Skream makes his Boysnoize Records debut with ‘Bang That’, which is released this Monday 24 March. British DJ, producer and radio presenter, Skream (Ollie Jones) has been kicking up a storm since his days at Croydon’s Big Apple Record store, which became an integral part of the early dubstep scene. Having produced music since he was a teenager, he went on to release tracks on a variety of UK labels, including two artist albums, ‘Skream!’ in 2006 and ‘Outside The Box’ in 2010, both on Tempa Records, as well as being a member of Magnetic Man alongside Benga and Artwork.
Pukka Up embarks on a residency this year entitled ‘Going Global’ in Pacha’s Global Room every Wednesday from 11 June until 24 September. This recent announcement comes with the news that for the first time, Pukka Up will add one extra day of boat parties to its weekly programme, kick starting on 11 June and every Wednesday thereon for 15 weeks. Isis Salam has hooked up with German duo Kruse & Nuernberg to release 'Let Go'. The track translates to video well and this is Isis’ dance evolution, complete with two Tasmanian dancing devils. Taking Berlin’s backdrop as a starting point for their flow they move through the streets and stores of the German capital. The video features a brief cameo appearance from Kruse & Nuernberg who, like in real life, keep the music rollin’.
Fresh from mixing a disc of ‘Defected In The House Miami 2014’, Canadian artist Paolo Rocco has been going from strength to strength with his steady flow of releases in recent years. Highly regarded for his structured DJ sets as well as his productions, this artist of Italian descent has produced for a slew of creditable imprints such as Saved Records, Seaking, Real Tone and Klasse Recordings whilst also seeing his work praised by the likes of Damian Lazarus, Nic Fanciulli and DJ Sneak.
The next release on Leftroom revisits the debut album, ‘Word Of Mouth’, by label boss Matt Tolfrey, which was released in 2012. Four cuts from the full length get remixed by Mr Fingers, NYC’s Kenny Dope, Justin Harris and Luke Solomon’s Freaks project and Classic cohort Rob Mello’s No Ears. First up, Matt Tolfrey feat Jem Cooke & Kevin Knapp’s ‘Distant Story’ gets remixed by Larry Heard. The Alleviated boss transforms the track into a deeply soulful and spiritual track with otherworldly pads, feathery light hi hats and knock-on-wood beats.

The duo have also just announced that they’ll be presenting this week’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. This will be Deep Dish’s fourth time helming the Essential Mix and the first time since 2005.
As the countdown to festival season begins, Germany’s Melt! Festival recently revealed 20 new acts for the 2014 edition, which takes place from 18 – 20 July in Ferropolis. The Cocoon label is back with the next instalment of its annual mix series. Entitled ‘Neun’, this latest edition, like all eight before it, comes from Chris Tietjen, who has once again been chosen by label boss Sven Väth to represent the Cocoon sound across 15 various selections. Dannic and Dyro are teaming up once more as they prepare for this year’s WMC in Miami. After their Daftastic VS Front of House party at last year’s ADE, the two Dutch house artists are taking the same party ethos to Miami, as a ‘Radical,’ new concept. The party will take place at Wall, Miami on Sunday 30 March and takes its name from the co-production from the two Revealed Recordings’ artist.
