GRAMMY Award-winning Calvin Harris will launch a new and exclusive residency at Hakkasan Las Vegas opening in April at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Calvin will debut his residency at the nightclub beginning in April, and is set to perform 46 dates. Rafael Garnica has been involved with music from an early age since the late-90s. Starting out as a drummer and touring with bands, he eventually lost his soul to electronic music. London-based Polaroid 85 combine haunting vocals, deep bass, intricate orchestral layers and glitchy samples to create downtempo, cinematic music. MOOD Records, the brand new label founded by Nicole Moudaber, launches this month with a three-track EP consisting of the original, a Nathan Barato remix and a re-work from Nicole herself. Grin Recordings welcome Richard Dinsdale to the label with his brand new single ‘That's Right’. Richard sharpened his DJ skills at London club, The Cross, where he was then headhunted by Ministry Of Sound, which helped him develop his cosmopolitan sound. Dubai’s Audio Tonic Records recently released a fresh two tracker from German duo Kruse & Nuernberg. Audio Tonic Records launched in late 2011 and has released cuts from some esteemed producers in the world of underground electronic music, such as Jimpster, Ian Pooley, Tom Middleton and Florian Kruse. Here Kruse returns to the label with partner in crime Nils Nuernberg, following their ‘Let’s Call It A Day’ LP on Lazy Days Recordings released in October 2012.
The Meant label returns with a brand new EP from Monoblok & PSLKTR featuring remixes from The Hacker, LaDameNoir & Vosper. French label Meant has had a great run of things in 2012 with releases from Vosper, Rework and Remain vs Populette getting love from DJs across the board and extensive press support. Now the imprint looks to an act that have already proved their worth with previous releases, Monoblok & PSLKTR.

Using the same team who developed Lady Gaga's Little Monsters, the social network is totally unique to the Beetroots, and is fully integrated with YouTube, Soundcloud and all other social media platforms.
With 2012 proving to be somewhat of a breakthrough year for East London producer La Torre, his first release of 2013 sees the unveiling of the record that arguably kicked it all off for him over two years ago, 'J'ai Essaye (No Comprende)' on Stripped Recordings. It was at the back end of 2010, when La Torre handed the pre-master of the track to Sasha, that things started to move.

Ultra Music Festival, known for its massive Miami events, continues its global expansion and for these events Dutch label Armada will host its own stage. On Saturday February 23, the Armada stage will land in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago, Chile.

Deep house legend Ron Trent comes to Shoreditch Studios, London next Saturday as Need2Soul presents an all-night set from the Chicago DJ, playing his first UK show since April 2012 – a seven-hour set. His sets tick all the deep house boxes, with elements of soul, funk and world music threaded seamlessly throughout.

Southern Fried records stalwart Sona Vabos returns with a new EP featuring a functional title and four tracks that delve into the depths of house music’s many facets. Sona Vabos has been a core part of the Southern Fried Records artist stable for the last few years, releasing original EPs and lending his remix talents to records from the likes of 2Bears, Chicken Lips & Crookers. Now the London based producer has just dropped his latest release, the ‘Four Trax EP’.
Award-winning bass music label, Ram Records, is staging its first warehouse party on Saturday 16th March at Ewer Street Car Park, one of London’s largest warehouse venues. Label founder, Andy C, will be appearing at the Great Suffolk Street venue for the first time and will perform one of his extended sets, with support from a host of label mates and handpicked guests performing across the venue’s arches.
John Dahlbäck returns to North America this weekend for a month long jaunt through the United States and Canada. The tour coincides with the release of John’s new single, ‘Life (Diamonds In The Dark)’, which is out February 25 through Big Beat/Atlantic.
The shortlist for the 2013 IDMAs were recently announced and DJ, producer, broadcaster and label head Markus Schulz has picked up nominations in five of the Awards’ categories. Celebrating its first decade on air, Markus’ weekly Global DJ Broadcast show is back in contention for Best Radio Mix Show and he’s also been shortlisted for the Best Global DJ gong.
