Louie Vega and Harry Romero collaborate for the first time with ‘El Ritmo’ landing on Bambossa Records this month. Fuelled by organic percussion and atmospherics, the track is a Latin-influenced affair - a vocal snippet raises the temperature, while a blast of heavy drums, dubby chords and rising pads add texture.

1989 was a fortuitous time for Ten City as they unleashed their own brand of house music, packed with love and positivity. In the process, they possibly captured the imagination of the nation’s youth and transformed themselves into a household name. Now almost 25 years later and taken from their forthcoming album, ‘Judgement’ set for release this summer, they re-release the 1989 classic ‘That’s The Way Love Is’ now including a remix by NYC’s Louie Vega, out now on Ultra Music.

After releasing Louie Vega and The Martinez Brothers’ ‘Let It Go’ earlier this summer, Defected now deliver a remix from Australian DJ and producer Dom Dolla. The original record, a homage to NYC’s rich Latin American dance culture, was a soulful and groove-filled production from two generations of the city’s DJ/producers.
