Toolroom are throwing it back to a label favourite on their next release, unleashing a fresh new edit of a club track from Julio Navas, Gustavo Bravetti and David Amo – ‘Raw’. A record that became apparently became a cult hit of the underground and one that defines the true sound of Toolroom’s heritage.
Toolroom drops a record that aims to ignite dancefloors as landing back on the label is Kurd Maverick vs Adeva, who makes a return with 'In & Out My Life'. German house DJ/producer Kurd has been involved in the scene for over 20 years, remixing records such as Basement Jaxx’s ‘Take Me Back To Your House’ and Bob Sinclar’s ‘Everybody Movin’, in addition to having releases on labels such as Armada, Spinnin’, Ministry of Sound and Toolroom under his belt.
Up next on Toolroom is a collaboration from Bristol’s GotSome and Georgia Meek who have just released the track ‘Dead End’. The follow up to last year’s ‘Big Time Love’ with Kokiri & Tasty Lopez and ‘In The Dark’ with George Kwali, GotSome is possibly one of the most prolific producers in the scene right now, with cuts on Armada Music, Sony BMD, D4D4nce and Toolroom.
Up next on Toolroom Records is the new track from ESSEL, who releases ‘Try’ today. A record drenched with real emotion and a yearning for the good times to begin again, she shows off her production skills, delivering a piano house-focused record possibly akin to a classic Dusky sound.
Toolroom welcome back Illyus & Barrientos with their latest release ‘Sublime’. Glaswegian natives, the pair have been with the label for a while, having released tracks such as 2018’s ‘So Serious’, in addition to ‘Promise’ & ‘Disco Hearts’.
Toolroom have been busy so far in 2022 and up next is a release from Huxley who returns after two years with ‘Waiting’, a piano house track that is aimed at the dancefloor. The UK house artist has released on various labels from Gorgon City’s Realm Records to Yousef’s Circus Recordings and more recently signing to Ultra.
Toolroom will be touching down in London and Brighton for a takeover weekend. Fresh from releasing his debut album ‘Untold Business’ in 2021, label founder Mark Knight will be headlining both the shows.
Rounding off the year Toolroom head honcho, Mark Knight, steps up to deliver the latest instalment of his ‘Bullets’ series, with Vol. 5. Picking up where Vol. 4 left off, the release features new collaborations with two of Mark’s current favourite DJ/producers, Mason & James Hurr.
WaterBear and Toolroom Records recently announced the world’s first degree course run in partnership with a record label. The BA (Hons) Electronic Music & Business (Toolroom Academy) enables musicians to learn from inside the electronic music industry. This is a unique programme and an opportunity to get industry access and mentorship from a known dance music label.
After a long break from the dancefloor, Toolroom Live returns with shows at Ministry Of Sound, London and Motion in Bristol. Celebrating the return, the label presents a brand-new album, ‘Club Rave Dance’, featuring 50 club tracks aimed directly for the dancefloor.
