Donewrong’s ‘Saviour’ EP, backed with a remix from Pheek, is the latest release from the UK’s Glue Music and is released today.

 Glue Music, set up by British artist Richard Seeley in 2010, is far from prolific, with just five release under its belt, but its output is consistently quality and tends to veer away from trends. Moody, electronic and always interesting, previous tracks and remixes from Andreas Georgiades, Michael J Collins and Justin Drake have all stood out from the crowd.

Robi Insinna AKA Headman revives underground track ‘It Rough’ for 2013 with a package that includes the original Chicken Lips remix as well as new mixes from Headman and remixes from Scott Fraser and Remain. Back in 2003 the Gomma label released Headman’s ‘It Rough’ featuring a slice of post punk/disco from Headman producer Robi Insinna and a remix from production duo Chicken Lips. The record was a massive success for the label and receiving a nomination from Groove Magazine as an ‘all time dance classic’.

This coming New Year’s Eve, Lights All Night will take over Fair Park in Dallas, TX for its annual electronic music party. And with the festival kicking off today, LAN recently announced its finalised schedule. Spanning five stages over three days (Dec. 29-31^st), LAN will give festival patrons the opportunity to see a variety of artists, ranging from Tiësto, Avicii, and Calvin Harris on Lights All Night’s Main Stage to rising stars Crizzly, Herobust, and Tritonal on the intimate Club @ LAN Stage. Doors will open at 3pm (local time) and the show kicks off at 4pm. 

Ron Carroll has been a DJ since the mid-80s and has worked with iconic artists from that generation such as Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Lil Louis and Ron Hardy! Ron is known for his big-hit tracks such as ‘Lucky Star’ with Superfunk, ‘Back Together’ with Hardsoul and ‘Wonderful World’ with Axwell & Bob Sinclar.

Markus Schulz, recently crowned America’s Best DJ, will return to the Hollywood nightspot, Avalon, on the 31^st of December. The site of his much-celebrated ‘Los Angeles 2012’ gigs back in February, NYE will see him usher in the New Year in fitting style. On the cards is another 10-hour sound-session as Markus takes the LA crowd through to 2013.

As clubbers from around the world prepare to flood the beaches of Playa Del Carmen with the plan to indulge in as many events as possible, much of dance music’s main players will be there to oblige their party hunger. Boasting a lineup of over 250+ DJs and 50+ events, BPM is a huge event. 

New Year’s Eve is rapidly approaching and London club Fabric brewed something special for those who want the last of 2012 to be scattered with flashes of techno brilliance. In Room Two, a techno battle will roll out of the speakers and onto the dance floor between Dave Clarke and Drumcode artist Joseph Capriati. In anticipation of his NYE gig in Fabric, The White Noise Radio Show host decided to drop a bracing 76 and a half-minute long mix and, according to the Fabric press release, “it's amazing”. 

Ibizian imprint Chronovision bring you ‘This World’ by Anëk Feat Robert Owens backed with remixes from DJ W!ld, Veitengruber and Lee Brinx. Denise & Karina Jensen aka Anëk originate from Copenhagen in Denmark and burst on to the scene earlier this year when joining ViVa Music on their Be-At TV Stream. The duo went on to release the single ‘Come Out To Play’ later that year via Steve Lawler’s label. 

The Luna Records label returns with a new single from Israeli producer Bad Business featuring two electronic vocal tracks. Middlesbrough based Luna Records has had a run of things since launching in late 2009. Singles from the likes of DZeta N’ Basile, Ben Rau, DJ W!ld and label boss Paul Bowen have helped build the label’s reputation for electronic music whilst the imprint’s eclectic musical approach has ensured that each new release is treated as something of an event. 

Spain’s Novo Music joins up with US producer UnoMas (MIA) for a brand new single of solid house music featuring remixes from Luna City Express and label bosses Leix & Samu. Novo Music is the brainchild of producers Leix and Samu and has been releasing quality house music since 2008 via its Novo, Novotek and Novotek Raw series imprints. Nestled in the Spanish coastal town of Peñiscola, Novo Music is a mere 100miles by boat from Ibiza’s famous white shores and whilst the clubbing mecca has no doubt influenced the label, there is a decidedly international outlook to its approach. 

American DJ and producer Starkillers delivers his next release on Spinnin Records. This time teaming up with his EDM production partner Dmitry KO and recently named “The number one voice on today’s dance floor” Amba Shepherd. 

Belgian five-piece Balthazar will preview the release of their album, 'Rats', with a London show at the Lexington on 16th January. With their current single, 'The Oldest Of Sisters' proving a favourite at XFM, the band also release a second single from the album in February in the shape of 'Do Not Claim Them Anymore'. 

Following the success of ‘Hide’ featuring Miss Kittin, Kris Menace releases the second single taken from his album, ‘Features’. ’Lone Runner' a collaboration between Kris and  Swedish dance music pioneer, Unai, who together deliver a slice of electronica drizzled with deep melancholy. The remix package includes mixes from Denmark’s #1 DJ Kolsch, Barcelona’s Undo, Serbian duo Acos CoolKAs and French filtered house don, Axel Le Baron.

Blanck Mass, the solo pseudonym of Benjamin John Power (one half of Fuck Buttons), will tour with Icelandic dream weavers Sigur Ros in 2013, and has issued a free download to boot. The Fuck Button man is currently working on a second album and preparing to tour with Sigur Ros on the European and UK legs of their world tour in February and March 2013.

Richard Durand and Pedro Del Mar present their brand new collaboration, ‘Paint The Sky’, on Black Hole Recordings’ Magik Muzik imprint. Featuring the lovely vocals of Roberta Harrison, the track shows the outcome when two talented producers in electronic dance music come together. 

Philipp "Santé" Maier’s latest EP on Desolat, ‘Surrender’, is a vocal collaboration with Ben King (of Expatriate's fame) that immerses the listener into a combination of groove, vocals, and a touch of Unkle for good measure. A full-bodied version of the track is dubbed with no vocals and transformed with a neatly arranged beastly kick. 

Hed Kandi is celebrating New Year’s Eve 2012 by staging 22 lavishly produced, glamorous White Parties worldwide. From Brazil to Amsterdam, Sydney to Glasgow, and Qatar to Barcelona and London, Hed Kandi’s arsenal of DJs, musicians and house music anthems will be dispatched across the globe to fuel the brand’s festivities.

Tiësto’s label, Musical Freedom, recently announced the launch of www.musicalfreedom.com the online home for his Musical Freedom record label. To celebrate, Tiësto and Musical Freedom are offering the “Rage Mix” of the Showtek & Justin Prime ‘Cannonball’ for free download on the site.

Junk Department are back in the capital at Factory 7 this New Year’s Day with a fully loaded underground party showcasing the uber-cool Berlin based label Upon.You. It touches down with the likes of Steve Bug, M.A.N.D.Y. and more, alongside Junk Department residents and two special guests.

As a yearly tradition, Armin van Buuren presents his end-of-the-year compilation, the ‘A State of Trance Year Mix’. With over 100 tracks and remixes, coming together in a two-hour mega-mix, it pulls together all the highlights of 2012 - mixed together by the number one DJ in the world - and commemorates another top year in electronic dance music!

With the Mayan calendar ending tomorrow (or starting again), Joshua Micah emerges onto the scene with a positive message: “How can I be a better person?” This month marked the release of ‘When The World Ends’, the debut single from the Sea to Sun Recording artist. With its uplifting vocals, infectious melody and broad-sweeping appeal, the original mix is working well.

Electric Elephant will return to its stunning home at The Garden Tisno from 11^th – Mon 15^th July, for five days of sun, sea and music in the idyllic location on the Dalmatian coast – Croatia. This, the festival’s sixth year, will introduce a wave of debut guests including Heidi and Miguel Campbell, as well as familiar faces like Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston, Optimo, Ivan Smagghe and Ewan Pearson.

Finnish boys, TJH87 seem to be on a roll just now. Lately they’ve been in the spotlight for their new EP ‘Break Away Kids’, which has been getting support by DJs such as Luciano and Treasure Fingers, as well as airplay from BBC Radio 6 and others.
 

After a top year of sell-out dates and three consecutive releases entering into the Beatport Top 10, Showtek recently took their unique sound to the charts to co-produce the future Chris Brown smash ‘Nobody’s Perfect’. Richie Hawtin will exclusively showcase his award-winning ENTER. concept for 2013 at  London’s O₂ Academy Brixton on Sunday 5^th May Bank Holiday Weekend. The event follows a hugely successful opening season in Ibiza, which earned Richie and his team three awards this year including the impressive ‘Best Night’ award at the Ibiza DJ Awards and ‘Best 2012 Party’ as voted by the readers and jury of the Vicious Magazine Awards.

The pair have a long-standing relationship which has seen Nicole become both a regular guest at Carl Cox’s ‘Revolution’ night at Space Ibiza and also deliver her inaugural release for Intec Digital in 2011.

Gina Star finishes a top 2012 with releases on Toolroom, CR2, Big Beat, and now new label LOI as the LA-based Gina hits out with a new progressive house track, ‘U Don't Love Me’, featuring the voice of Jussie Smollett.

Birth Records will be releasing their new single in the UK on 24^thDecember, together with exclusive remixes from a electro/bass prototypes Cutline, Stenchman, Is Tropical, Endymion, Venice Calypso, Apex, A-Mac, Lost Boys & Nclovin.

After releasing ‘Yearning’ on DFA Records, an influential disco track and ‘Moments Of Excellence’ with Holy Ghost! on Permanent Vacation Records, Black Van aka Kris Menace & koweSix return with hot new single, ‘Inside’ on a brand new label, ‘Excellent Music’. Kris, currently doing well with his single, ‘Hide’ featuring Miss Kittin taken off the new album 'Features', teams up once again with koweSix from Moonbootica who just recently released their latest album on Cheap Thrills.

French House label Robsoul Recordings is giving aspiring filmmakers the opportunity to create a short video of the track ‘Dance Sing’ by Theo Parrish. The label, run by Phil Weeks, has just agreed with Harmonie Park Records to re-release the 2004 classic ‘Twin Cities EP’ on 18th January 2013. Video makers have complete freedom to create whatever they feel artistically matches the music.

With Benjamin Damage already presenting his second album, ‘Heliosphere’ it is easy to forget that he has only been releasing records since 2010. Only two years after his first track was released, Benjamin presented his first album “They!Live”, produced with Doc Daneeka. The pair used some Modeselektor recording downtime and produced the album in a period of 6-8 weeks at the Monkeytown bosses studio in Berlin. The trip to Berlin had a definitive influence on the sound of the album that successfully merged UK and Berlin styles garnering critical acclaim.

Subculture Recordings, John O’Callaghan’s record label, launched in 2010, has built a steady reputation and is home to some of the industry’s most promising producer talent. Highlighting its story of success with the annual chapter of his ‘Subculture’ compilation, John O’Callaghan now presents ‘Subculture 2013’. Favoured for its continuous flow of releases, starting the Subculture label has turned out to be one of the best decisions in John O’Callaghan’s career. 

‘Strictly 4 DJs Volume 6’ is out on money, featuring an unprecedented 30 full length tracks crammed into the edition, including some of the latest tracks from artists such as Dino Lenny Vs. Hardrive’s ‘I Wanna Be Like Talking Heads’, Seamus Haji & Cevin Fisher’s ‘I Love The Music’ and Daddy’s Groove’s ‘It’s Not Right But It’s Okay’.

Animal started with a regular DJ takeover on Modestep Radio, then progressing onto delivering guest mixes for Mistajam on BBC Radio 1Xtra and XFM’s The Remix Show before remixing both Big Kids and Lisa Rowe. Example is set to make a return to the Balearics with longstanding collaborator DJ Wire, for a run of 15 exclusive summer shows across Mallorca (Thursdays) and Ibiza (Fridays). With 17 shows in total during his exclusive season residency, Example will also bring his full live festival show for headline gigs at Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks in August (13^th and 14^th).

Sander does know how to make a good tune, remember his summer collab with teenager Julian Jordan for their track, ‘Kangaroo.’ This was followed in short order with the sweeping sounds and heavy drops of ‘To Galaxy,’ part of the remix soundtrack for hallowed video game franchise HALO [4]. And then there was the signing of ‘Nothing Inside’ to Jay Z’s Roc Nation imprint back in October.

Afrojack’s long-awaited official remix to Keane’s ‘Sovereign Light Café’ will now be released on December 24 exclusively on Afrojack’s own Wall Recordings. A mainstay in his sets across the world over the past few weeks, the track has quickly gained popularity within various sections of the electronic community. 

Hed Kandi heads up its party season by throwing its Kandi Christmas 2012 extravaganza at McQueen, Shoreditch, London EC2, on Saturday 22^nd December. Hed Kandi’s Phil Faversham and DJ Eibhlin will headline, with DJ support from Shane Macauley, Miss Mavrik, Max Bloom and Mike Kirkland, and live sax by Aimee Jay. 

Brooklyn-based label Mexican Summer has announced that San Fransiscan Kiwi’s shoegaze duo Tamaryn will be returning to the UK in early 2013 for a string of live dates to support their newly released sophomore album 'Tender New Signs'. Following some stirring and positive reviews for second album 'Tender New Signs', Tamaryn have just announced a major European tour for early 2013, and will be stopping off in the UK for four of those dates.

Neil Higgins and Richard Sen return as Padded Cell with a brand new single, ‘Guardians Of The Night’ released this week through Different Recordings. It’s been a few years since previous Padded Cell single releases, which have been championed by a wide range of DJs such as Harvey, James Murphy, Erol Alkan and David Mancuso.

Ever since young Louis Rogé decided to flunk university and turn Brodinski into a full time operation, it was his passion for unearthing and creating exciting new tunes that drove him forward. No surprise then when Brodinski unveiled his newest enterprise alongside Manager, Manu Barron: the aptly named Bromance, a music label devoted to "people we love".

Robbie Rivera  - creator of “Juicy Beach” party in Miami is seeking out a hot new dance music talent through an online competition. The Grand Prize winner will receive the opportunity to play along side Robbie and other international DJ talent at Juicy Beach on March 21, 2012 plus the chance to show off those production skills with their very own release on Juicy Music. Robbie isn’t looking for some last minute opening DJ, but rather a new talent to showcase prominently at the Juicy Beach event and on all promotional materials.

It contains more than 50 tracks and remixes from some of the world’s best underground producers, including the likes of Simian Mobile Disco, Tiga, Deetron, Gabriel Ananda, Robert Babicz, Max Cooper, Ben Pearce, jozif, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Luca Bacchetti, Todd Bodine, Pig & Dan, Butch, Paul Ritch, Justin Martin, Catz 'n Dogz, SIS, Smash TV, Julian Jeweil, Subb-an, Phonogenic, Technasia, Guy J, Heiko Laux & Diego Hostettler and many others. 

Twenty-year-old South London newcomer Arlissa has secured a place on the BBC’s prestigious Sound of 2013 longlist – also featuring the likes of Haim, AlunaGeorge, Laura Mvula and Palma Violets. Commenting on Arlissa’s selection, the BBC writes: “she’s already piqued attentions with a great collaboration, but it’s what Arlissa does next that’ll really resonate.” Arlissa’s debut single – ‘Sticks & Stones’ – is expected for release early next year, whilst her one-off collaboration with Nas – ‘Hard To Love Somebody’ – is out now.

Miss Kittin returns with the single ‘Life Is My Teacher’ which is now available as a free download on www.misskittin.com. The song offers up a glimpse of Kittin's third album, the self-produced double-CD ‘Calling From The Stars’, to be released on wSphere Records on April 22, 2013.

Cyril Hahn recently announced his debut European tour, at the moment kicking off in Denmark on March 1 2013. Cyril experimented early on during high school with music production and abandoned it after leaving his hometown of Bern, Switzerland to pursue his studies in Vancouver, Canada. After a three year hiatus from music, feeling a need to return to his former love, he sat down and did what is considered by some to be taboo: stripped down two iconic R&B songs and gave them his unique atmospheric twist: Mariah Carey's 'Touch My Body' and Destiny's Child's 'Say My Name'.

Sankeys brings 2012 to a close – and opens up its 2013 account – with, for the first time, two NYE parties. Taking place both in Manchester and Ibiza, the club this summer has celebrated its 18^th anniversary in the UK and heralded the continuation of a new adventure on the White Isle. After two seasons in Ibiza, and by partly mirroring their Manchester club’s success, although adding some uniquely European feel to the project, club owner David Vincent’s vision is starting to evolve.

As you’ve no doubt heard, according to the ancient Mayan civilisation, the end of the world will take place later this month. The 12/12/12 date marks the end of the Mayan calendar, and the world is supposed to end on 21/12/12 – the day of the winter solstice. UK record label Wall Of Sound thinks that if we’re all going to die, we may as well go out in style! So it’s announcing the Wall Of Sound ‘End Of The World’ tour, taking in some of the key towns and cities around the UK.

Hot Creations recently announced that Art Department have been added to teh line up for ‘Paradise’, taking place at O2 Brixton Academy, April 13^th 2013. Paradise, will feature the live debut of Hot Natured, the collective of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Luca C and Ali Love. Their latest single ‘Benediction’ has become one of this year’s biggest dance tunes, and the debut album and live shows will hopefully be one of the biggest things in electronic music in 2013.

Awake returns for the third instalment since the summer, and this time they’re stripping it back as they say thank you to all their loyal supporters. Taking over Cable’s most intimate room, Relay, on Sunday 23^rd December, it’s a pre Christmas party toasting the people that have came to Awake each Sunday. 

The UK's My Digital Enemy have been on fire recently with releases on labels such as Skint Records, Wall Recordings, Toolroom Records, Stealth Records, Hotfingers and their very own Zulu imprint throughout 2012. Their recently released ‘Bring It Down’ track is a massive slab of house music with a good vocal and comes with a remix from Grammy nominated DJ/producer Todd Terry.

With Dallas’ annual electronic festival on the horizon, Lights All Night recently announced its final lineup for the three-day event. Taking place in Dallas, TX on December 29-31 in Fair Park, LAN’s lineup has expanded to include 30+ new artists. EDM rising stars Baauer, Herobust, Tritonal, Krewella, and more will play side-by-side with Tiësto, Avicii, Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, Axwell, Diplo, Ghostland Observatory, Flux Pavilion, and more.

Following the announcement that Cream Boxing Night has sold out, Cream will return to Nation on Saturday 2^nd March for their first show of 2013. The brand launches into the year with a line-up that blends the leading names in electronic music with the legends that have helped Cream to be the brand it is today, including Paul van Dyk, Nicky Romero, Eddie Halliwell, Aly & Fila, Third Party, Tim Mason plus many more.

Hot off his Radio 1 Essential Mix, Thomas Gold announces a return to North America in January 2013 for an entire month of dates on his Fanfare World Tour. Thomas will ring in the New Year in Los Angeles at Vanguard before heading out across the USA and Canada. Capping it all off is a gig at New York’s famed Roseland Ballroom on January 26, with tickets going on sale today.

Festival organisers DF Concerts and founding partner Tennent’s Lager recently revealed that Two Door Cinema Club and Azealia Banks are heading to Kinross next July for the 20^th year of T in the Park. They join an array of acts announced by organisers earlier this week, with headliners Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers, plus The Script, alt-J, Paloma Faith, Jake Bugg and Of Monsters and Men already confirmed to play T in the Park’s 20^th year edition over 12^th – 14^th July.

Australian singer Emma Hewitt’s own track 'Rewind', taken from her 'Burn The Sky Down' album, gets the remix treatment by producers tyDi, Dabruck & Klein, KATFYR and Mikkas. It's been nearly six months since Emma Hewitt introduced the world to her very first artist album, 'Burn The Sky Down', which received a warm welcome, doing well.

Tonight sees a headline back-to-back set and accompanying line-up as Omid 16B launches a series of worldwide events under the Alola Presents banner - the name of the deep house label he launched 20 years ago. Omid 16B will be playing a never seen before, four hour back-to-back set with his friend and stalwart of the scene, Mr. C. 

New York City based electronic duo The Knocks will celebrate the New Year as the house DJs for MTV’s Club NYE 2013. The festivities broadcast live from Times Square on December 31^st at 11:00pm eastern with performances by Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, Sean Kingston, Rita Ora and Conor Maynard with hosts Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWOWW” Farley and comedian Jeff Dye.

Brighton based Black Key Records team up with Glaswegian DJ/producer Milton Jackson for a brand new EP backed with a remix from Andy Ash. Barry Christie AKA Milton Jackson has been at the heart of the UK’s electronic music scene since he first appeared at the age of 19 on Soletronic’s Tronicsole label back in 2000. In the intervening years he has become a driving force for quality house (and techno) and has released music through prominent labels such as Freerange, Urbantorque and Tsuba. 

Brand new UK label, Danse Club Records launch their ‘Gold Series’ with a re-mastered and remixed version of the 1995 house classic ‘Love me Or Leave Me’ by Cherie Lee. Danse Club Records is a new label venture from brothers Scott and Austen Smart, siblings who produce together under the Brodanse name and have music forthcoming on the Fresh Meat label out of Chicago as well as the Fullbarr imprint.

Maya Jane Coles releases her first EP in 12 months; ‘Easier To Hide’, a diverse release comprising of four original tracks all written, produced, played, vocalled, engineered and mixed by Maya; to give just a taste of what lies in store from her forthcoming debut album; scheduled for an early Spring 2013 release.

Following the success of last year’s debut London NYE event, Defected return to Electric Brixton with some of the finest house DJs in the form of Dennis Ferrer, Deetron, Noir, Simon Dunmore and Sam Divine. Aside from genre-defining records like ‘Hey Hey’, Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Dennis Ferrer has also nurtured some of the scene’s most exciting talent through his own Objektivity imprint. 

FARR Festival returns in July 2013 for more adventures in the woods, with early bird tickets now on sale, via their new website farrfestival.co.uk. Striding into its fourth year, the festival has steadily achieved a good reputation for its music programming in stunning surroundings. Set in a secluded woodland atop a mount just 30 minutes train ride from north London, its impressive string of headliners last year saw Craig Richards, Bicep, Miguel Campbell, Optimo, Jozif, Waifs and Strays and Huxley all venture deep into the woodland.

Billy Nasty announces the re-launch of his Tortured and Electrix labels. The techno imprint Tortured was established in 1997 by Billy Nasty and went on to considerable success and critical acclaim with releases from the likes of The Advent, Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, Dave Angel, Space DJs, Hertz and Umek.  

Rita Ora is now setting her sights on 2013 with the announcement of her own set of live UK dates on the Radioactive Tour.  The Roc Nation / Columbia signing hit the music scene earlier this year featuring on the No.1 DJ Fresh hit ‘Hot Right Now’, Rita followed this smashing into the charts with her own No.1 singles ‘R.I.P’ and How We Do (Party)’ making her the only artist this year to have three No.1 singles in a row. The release of her debut album ‘ORA’ rounded off her run also claiming the No.1 spot this summer.

DJ Krush is coming to The Forum in London for a rare show on February 1^st, an all-too-rare showcase of his unique brand of dark, multi-textured beats, with audiovisual delights and DJ support coming from DJ Food, Anchorsong and Mr Thing. Tokyo-born DJ Krush is best-known for his unique approach of instrumental hip hop, having taken the genre to a different level, his influence on some of today’s brightest stars is well-documented.

Pacha recently launched its first ever Australian residency at Sydney’s ivy. Former Black Eyed Peas artist Will.I.Am called Toon and Jef Martens, known collectively as Lazy Jay, at Jef’s home studio in Holland and asked the duo to provide the beats for his latest track with Britney Spears ‘Scream & Shout’. Formed as an open ended, anything goes outlet for brothers Toon and Jef, their Lazy Jay project soon caught the attention of some very heavy hitters. Azealia Banks was an early convert to the Lazy Jay technique and style, utilizing their musical acuity for the un-conventional sound of her global hit ‘212.’

World AIDS Day is today, December 1^st, and as part of the DANCE (RED), SAVE LIVES campaign that sees some of the world's biggest dance artists unite for the first time to fight AIDS, Tiësto and Laidback Luke are asking their fans to donate to help deliver an AIDS FREE GENERATION by 2015. In six years (RED) has raised $200 million to fight AIDS with 100% of that money going to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the world's leading financier of programs to fight these three diseases.
