aka Danny Wolfers) began producing music in the early-90s from his bedroom studio in Scheveningen Beach and now some 15 years later, he has played live all over the world and released an almost countless amount of music under all manner of names from Dickie Smabers & The Moerwijk Crew to Nacho Patrol, Franz Falckenhaus, Jackmaster Corky, Smackos, Danny Wolfers, The Chicago Shags (with Orgue Electronique) and many more.

Germany’s Gomma label looks to the release of the debut album from Portuguese disco aficionado Luis Clara Gomes AKA Moullinex. The Munich based Gomma label has been driving influence on electronica and nu-disco since its inception in the late-90s, part of this influence has been the imprint’s dedication to developing artists through album releases. LPs from the likes of Headman, Who Made Who, Munk & the KDMS have helped shaped its musical landscape and now Gomma looks to one of its existing artists, Moullinex, for its next long player.  

‘Under The Lights’ is a new sound for the South African DJ and producer, who is now based in Montpellier in the south of France. The sound is melodic and uplifting dance music with emotion, and the soulful vocals of Sydney James Harcourt who has performed on Broadway shows such as The Lion King and Green Day’s rock musical, American Idiot. 

Defected In The House brings Kings of Tomorrow’s Sandy Rivera and the man behind one of the Ibiza anthems of 2012, Pirupa, to London’s Ministry of Sound on November 10, supported by the cream of Defected’s house talent. Sandy Rivera has had a creative year with singles ‘Show Me’ and ‘Avenue’ asserting themselves in 2012 and there’s a wealth of new material coming up over the next few months. 

It’s just under 10 days from the start of “Sonar On Tour” – an eight-city tour of North America from Barcelona’s international and prestigious festival of advanced music and new media art. Commencing October 31; it will be the first time Sonar has undertaken a full tour anywhere in the world.  The festival’s New York debut will be on Friday, November 2 at Roseland Ballroom.  

Italian house music icon, Claudio Coccoluto returns to Fact London on November 16 for a rare appearance, with rising house star, Hot Since 82, also representing alongside the Italian duo, the Neverdogs. The London/Spanish/Italian family that is Leading Astray & P.I.M.P. bring their collectives to the terrace and Loft.

With less than three weeks until the launch of “Halo 4” on November 6, Microsoft and 343 Industries recently premiered "Scanned,” a cinematic live-action trailer produced by renowned Hollywood director David Fincher (“The Social Network”), and directed by acclaimed visual effects lead Tim Miller (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”).

Sankeys Ibiza owner David Vincent recently confirmed the club has re-opened for winter, kicking off last night Saturday, October 20. "I was just about to go home when so many islanders were saying how they wanted the club to open over the winter as they all love Sankeys. So I thought to myself do I go back to England and the rain, or stay and connect with the islanders further?” tells Vincent.

Toronto’s My Favorite Robot Records team up once again with Jonny Cruz for a new EP featuring remixes from Avatism & Jeremy P Caulfield and Fur Coat. Whether it be their foray into album releases with Jori Hulkkonen (to be followed by Fairmont), their string of singles this summer and their label showcase parties have done well in profiling the Canadian based label. Now the MFRR team look to join forces once again with Berlin based Puerto Rican producer Jonny Cruz, the man who provided the ‘Street Disco EP’ for the label last year.

Last night, at the DJ Mag Awards show in Amsterdam, Armin van Buuren was named as number one DJ in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll, the very first time in the history of the poll that a DJ has claimed back the number one position. The Dutch DJ, taking the lead in the popularity poll for an historic five times, also just announced the first dates and cities of his A State of Trance 600 world tour for next year. In April and March 2013, ASOT 600 shows will take place in cities such as Beirut, Kuala Lumpur and Den Bosch, with more cities to be announced soon. 

With the output high at Toolroom HQ, this Monday they release EDX’s latest banger, ‘Touched’, a huge euphoric creation that should easily reach anthem status. Discarding overblown and obvious identikit trends, EDX is skilled in crafting inspiring, enchanted audio. 

KJ Sawka has rocketed to international success over the course of the last five years, recently completing a two-year world tour as part of the platinum selling, award winning Pendulum. Now resting up back in his home city of Seattle USA, KJ has been re-visiting his studio to work on his solo production once more, which was in full flow well before he joined the biggest band in bass music. Now it’s time for his new track, ‘Repeating Cycles’. 

Snowbombing 2013 recently revealed its DJ line up for next April's event. The news sees original and groundbreaking legends of the scene mixing it with the most current stars in the business. Setting benchmarks for decades as a DJ, producer and iconic hero of dance culture, Carl Cox will be making his downhill debut in 2013, bringing his infectious party vibe to the powder-crisp peaks of Austria to show all and sundry that form is temporary, class is permanent.

Singer, songwriter, producer and remixer, Rae, teams up with Australian artist Queen Victoria to collaborate on her latest release, ‘Found My Place’, a track with big breaks, big riffs, and most importantly, a big bassline. Rae has also supplied a remix of the original, which adds to her blossoming production skills. 

Tonight at Village Underground in London, Mixmag Live welcomes Detroit's Carl Craig. After recently celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Planet E imprint, the producer, composer and DJ will be guest editing a selection of the magazine as well as performing the show. Hailed as a creative visionary ever since releasing his first track in 1989, under his own name and a variety of aliases (including 69, Paperclip People and Innerzone Orchestra), Carl Has been responsible for such classics tracks as 'Sandstorms', 'Throw' and 'Bug In A Bassbin'.

Frankfurt label Romancity looks to fresh production talent Paul Müller for their second release backed with a remix package from Jori Hulkkonen, Matt Walsh & Lauer. The Romancity label is in no rush to conquer the world, having formed in 2010, the label’s first release dropped in 2011 and now as we enter the autumn of 2012 we have single number two. The debut release from young producer Ric Janvier featured a remix from 20:20 vision’s Random Factor and made an instant impact. Now the Frankfurt based imprint is teaming up with another fresh young producer, Paul Müller, for a single that once again features a decent remix package.

Ninety3 Records this week released a fresh EP from Oliver Lang, with all of the artists on the EP bringing their own visions to the original, giving it a very varied and eclectic combination of tracks. It kicks off with Oliver’s Original Mix of the track, a formation of electrical hits, effects and subtle drops, a perfect base for the three remixes on the EP. The second track of the collection is a huge remix by Seb Fontaine & Alex Blanco, and shows you how much of a different direction these artists were inspired to go. Big drops and long and varied build-ups, using samples from various genres, make this a decent track to check.

Feenixpawl have fast made their mark on the electronic music scene having garnered international support from the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, Avicii, David Guetta and Kaskade, releasing a Number 1 single on Beatport, signing with Axtone, and producing remixes for some of the world’s biggest dance labels including Big Beat, Ultra and Neon Records. Now, the Australian duo has set their sites on the USA with the “In My Mind” tour – their first ever tour of the states.  

November sees the year ebbing away toward a season of festive merriment as Sankeys cranks up the pace even further. After its second season in Ibiza, all eyes revert back to Manchester as 2012 enters its final weekends. First up, the end of October sees a double header with Jaguar Skills and The Martinez Brothers playing all night up in Spektrum on Friday 26th, and then the quartet of Magda, Chez Damier, KiNK (live) and Ellen Allien on Saturday 27^th. Sat 3^rd November is a Halloween Strictly Classics Party, and the following weekend of 9^th and 10^th has special guests who will be announced shortly.

Castle Clvb is the new Edinburgh, Scotland space diversifying the city’s nocturnal offerings with acts like Jamie XX, Disclosure, Dusky and more already having played since opening in September. The three roomed club, formerly known as Berlin, is run by a 22-year old with a track record in promotion (thanks to his We Own night) with partner and nightclub designer, Grum Anderson. Having been three different clubs in the last three years, it’s aiming to educate, edify, amaze and uplift the Edinburgh scene. As such, it’s been fitted out with a Funktion One sound system and sensory tingling LED light panel.

Alison Limerick has recently been added to SSW2, the new Scottish Weekender event taking place Friday November 2 - Sunday November 4 at the Cairndale Hotel in Dumfries, an event stepping into the late autumn gap caused by Southport only holding one annual weekender in May. International headline DJs Tony Humphries (USA), Paul 'Trouble' Anderson, Prins Thomas, Motor City Drum Ensemble and many more are flying in for this exclusive date and it is the brainchild of original DJ Mag contributor and music lover, DJ Yogi Haughton.

Toolroom Knights is hitting ADE, this Friday 19^th October. Gracing the decks at Amsterdam's Panama Nightclub will be Mark Knight, Tocadisco, Stefano Noferini, Manuel De La Mare, Federico Scavo, Mihalis Safras and Toolroom Records' Mark Storie, Pete Griffiths and George Andrews. Bolstering Toolroom's connection with Amsterdam's annual Dance Event, Toolroom TV caught up with Dutch superstar Hardwell to talk about the pivotal role the city plays, ahead of Toolroom's third annual Amsterdam compilation - 'Toolroom Records Amsterdam 2012'. 

German electronic musician Paul Kalkbrenner will release 'Guten Tag', his eighth album on November 30. One of Germany's national treasures, Paul's 'Icke Wieder' 2011 album concert tour sold over 125,000 tickets and 'Icke Weider' achieved Gold Status in Germany. Some of you may have first encountered Paul Kalkbrenner in the hit movie ‘Berlin Calling’ in which he played the lead character, an electronic music artist, a role he knows well. The movie received a full theatrical international release.

Spearheaded by Steve Angello, Size Records has joined forces to play some of their biggest shows yet from Ushuaia in Ibiza to Central Park, NY. Meanwhile on record the label’s strike rate has continued with AN21 & Max Vangeli’s debut album ‘People Of The Night’ as well as Eddie Thoneick and Norman Doray’s track ‘Celsius’. Coming hot on the heels of Angello’s ‘Yeah’, the Size clan leader is joining forces with his label protégés Third Party on ‘Lights’. 

Tiësto recently announced the launch of his very own headphone range in conjunction with leading audio design manufacturer AKG. Worn by him during his performances and in the studio, these headphones provide users with a sound tailored for the global electronic dance music phenomenon. Tiësto’s headphone range will consist of three unique models – each designed specifically for the electronic dance music lover.

Ultra Music Festival has now confirmed it will hold the 15^thedition of its event over two three-day weekends March 15, 16 & 17 and March 22, 23 and 24, 2013. This marks the first time ever for a major electronic dance music (EDM) festival to do so anywhere. Having teased the world with a countdown clock on its YouTube channel just days ago, Ultra Music Festival today revealed the news right at the end of an exclusive video on UMF TV, entitled “Relive The Ultra 2012 Experience.”   

Vitalic will be releasing the first single taken from his new album, ‘Rave Age’ via Different Recordings. Entitled ‘Stamina’, it will feature artwork by artist, Storm Thorgerson and remixes from Club Cheval and Le Castle Vania. First released back in 1991, ‘The Whistle Song’ is now firmly cemented in house music history. It is rumored that Frankie Knuckles originally played it on a reel-to-reel tape machine at the original Sound Factory, until it was so hot he had to press it to vinyl. The rest, as they say, is history. After becoming a number one smash on release 22 years ago, it remains one of the genre’s most seminal works to this day.

The Squatters and clubbers clothing label ‘Dirty Smart’ have combined skill sets to release ‘Brainfreeze’, to be released by record label ‘What’s Your Status’ across all the usual download stores. It’s also the name of a t-shirt design by Dirty Smart which will be dropping nationwide in BANK at the end of October.

Since the beginning of DJ culture, Sting’s distinctive vocals have been used in samples by many producers and new bootleg versions of his songs still surface regularly. An official dance music release baring the 16-time Grammy Award winner's name is rare, but last year, however, The Scumfrog received the green light to create a new version using the original vocals from ‘If I Ever Lose My Faith In You’, and the result has just been released on Dutch record label Armada Music.

Having recently launched its first global music event series “Stripes Sessions” in June, adidas Originals has been showcasing some of the most popular electronic music acts at select Originals stores around the world.

Tickets for the 15^th Anniversary Edition of Ultra Music Festival Miami will officially go on sale to the general public on Wednesday October 17, 2012! A teasing countdown video – which is now LIVE on the Ultra Music Festival YouTube page (youtube.com/umftv) – confirms the US festival giant has something else to share with its fans. 

Active since 2005 and with a score of singles and EPs on his discography, Distant Fragment has steadily been working towards a carefully produced artist album as the next logical step in his career. The first demos of the release caught the attention of Black Hole Recordings, which now releases Distant Fragment’s debut album entitled ‘Passage To Wonders’.  

Following his fabric mix CD this summer, and his first single for his own Supplement Facts in two years, ‘Steady’, Guy Gerber will tour America this November, playing seven shows, kicking off in New York on November 21 at Verboten. Coinciding with the ‘Steady’ release, Gerber is unveiling a new artistic partnership between his Supplement Facts label and photographer Martin Zalba Ibáñez. 

After a four-year hiatus, Sharam recently announced that he’s relaunching Yoshitoshi Records’ sub-label Shinichi and launching a brand new label dubbed Dirt Jugglerz. Each label will be a platform for releasing sounds from all over the musical map with new releases including Ahmet Sendil ‘El Baile’ (Shinichi) and Heren 'Never Let Me Go’ / Heren Pres. Detsl & Pete Milz ‘I Got Angels’ (Beat Jugglerz) on the horizon. 

Sander van Doorn recently announced his headlining performance at Escape Club for the opening of ADE, along with teaching a production master class and finishing with an appearance at Xbox's Halo 4 "Meet & Beat" event. Sander’s a dominate force in music, having just been tapped for the Halo 4 remix album and his global touring schedule is proof of his universal many hits and anthems to his credit, he continues to grow his career and fan-base.  

Cream’s recently announced the line-up for this year’s Boxing Night Special. First up is Laidback Luke, who will be jetting in especially for the occasion, following an successful season as exclusive resident for Cream in Ibiza. Joining Luke in the Main Room is fellow Dutchman Nicky Romero, whose meteoric rise to international fame has flourished over the last few years following a series of successful productions, which has brought him to the attention and into the studio with some of the world’s most sought after electronic acts, including David Guetta, Avicii, Madonna and Usher.   

Next Thursday 18 October Pete Tong will take his ‘All Gone’ concept to the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) at Air. He’ll be joined by the cream of today’s electronic music talent with a line-up including Crosstown Records’ boss Damian Lazarus, back to back sets from Visionquest’s Shaun Reeves with Ryan Crosson, and Eats Everything with Justin Martin, and a debut ADE performance from Canadian sensations BLOND:ISH. AIR’s weekly concept, CookieClub, will host AIR2 with Waifs & Strays and residents Prunk, Tettero and Rubix.

Microsoft, Playground Games, and Turn 10 Studios recently announced that the demo for “Forza Horizon” is now available for download. Gamers can experience the thrill of action racing on the open roads of Colorado in this wide-ranging demo, designed to give players a taste of the action in store when it’s unleashed to retail on 26^th October. 

The Dutch sound of the 21^stcentury has possibly revolutionised the world of EDM. ‘Dutch Influence’ is the feature length documentary that tells the tale of the producers and DJs behind the sound once locked away in Holland, now arguably changing the global face of music. The movie is set to premiere at this year’s ADE on Wednesday October 17^.

As the countdown to Paul Mac’s forthcoming album, to be released on EPM Music at the end of October, continues, 'Drums & Breaks' presents another slice of the action. For the follow up to Paul's 'Hotel Insomnia EP', which received rave reviews from some of the world's techno DJ elite and featured a remix from Marcel Fengler, the ‘Drums & Breaks EP’ by comparison provides a different side to Mac’s vision.

Despite Smoove’s huge international success with Smoove & Turrell and his ability to craft jazz, soul, Latin, hip hop and funk into solid dancefloor tracks, he can still be found every weekend he’s not playing live jumping on a plane or a train to go and DJ across Europe. He’s always creating new tunes for his set on the fly and working his different influences into the remixes and productions he is currently on. 

Breaking out in London is Enfant, an electronic music duo consisting of twin brothers Ali and Robin Owen. Gaining a reputation for their frenetic live shows, this year has seen them playing underground parties in Peckham to headlining club nights in London's East End. 

Strictly Rhythm has teamed up with the new Swedish DJ/producer duo CAZZETTE to release their debut compilation ‘Strictly CAZZETTE’, an 18 track DJ mix packed with their high energy brand of dub-house, a sub-genre that fuses 4/4 beats, house music’s highs and the stabbing basslines of dubstep. Released October 29 in mixed and unmixed formats, ‘Strictly CAZZETTE’ travels from underground club cuts to commercial flourishes.

Finnish trance duo Super8 & Tab have taken Armin van Buuren's summer track, 'I'll Listen', featuring Ana Criado and delivered a track that keeps the season's warmth alive on the dance floor. Originally released on September 17, 'I'll Listen' was the follow-up to Armin and Ana's 'Suddenly Summer,' which inserted nostalgic memories into the minds of partygoers at festivals and clubs around the world. 

Following the release of her debut album, ‘Burn The Sky Down’, Emma Hewitt presents the ‘Starting Fires’ EP, an exclusive pack of live acoustic takes and video sessions, including previously unreleased demos of songs you’ve never heard before. Through her originals and productions, she has built a solid reputation, giving soul to the music by the likes of Dash Berlin, Cosmic Gate and Chris Lake. 

Lessizmore continue their globetrotting revelry with a diverse selection of songs from some of their nearest and dearest regulars. Dance floor shenanigans abound with contributions from Tolga Fidan and DeWalta encapsulating the shuffling psychedelic house experiments which figure so highly at Lessizmore events. French pranksters DOP turn in a slice of classic American road story set to a narcotic conga jam.

Kramnik will return soon with the release of his first full-length album, ‘Dark Matters’. Progressive techno is the spinal cord of ‘Dark Matters’, with each track a journey through an atmospheric soundscape. It’s an intensely cerebral work, possibly music for the true connoisseur. The album comes with a hefty remix package based around the album’s tracks, ‘Viclone’, ‘M1’ and ‘Mongolium’. 

Paul van Dyk will be bringing the music from his sixth artist album, ‘Evolution’, to the heart of Amsterdam’s cultural centre on the Wednesday of ADE week, where he’ll be performing the album’s music live. Fans will be able to hear ‘Eternity’, ‘The Ocean’, ‘Verano’, ‘I Don’t Deserve You’ and all the other album favourites, mixed, morphed, filtered, fused and thrust through Melkweg’s sound system.

Berlin’s Santé drops one of his most beguiling records to date on Defected complete with a remix from Souvenir Music favourite Rampa. Over the last few years, Berlin’s Santé has emerged as part of a wave of new producers and his productions ooze character, charisma, soul, colour, humour and a sense of humanity that feels so devoid from the less inspiring corners of house music.

‘Noxxebots Carnage’ is the latest release from electro artist and designer, Janski Beeeats. The Paris based manga and ‘80s video game fan (Jansé to his mum) has been quietly amassing a serious following for his 8-Bit releases, bringing him to the attention of French alt house label, Police Records. The music is a mixture of old school chip tunes, synthesized melodies and frenetic beats.

On October 27^th CNL Events present a London first – a Supplement Facts label showcase headed by the boss Guy Gerber, with French house trio dOP and many more yet to be announced. Guy Gerber’s Supplement Facts seems to have had something of a renaissance recently. In the early days defined by Gerber’s own prog-tech-house aesthetic, an influx of new names like Ryan Crosson, Guti, Lee Curtiss and dOP have recently re-aligned it with a deeper, more organic template. 

Production duo Jack Fell Down return with a new EP on Southern Fried Records featuring four tracks of deep house music. Jack Fell Down burst on to the UK music scene earlier this year, with their debut EP dropping on Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried imprint. Hype had been building around this anonymous Irish duo for sometime thanks to a limited 12” bootleg that did the rounds and a number of free downloads that were made available to whet the musical appetite. 

Microsoft and 343 Industries recently announced the series premiere of the live-action series, “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn,” on Machinima’s new premium channel, Machinima Prime, and Halo Waypoint. The digital series will lead up to the launch of the “Halo 4” video game, one of the biggest entertainment events of the year.

Last year saw Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano made their debut at Passenger Terminal, Amsterdam during the world's biggest dance music gathering, ADE. This year, on Saturday October 20, the Dutch DJ duo returns to the scene of the crime with supporting DJ sets by Jaz von D and Randy Vicious. Promoter, ALDA Events, are already pushing a much bigger and heavier show, while the boys themselves are apparently itching to showcase their new sounds to the ADE crowd. 

Fresh off the back of his recent stints in America and Australia, Dutch DJ/producer Sidney Samson returns on Spinnin’ Records with his new track ‘Better Than Yesterday’, featuring Black Eyed Peas main man, Will.I.Am.

Joyce Muniz is a Vienna-based, Brazilian DJ, vocalist and producer who was introduced to 2020Vision by Maya Jane Coles. Joyce is currently one of the leaders of a new style which fuses European club sounds with rhythmic influences from South America and the Caribbean. She has collaborated with Stereotyp, Louie Austen and Munk, and her solo outings for Exploited have been well received.

Critical welcome back three talents from the world of D&B; long time scene veteran Sabre and songstress Riya alongside Critical label resident, Foreign Concept. Sabre makes a timely return since ‘Oblique’ hit the shelves at the start of the year and this time draws in the vocal dexterity of Riya, who sparkles over ‘Injustice’, a journey deep into the mind of the studio technician.

Label boss Steve Angello makes his solo return to Size Records with the recent release of ‘Yeah’. Having been a firm favourite with fans, both in its earlier incarnations and in its re-invigorated 2012 update, ‘Yeah’ has become a huge track for Angello. Steve also revealed that 50 cents from each sale of the record will go to his SIZE Foundation. Steve has multiple roles as a producer, remixer, DJ, label boss for Size Records, head of the Size Matters event brand and is one third of Swedish House Mafia. 

Toolroom Records’ latest release expands the range of styles the imprint continues to push as ‘Do You Want Me Baby’ is brought back to life with an eclectic set of remixes. Alongside Victor Simonelli’s original Cloud 9 piece, it’s sounding as good today as it did back then. London-based duo Dusky are first to deliver a remix. 

Space Ibiza has the key to close this summer season in Ibiza and Miami’s Ultra Music Festival will again be in charge of the Outdoor Car Park Area for this weekend’s Closing Party, hosting the Ultra Ibiza Stage for the occasion. Space Ibiza and Ultra, who also hosts massive festivals in the USA, South Korea, Brazil, Argentina and Chile have prepared for October 7th a pretty heavy line-up. 

Nicky Romero recently announced that he will be releasing a remix package for his single ‘Iron’. The remix package, which features remixes from Dyro and Tony Romera, will be released on October 8 via Protocol Recordings. The first remix comes from Dyro, a fast-rising talent, and the second from France's rising star Tony Romera.

Benoit & Sergio are back this fall/autumn with a new EP due out October 15 on Visionquest titled ‘New Ships’, backed by a tour commencing next week in Montreal that will hit cities all over North America until mid-November. With their new release comes a brand new set from the duo. The pair has put ‘Walk & Talk’ and ‘Principles’ to rest for the moment, focusing their performance on new sounds, influences, and emotions – many of which can be found in the forthcoming release.

‘All Or Nothing’ is the follow up to Calyx & TeeBee’s debut album ‘Anatomy’ set to be released on one of the bass music scene’s longest running labels, Ram Records. The duo’s first single from their new album has already been supported by Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Trevor Nelson and many more and looks set to catapult them to new heights. ‘Anatomy’ saw the duo unleash a wall of sound as they took to the road with their six-deck DJ sets in nightclubs and festival tents.  

More than 20 years after he found his passion, Torsten Stenzel aka York, still has the same stamina for music. The man behind classics such as ‘The Awakening’, ‘On The Beach’ and ‘Addicted’ now presents ‘Islanders’, the brand new York album that shows he still knows how to walk in today’s musical landscape. York was one of the first names to adopt the trance sound. In the early-90s, he worked on projects such as Taucher, DJ Sakin & Friends and Suspicious, selling over three million records and earning 10 Gold and Platinum Awards with his sales.

American dance music legend DJ Dan is back to unleash his bag of disco, house and techno tricks on a whole new generation of dance music fans. October 22^nd sees the release of DJ Dan’s brand new artist album, ‘Disko-Funk Odyssey’ and one of his trademarks is his ability to blend disco, house and techno into a mix where he creates his own genre of music. 

On October 8, Musical Freedom will release Tiësto & Allure's brand new single ‘Pair Of Dice’. This collaboration between one of the world's biggest DJs and his young protégé is currently a mainstay in sets of some of the most influential club DJs around the world and the teaser video has received over 150,00 YouTube views in its first weekend alone.

Following on from one of the most unlikely underground peaks to date (‘I Was Drunk’ featuring Noze, now with over 12 million combined hits on Youtube), Riva Starr goes back in time to offer his latest release. In true Riva style, OPA! fuses the old with the new, eastern vibes with the western bleeps to produce an uplifting big room cut. 

John Martin wrote and performed the current Swedish House Mafia single, ‘Don’t You Worry Child’, which was debuted live by Swedish House Mafia at their farewell show to the UK at Milton Keynes Bowl on July 14. It has since achieved almost six million plays on YouTube. He also wrote the huge Swedish House Mafia track, ‘Save The World’.

Following last year’s success, the European Festival Awards will return to the Oosterport Congress Centre, Groningen, Holland for its fourth edition, crowning the opening night of the Eurosonic Noorderslag conference and festival on Wednesday 9 January 2013. Snowbombing 2013 is once again inviting guests to take to the road in a journey across Europe – final destination Mayrhofen, Austria - forming just one small part of the Snowbombing festival experience. The theme this year is Circus and will see over 150 cars of ringmasters, bearded ladies and strongmen snake their way through hundreds of miles of stunning European scenery to arrive at the festival.

Following on from the likes of ‘Backstreet Brit Funk’, ‘Destination Boogie’ and the Soul of Disco series, Z Records continue to release compilations filled with lesser known disco, funk and boogie. After ‘Under The Influence Vol.1’ compiled by Red Greg ZR returns with Vol.2 this time compiled by Paul Phillips. Paul Phillips first got into soul music in the late-1970s with the discovery of radio shows such as Greg Edwards and Mike Allen (Capital Radio), Robbie Vincent (Radio London) and the original soul pirate Radio Invicta.
