Classic Music Company, founded by Luke Solomon and Derrick Carter, has revealed plans for its 30th anniversary celebrations - a tribute to 30 years of club culture, records, and an evolving roster of artists. The label will release a special coffee table book and a three-part vinyl box set, and will host a party to mark the milestone anniversary.

Multifaceted producer duo Makèz and cross-genre rapper Pinty kick start Classic’s 2025 catalogue with ‘Loosen Your Bones’. Following a year which saw Makèz release their fourth EP on Heist Recordings and appear at ADE with their infectious energy, the Dutch duo impressed Classic boss Luke Solomon as they closed out the label’s stage at Defected Malta back in October 2024.

Girls of the Internet’s ‘Gravity’ featuring ALLKNIGHT receives a remix from LADYMONIX on Classic. The original track received support across BBC Radio 1 earlier in 2024, possibly drumming up anticipation for their LP ‘When I Was Lost, I Found Myself’.

Raised on the bass-heavy frequencies of Bristol, UK, various labels and DJs have been supporters of his output since his self-titled 2009 EP on Claude Von Stroke's Dirtybird, while his releases such as ‘Au Seve’ and ‘Battle For Middle You’ have proven to be popular.

Classic recently unveiled a two-track EP from Texas-born artist Seven Davis Jr. ‘Iss Good / Problematic’. Growing up inspired by legendary black vocalists Prince, Aretha and Stevie, Seven honed his classic gospel and jazz training into soulful, electronic house with an artistic edge, garnering attention for his self-released work and ushering in a wave of releases from various labels.
