Donewrong’s ‘Saviour’ EP, backed with a remix from Pheek, is the latest release from the UK’s Glue Music and is released today. Glue Music, set up by British artist Richard Seeley in 2010, is far from prolific, with just five release under its belt, but its output is consistently quality and tends to veer away from trends. Moody, electronic and always interesting, previous tracks and remixes from Andreas Georgiades, Michael J Collins and Justin Drake have all stood out from the crowd.
Robi Insinna AKA Headman revives underground track ‘It Rough’ for 2013 with a package that includes the original Chicken Lips remix as well as new mixes from Headman and remixes from Scott Fraser and Remain. Back in 2003 the Gomma label released Headman’s ‘It Rough’ featuring a slice of post punk/disco from Headman producer Robi Insinna and a remix from production duo Chicken Lips. The record was a massive success for the label and receiving a nomination from Groove Magazine as an ‘all time dance classic’.
This coming New Year’s Eve, Lights All Night will take over Fair Park in Dallas, TX for its annual electronic music party. And with the festival kicking off today, LAN recently announced its finalised schedule. Spanning five stages over three days (Dec. 29-31st), LAN will give festival patrons the opportunity to see a variety of artists, ranging from Tiësto, Avicii, and Calvin Harris on Lights All Night’s Main Stage to rising stars Crizzly, Herobust, and Tritonal on the intimate Club @ LAN Stage. Doors will open at 3pm (local time) and the show kicks off at 4pm.

In Room Two, a techno battle will roll out of the speakers and onto the dance floor between Dave Clarke and Drumcode artist Joseph Capriati. In anticipation of his NYE gig in Fabric, The White Noise Radio Show host decided to drop a bracing 76 and a half-minute long mix and, according to the Fabric press release, “it's amazing”.
Ibizian imprint Chronovision bring you ‘This World’ by Anëk Feat Robert Owens backed with remixes from DJ W!ld, Veitengruber and Lee Brinx. Denise & Karina Jensen aka Anëk originate from Copenhagen in Denmark and burst on to the scene earlier this year when joining ViVa Music on their Be-At TV Stream. The duo went on to release the single ‘Come Out To Play’ later that year via Steve Lawler’s label.
The Luna Records label returns with a new single from Israeli producer Bad Business featuring two electronic vocal tracks. Middlesbrough based Luna Records has had a run of things since launching in late 2009. Singles from the likes of DZeta N’ Basile, Ben Rau, DJ W!ld and label boss Paul Bowen have helped build the label’s reputation for electronic music whilst the imprint’s eclectic musical approach has ensured that each new release is treated as something of an event.
Spain’s Novo Music joins up with US producer UnoMas (MIA) for a brand new single of solid house music featuring remixes from Luna City Express and label bosses Leix & Samu. Novo Music is the brainchild of producers Leix and Samu and has been releasing quality house music since 2008 via its Novo, Novotek and Novotek Raw series imprints. Nestled in the Spanish coastal town of Peñiscola, Novo Music is a mere 100miles by boat from Ibiza’s famous white shores and whilst the clubbing mecca has no doubt influenced the label, there is a decidedly international outlook to its approach.

French House label Robsoul Recordings is giving aspiring filmmakers the opportunity to create a short video of the track ‘Dance Sing’ by Theo Parrish. The label, run by Phil Weeks, has just agreed with Harmonie Park Records to re-release the 2004 classic ‘Twin Cities EP’ on 18th January 2013. Video makers have complete freedom to create whatever they feel artistically matches the music.
With Benjamin Damage already presenting his second album, ‘Heliosphere’ it is easy to forget that he has only been releasing records since 2010. Only two years after his first track was released, Benjamin presented his first album “They!Live”, produced with Doc Daneeka. The pair used some Modeselektor recording downtime and produced the album in a period of 6-8 weeks at the Monkeytown bosses studio in Berlin. Twenty-year-old South London newcomer Arlissa has secured a place on the BBC’s prestigious Sound of 2013 longlist – also featuring the likes of Haim, AlunaGeorge, Laura Mvula and Palma Violets. Commenting on Arlissa’s selection, the BBC writes: “she’s already piqued attentions with a great collaboration, but it’s what Arlissa does next that’ll really resonate.” Arlissa’s debut single – ‘Sticks & Stones’ – is expected for release early next year, whilst her one-off collaboration with Nas – ‘Hard To Love Somebody’ – is out now.
Cyril Hahn recently announced his debut European tour, at the moment kicking off in Denmark on March 1 2013. Cyril experimented early on during high school with music production and abandoned it after leaving his hometown of Bern, Switzerland to pursue his studies in Vancouver, Canada. After a three year hiatus from music, feeling a need to return to his former love, he sat down and did what is considered by some to be taboo: stripped down two iconic R&B songs and gave them his unique atmospheric twist: Mariah Carey's 'Touch My Body' and Destiny's Child's 'Say My Name'.
