The DJ Mag crew is back at Ministry of Sound for the second takeover this year, with special guest DJ, Noir on Saturday 5 July. Building on the success of their first event with Riva Starr, DJ Mag is bringing Noir to the proceedings. ‘Order Of Direction’ is the new album from Yoruba’s Afefe Iku – a maelstrom of heady rhythms and intricate musical textures distilled into six entirely unique tracks. Afefe is the protégé of Osunlade and hails from the ancient island of Manda, near Lamu Town off Kenya's coast. He works closely with Osunlade and, utilising his I'lle Studios, has been afforded the aesthetic of the Yoruba sound.

‘Stuck In Love’ is the debut solo single from Ukrainian singer/songwriter Irena, produced and mixed by Julian Bendall (Bah Samba) and Mark Ralph (Filthy Dukes/Hot Natured) for Favouritizm. The track sees Irena deliver a distinctive, heartfelt vocal, telling a love story, underpinned by a warm backdrop of retro electronica, fused with lush deep house sensibilities. Joining forces on remix duty are Italian producer Alex Vanni and Fav’ label boss Sarah Favouritizm, who crank up the thermostat and drop a cinematic ‘80s synth electro-pop / nu disco flavoured remix. This year’s Cocoon Ibiza is mixed by Mathias Kaden and label regular Popof, helping celebrate the fact Cocoon Ibiza is now 15 years old, with both DJs set to preform live at Amnesia a number of times this summer. German Mathias Kaden is a tech house producer who most often appears on Vakant and has done so for almost a decade now. Popof, meanwhile, has been active since the mid-90s and the French man is known for his take on minimal techno and electro.

'Searching4Love' is the fruit of a musical union between two Parisian house heads, DJ/producer Phil Weeks and vocalist Ladybird, who together have cooked up a slice of deep and soulful house for Robsoul. Duck Sauce, the veteran New York DJ team of A-Trak and Armand Van Helden, will be releasing their full length studio debut ‘Quack’ on 29June 2014.
