Louie Vega Featuring Anané And Tony Touch

Louie Vega Featuring Anané and Tony Touch

US house artist Louie Vega is back with another reworking, this time tackling a club classic by Indeed, which first landed in 1982. He does so with two featured guests: house vocalists Anané and American rapper Tony Touch, who began as a b-boy and has apparently become a cult DJ, having put together many mixtapes.

The first remix reworks the tune into a modern house sound, featuring big drums, vocals, and extra synth flair that aims to offer a new impact with a classic touch. Anané's Dub then goes deep with smooth chords laid over the drums.

Vega then hooks up with US house collective Funki Cadets, who have recently signed to his Vega Records. He adds his own Shapes Mix to their 'In Search of Peace Of Mind', providing a house cut rooted in rolling bass, with synth and trumpet stabs that amp up the tension before falling away to reveal an hypnotic groove. The brass melodies return with a more airy feel and jazzy edge.

His Peace Dub then keeps it tight and raw with drum pressure and trumpet drama aimed at peak times.

Louie Vega Featuring Anané & Tony Touch 'Last Night A DJ Saved My Life ' / 'In Search Of Peace Of Mind’ (Featuring Funki Cadets) is out now on Nervous Records.
