French DJ and producer, Sébastien, owns and manages his own record label, Mistakes Music, and makes house, minimal and electro of the sort that impressed Radio 1 so much they asked him to do an Essential Mix back in 2008. 

Audiojack’s, Gruuv imprint returns with ‘Hugonomics’ by Italian producer Hugo, backed with remixes from the label-heads and Copy Paste Soul. Turin born, Hugo, has built a solid reputation over the years for his infectious house and techno grooves, delivering across the board, high quality music and working with many of the leading labels in the industry such as 2020 Vision, Claque Musique, Mobilee, Kling Klong and Suara.

Guy Gerber's Wisdom of the Glove night at Pacha Ibiza has been highly anticipated this season, with the Israeli native’s debut season the cause for much excitement and tongue wagging on the White Isle. The action kicked off properly last Wednesday, and as has become Gerber's forte over the years, it didn't disappoint, with a raft of carefully chosen artists laying down some great music.

‘Disconnect/Reconnect’ is the third studio album from The Japanese Popstars, and the first new music since 2012’s ‘Matter Of Time’ (featuring Green Velvet), caught the ears of Laurent Garnier, Francois K, Carl Cox and John Digweed, who promptly signed TJP to his Bedrock label.

Hypercolour recently unveiled its weekly line-ups happening every Monday at Sankeys Ibiza across 13 weeks this summer. Crowned 'Label of the Year' by DJ Mag in their best of British Awards, the label will be bringing imprint mainstays such as Huxley, Mosca, Axel Boman, Glimpse, George Fitzgerald, Maxxi Soundsystem and label founder Alex Jones and Jamie Russell (Cedric Maison), among others, to put Sankeys Void sound system through its paces.

Martin Solveig returns to the spotlight following the massive ‘Hello’, which has over 1.2 million copies sold in the US to date. ‘Hey Now’, just released on Big Beat Records, is the first of several collaborations Solveig has lined up for 2013, as he takes a more experimental approach to making music. 

The Riff Raff imprint returns with ‘Strange Days’ by J Diesel, featuring a remix from My Favorite Robot artist Silky. Las Vegas based, J Diesel, was initially musically versed in the underground hip-hop movement during the late-90s, it wasn’t until 2008 when J experienced electronic music and rave culture, but fell instantly in love and began shaping his broad spectrum of sounds in the form of house, techno and tech-house, soon finding his music released on the likes of Kling Klong, Nervous and Definitive.

Fuse London continues its ‘Fusic’ series with ‘Vol.3’, featuring four cuts from residents and associates, Enzo Siragusa & Seb Zito, Rich NxT, Dan Lively and Ittetsu. The Fuse London imprint, born out of the identically named events, is now nine releases deep, the label showcases the infectious, stripped and intriguing sound the brand represents and has picked up support along the way from a wide array of artists. 

The DJ Sessions is a platform where DJs swing by to drop a DJ set video streamed live to a global audience. Each Wednesday at 6pm PST, viewers can tune in for a five-hour live show. Interviews, dancers and an engaging fan base are also part of the show. The new website www.thedjsessions.com is the central place where people can tune in, watch and leave feedback in the chatroom.

Having been bought up on sci-fi and graphic novels such as Bladerunner, Watchmen and The Dark Knight, these influences have steeped, festered and manifested in Tristan’s everyday life. From his own unique style right through to his musical outputs, there seems to be a hint of chaotic darkness in his persona.

With less than 100 days to go until Creamfields, the festival has just recently added the Cream Friends Stage across Saturday and Sunday filled with some of the hottest rising talent from across the UK. Circo Loco is back in Birmingham in 2013 and returning to the Arena space. Episode 7 of Toolroom was recently launched and the label takes you back to the sunshine of Miami for Miami Music Week, where they spend a day with Cedric Gervais, getting the lowdown on the best spots in the city to eat, keep fit and party. It also checks out the Ultra Music Festival, where they hosted their very own Toolroom Knights stage for both weekends, and gets an insight into the development of the dance music scene from Funkagenda, Butch and Mihalis Safras.

Scram Jones is a Grammy-nominated producer who has worked with the likes of Mariah Carey, Fat Joe, Lloyd Banks, Dipset, Raekwon, The Clipse and many more. 

As one half of legendary Queens duo Mobb Deep, Havoc has crafted countless hip hop tracks, from ‘Shook Ones Pt. II’ to ‘Drop A Gem On Em’ to ‘Quiet Storm’ and many more. Pacha London is aiming to return to the forefront of London club culture with a stylish and innovative new look, after an extensive venue refurb, a rebuffed music policy and the launch of a new and exclusive third room.

One of Ibiza’s biggest clubs, Eden, has just undergone a complete renovation and refurbishment. Now under new ownership, Dutch entrepreneur Michael van de Kuit, decided to redesign the space to give clubbers a venue where the focus is purely ‘All About The Music’. The news about the club being taken over by a new owner has not gone unnoticed within the international club scene.

Central Scotland in the UK seems to be in love with house music all-dayers, with various bars and brands running their owe regular parties, many of them having built up a loyal following over the years. One of the most popular, taking place every Bank Holiday and a few other selected dates throughout the year, is We Love Fundays at Mini Bar in Glasgow city centre.

Hardwell recently released his collaboration with Dyro, ‘Never Say Goodbye’ featuring Bright Lights, on his own imprint Revealed Recordings. As the official soundtrack to Hardwell’s Miami after-movie, ‘Never Say Goodbye’ has already been a favourite during his set at Ultra Music Festival.

From new tracks to high-profile residencies at some of the world’s greatest clubs, a new generation of Italian artists have established good reputations and Defected’s release schedule has lately been home to some of the best tracks to emerge globally from Italy.

London’s Apparel Music returns with a very special limited edition vinyl release featuring music from Ivan Tetlepta & Roger Gerressen and Emerson Todd. The Apparel Music label has its roots embedded in the creative and avante garde end of electronic music, from its unique packaging, to its leftfield jazz orientated house, techno and electronica.

Dutch DJ/production duo, W&W’s latest track ‘Thunder’, out now on Mainstage Music, entered last week’s DMC Buzzchart at #1 and the hype for the track keeps on growing. Their track, ‘The Code’ is one of 2013’s most popular having entered the DMC Buzz Chart at #1 and spending over two weeks at #1 on the Beatport Main Chart. 

1trax continues its numerically themed mix series with ‘Four’ mixed by Hector following contributions from Subb-An, Matt Tolfrey and most recently, Huxley. As with previous instalments, the DJ behind it is one of the house music scene’s new breed of tastemaker. An alumnus of London’s Phonica Records store, Hector has become a touring DJ in recent years while also building as a producer for the likes of Desolat and Siesta. 

Sebastian Markiewicz returns to his Compatible Music imprint this May with ‘Seismic Body’, featuring a remix from French producer Ron Costa. Hailing from the coast of Poland, now based in Manchester in the UK, since the move Sebastian has studied electronic music and sound engineering, honing in on the craft and learning the fundamentals, which led to the deep and hypnotic style he’s now formed. 

Taking place July 10-13 and situated on the beach Zrće on the Island Of Pag, the Fresh Island festival aims to offer hip hop fans, festival goers and sun-worshipers something out of the ordinary - intimate surroundings where they can see the hottest names in hip hop perform for them, amidst the stunning Adriatic coastline of Zrce beach, with bar prices a lot less than many of its European counterparts.

Abel Ramos teams up with DJ/producer Joan Reyes for a remix of ‘Balance’, released on Paradise Records, a DJ Center Music Group label. Born in February 1973 and raised in Madrid, Abel started DJing at a local club, aged just 15, playing anything that was synth-driven from Human League to Nitzer Ebb or acid house. 

Massive Enterprises and Kalm Kaoz recently announced plans to form a strategic partnership with One World Media Group to bring electronic dance music to the Asian market via Internet Radio. Under this agreement, Massive Enterprises’ record label, Massive Decks Recordings and its producer/DJ electro band, Kalm Kaoz, will work with One World Media to deliver original content via an online portal managed by PPTV.

The ‘Trance 100-2013’ series continues its musical journey through 2013, adding to the music collection for all trance fans. With the album containing what Armada feels are 100 of the most essential trance tunes of the season, the four CDs are full of big names and rising talents. ‘Trance 100-2013, Vol.2’ is a good way to keep track of the ever-growing trance movement.

Southport Weekender Festival get set to release their next installment of their compilation series. ‘Southport Weekender Volume 10’ sees DJ/producer, Miguel Migs, make a return to the series, alongside one of the UK’s brightest stars of the dance community, Atjazz. Over two CDs, the album features 38 tracks spanning deep house, Afroentric delights, soul, jazz, nu disco and boogie.

Bomba Ibiza recently announced that the opening date of the club has been moved to a later date, to be announced soon. The weekly line-up will include artists and labels Vagabundos, Defected, Erick Morillo and some surprises yet to be announced.

At the end of the last decade former Nu-Nrg-ist Giuseppe Ottaviani released his freshman solo album ‘GO!’ A full four-years in the perfecting, Ottaviani’s follow-up. ‘Magenta’ is here, with team-ups with fellow tranceologists Ferry Corsten and Aly & Fila, and supported by vocalists including Eric Lumiere, Audrey Gallagher, Linnea Schössow, Lo-Fi Sugar and Seri.

Proceedings are at last ready to get underway on the White Isle with Pacha set to launch its first parties next week. The clubbing landscape has changed again this year, possibly more so than many of those previously. It’s all new for Pacha as next week it opens its doors for head honchos Solomun, Guy Gerber, John Digweed and Fritz Kalkbrenner as they kick off their respective club nights.

Following its inaugural double-weekend event just two months ago Ultra Music Festival recently revealed the official ticketing details for its 2014 March festival. With the 16^th edition set to take place once again In Miami from March 28-30, it’s been revealed that tickets for 2014 will go on sale on Tuesday, May 21^st 2013 at 1pm EST.

The last few months have seen D Edge celebrating their 13^th birthday at a series of parties with the likes of Sven Vath, Adana Twins, Christian Burkhardt, Lee Foss, Wolf & Lamb and more, but this seems to have just been a taster, getting you ready for their final birthday date on May 25.

Located at a stone's throw from Amsterdam, right on the famous Dutch coastline town of Bloemendaal, you'll find Holland's Fuel Beachclub. Known for its ruling Sunday beach parties and home of big events like Grotesque, Fuel has collaborated with Black Hole Recordings to introduce a new mix compilation series.  

The first Saturday of July will mark LWE’s 3^rd birthday and to celebrate three years they’re gathering some of their favourite artists for the party. Headlining the main room will be Azari & III, bringing their floaty fusion of tripped out sounds and catchy melodies. They’re followed by Mirko Loko and his blend of Detroit influenced techno and the minimal side of jacking house. 

Felix Da Housecat returns with another bizarre musical tale from the seedy underbelly of clubworld. As is frequently the case with his quirky concoctions, this curiously named track has got a bit of a story behind it. FDC met singer Romina Cohn in a club late one night, after having heard her track 'I Just Want To Be The Residents'. As it turned out, Felix misheard the song’s refrain, and told the singer “I loved ‘I Just Want To Be A Lesbian!’”

Seven Lions recently announced his first headlining Los Angeles gig at the historic Avalon Hollywood this Friday May 17 with Flinch, Candyland, and DJ Precept. As a producer of the new generation, Seven Lions continues to thrive in an increasingly competitive industry by deviating from the status quo with his authentic artistic motivations. In addition to his landmark Los Angeles gig, he will be playing at festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival New York, Global Dance Festival, and Camp Bisco. 

The International Music Summit (IMS) recently announced that this year’s IMS Anthem will be created by Nile Rodgers. A keynote speaker in 2012, Nile returns this year to lend his talents to the IMS anthem. The Chic bass guitarist, who is famed for his unique basslines and songwriting skills, is the perfect candidate to record the track – not only because of his history, but also due to his recent involvement with electronic music, most notably the new Daft Punk album, ‘Random Access Memories’, which he exclusively told the IMS about at his keynote speech last year. The first single ‘Get Lucky’ has been no.1 in the UK charts for the past three weeks.

Cocoon Ibiza recently revealed its summer line-up. Deeply rooted in the party island's happenings, the Frankfurt based gang around Sven Väth aims to pull out all the stops to bring you a season unlike any other before. Cocoon at Amnesia - as simple as this motto may sound, the fusion of Sven Väth's vision and the consistent evolution thereof, will turn over a new leaf on Ibiza. The organically grown experience will be celebrated in an optimised fashion for 17 nights, from Monday June 10 through to September 30.

‘John Digweed Live in Slovenia’ comes from a peak time set recorded on March 30 at the Ambasada Gavioli in Izola. The third installment, with previous sessions coming from Cordoba, Argentina and London, UK, sees John condensing the essence of his club set into a double live mix CD. 

With his seminal debut single ‘The Trumpeter (La Musica)’ in 2011, Ray Foxx helped reinvigorate house music. Now the Foxx is back with a little help from London based singer and songwriter Rachel K Collier who provides the vocals for the new single ‘Boom Boom (Heartbeat)’, a sensual and enticing piano driven and funk infused house track.

Ferry Corsten recently revealed the first details of his third extended Countdown, where on June 2, he moves the action to Europe to supply another 8-hour Corsten’s Countdown transmission. Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ will be hosting the event, which will beam out around the world from their Dublin-based studios.

Cedric Gervais has teamed up with Howard Jones to create a brand new dance floor version of Howard’s track ‘Things Can Only Get Better’. Set for release in North America this spring/summer on Robbins, Cedric and Howard have gone all in creating a video that celebrates the ‘80s and one dude living in Miami during the days of Crockett & Tubbs. 

Absolutely gutted to hear the recent news that Peter Rauhofer had died. As a big fan of his productions, Peter used to freely release some absolute gems… underground tracks and dynamite remixes of huge artists that crossed the thin line between commercial and downright slammin’. Particularly in the UK, where commercial clubbing seemed to be on a pop/urban overload, Peter would release mixes of Rihanna and Madonna that made them cool to play. He was that good.

Nicky Romero's label, Protocol Recordings, has just released John Dahlback's new single, ‘Nuke’. Currently on his North American tour stopping at venues such as Liv Miami, Pacha New York, and XS Las Vegas, Dahlback remains at the top of his game as he has been churning out top live performances and quality tracks. 

The UK's Special Features recently released his remix of Ellie Goulding's ‘Only You’. Coming off of releasing his first solo original single, ‘Illusions’, on Big Beat Records, he maintains his good form with another decent remix. Special Features tastefully merges Ellie’s vocals with his progressive house style for an emotional sound. 

Celebrating ten years of Toolroom Records, the label releases two remixes from Digitalism, taking their trademark sound to two successful bands, Bloc Party and The Rapture. Poised to assault the US on their upcoming tour, Digitalism continue to make great music. The recent rerelease of ‘Zdarlight’ on Toolroom received huge support worldwide, twice charting in the Beatport top 10 and crossing genres with its eclectic remixes. 

On May 13 Garuda Music is releasing a two-mix compilation ‘The Sound of Garuda: Chapter 3’, mixed by Ben Gold, featuring 30 tracks, 13 exclusive to the album. Fresh off their sell out world tour as two thirds of Swedish House Mafia, and with a No.1 single and album under their belt, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso have now confirmed they will be coming together to bring a new concept, DEP/\RT\/RES, to Ushuaia in Ibiza this summer.

Paul van Dyk recently revealed the first details of the second coming of We Are One, his Berlin-based festival. On July 6 the Renaissance-era surroundings of the city’s famed Zitadelle Spandau will swell to the sound of the very best in new, cutting-edge electronic music. Joined by a star-studded EDM co-producer cast, Van Dyk will re-purpose Spandau as a citadel of sound. Inside its 15^th century confines he will premiere the music from his forthcoming ‘Politics of Dancing 3’ album. 

Boris’ double techno album ‘Believe In Me’ is out May 6 on Nervous Records. Disc one is comprised entirely of Boris original productions and remixes and disc two is crafted around Boris’ “Believe” DJ sets that have been a staple of the NYC club scene for over a decade. To celebrate its launch there will be an album release party at Pacha NYC tomorrow night. 

Renowned UK producer and record label owner Lange will be unveiling new tracks from his upcoming album ‘We Are Lucky People’ over the next several months leading up to its autumn release. His third studio album, Lange set the tone with the effervescent lead single, ‘Our Brief Time In The Sun’, which was released in early April.

FACT Bcn have a history of throwing pretty decent parties during festivals such as Sonar in Barcelona and this summer they will do so once more during the OFF Week Barcelona, with a series of four pool parties featuring artists from the worlds of house and techno.

Apollonia - Parisian trio, Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky - mix the next instalment of the fabric compilation series: ‘fabric 70’. Apollonia have cultivated a creative synergy that sees them connect and work as one artist as they weave through house and techno - three different minds, bodies and souls intuitively working together and focusing on their shared musical passion.
