Dennis Ferrer steps up to transform a Girls of the Internet track on Classic - ‘Affirmations’ featuring Anelisa Lamola. With incoming shows at Defected’s new Pacha Ibiza residency, Mochakk’s Calling Festival and Dom Dolla’s residency at Hï Ibiza set for summer 2025, Dennis continues to prove himself as a premier selector.
His status as a DJ/producer has been cemented through new ventures, including the launch of thriftshoppe with partner Olena Ferrer, and this label debut heralds Classic’s 30th anniversary.
Starting as a collaboration between Girls of the Internet’s Tom Kerridge and UK’s Sophie Faith, the track was released in the summer of 2023 prior to the collective’s full-length LP ‘When I Was Lost, I Found Myself’.
Dennis completely transforms the track, taking Kerridge’s emotive production and giving it synth bounce mixed with NYC grit, with Anelisa’s vocals stretched and pulled to create rhythmic intricacies.
