Following ‘the most prolific year of his production career’, Adam Beyer starts 2024 with another EP, ‘Let’s Begin’, which takes influence from the ‘90s Drumcode sound with a modern touch. Looking backwards to go forwards, the three-track work kicks off with ‘Let’s Begin’ and sees Beyer lean on faster tempos and rugged rhythms, a track he’s dropped at recent gigs at L56 in Ljubljana and Fairground Festival in Hannover.

Open to women, trans and non-binary artists, Change the Beat and Drumcode recently announced a competition to remix one of their biggest techno cuts of 2023; Mha Iri ‘Bell’. Change the Beat is a campaign from Sydney Blu which was created with the help of Native Instruments and is partnered with Beatport.

The 12th volume of Drumcode’s flagship ‘A-Sides’ series is set to land, featuring 20 cuts spanning the breadth of the techno spectrum, with Carl Cox making his label debut. The annual compilation serves to showcase some of Adam Beyer’s favourite demos throughout the year, as the label boss enjoys the opportunity to introduce new artists to the label, while showcasing cuts from label mainstays.

HI-LO returns to Drumcode to share another pair of dancefloor tracks. The techno alias of Oliver Heldens has found a home at Drumcode, dropping ‘Hypnos’ and ‘WANNA GO BANG’ Eps in consecutive years, leading last year’s A-sides compilation with a Layton Giordani collaboration ‘Rabbit Hole’, while lending his touch to Adam Beyer & DJ Rush’s ‘Restore My Soul’ as well. Meanwhile, he’s been a fixture of Drumcode’s events at Miami WMC and The Warehouse Project.

Adam Beyer's new single 'Legend' is out now on Drumcode Records. The label boss has been working on and playing this out for well over a year, with the track highlighting gigs including Tomorrowland, Ultra Europe and Creamfields last summer, alongside many of his Ibiza shows.

Chris Avantgarde and Kevin De Vries have linked for the first time to deliver the track ‘Mind Control’. The release marks Avantgarde’s maiden appearance on Drumcode, while this is De Vries’ second following up ‘Eternity’ on A-Sides Vol.5 way back in 2016.

Two years on from his album ‘Straight Lines & Sharp Corners’, Wehbba returns with the three-tracker ‘Dynamo’. The Barcelona-based, Brazilian-born artist’s title track delivers with energy as organic tones, an acid mid-section and vocal samples from Marlon Brando sit in the background.

Adam Beyer begins the year with a new solo EP, following on from a 2021 that saw a collaboration with DJ Rush and a compilation with Kevin Saunderson’s E-Dancer project to mark 250 Drumcode releases. The title track ‘Dirty Lagoon’ is both colourful and jacking and is a testament to the array of sounds the artist has been exploring throughout the past year.
