Dave Lee’s new single ‘Power Of The Mind’ (feat. Billy Valentine) is now available to stream and download. Featuring a vintage soul vocal from Billy Valentine, it also happens to be Z Records 300th release and is available in two mixes: JN Redemption Mix and JN Mind Meld Dub.
Dave Lee: “2020 is a landmark year for Z Records. It's 30 years since the label began and we’re about to release our 300th single. Rather than an EP containing remixes of ZR favourites, to celebrate the occasion we decided to make a brand new, original song. ‘Power Of The Mind’ features vocals from the Valentine Brothers, and the song contains a very pertinent lyric about thinking for yourself and not being fooled by fake news.”
Lee has almost 1200 production and writing credits to his name, and along the way he’s released hundreds of singles, enjoyed chart hits, scores of albums, over 170 remixes and many compilations.
‘Power Of The Mind’ follows the September release of ‘Breaking The Beats: A personal selection of West London sounds’, compiled by Dave and Will Fox. ‘Breaking The Beats…’ brought together the pair’s pick of some of the West London scene’s greatest tracks and remixes, featuring Bugz In The Attic, 4 Hero, Sunburst Band, Jazzanova, Atjazz, and many more. The album is available in double CD, gatefold double vinyl, download, and streaming formats; with sleeve notes by Mr Beatnick.
