Having lent her tones to its first and third singles, Diana Miro is likely now the singer most readily associated with Nic & Bossi’s 11th album project. Cementing that rep, the trio re-team this month to add another fragment to ‘MOSAIIK’s sonic mosaic. After ‘Blame’ and ‘Nothing To Hide’, the Amsterdam-based singer is aiming to burn up the room again with ‘Hear Me Out’.
Diana Miro: “Sometimes I feel like we live in a world of ‘unsaid’ feelings, hiding the truest and sometimes hurtful words in between the messenger’s lines and emojis. Isn’t it easier to simply walk away from an honest conversation than to recognise somebody’s love overruled our pride and unshakable life principles? Maybe if we’d talk honestly with each other we’d better understand ourselves.”
With their production, Nic & Bossi dial into the emotional depths that underpin ‘Hear Me Out’’s song. Drums scud, its bass resonance increases and the metallically-tinted percussion amps the feels, while its pensive synths enhance its whole ‘what-happens-next?’ deal.
