HHUNTER

Chicago-based HHUNTER continues his run of releases with ‘Round Da Top’, the latest cut in a steady build that’s been gaining momentum across the hard dance world. A self-taught producer shaped by Chicago’s underground, he apparently sits at the forefront of the wave of North American artists pushing harder, more physical club sounds into wider focus.

He’s begun to establish himself across both key platforms and stages with strong editorial support; his releases have landed on Spotify tastemaker playlists including Planet Rave, Helium and Hard Techno, while his performances have taken him through venues such as Radius in Chicago, Avant Gardner in New York and Factory Town in Miami. Along the way, he’s shared lineups with artists including Sara Landry, Indira Paganotto and Nico Moreno.

The track is a bounce-driven and rhythm-led, built for movement first. Elastic grooves, Latin-leaning percussion and tight vocal chops move through the arrangement without overcomplicating things, keeping the focus on what works in a room.

That approach runs through his wider sound. It’s music designed to hold attention without pulling you out of the moment, but behind that simplicity, sits a more personal foundation.

HHUNTER began producing in his mid-twenties, following a period of addiction and getting sober. What started as an outlet gradually became something more defined and a way of rebuilding structure and focus through music. That experience continues to shape how he approaches both sound and environment. Not something he foregrounds, but something that informs the intention behind what he creates.

Through ON THE HHUNT, he’s extended that into a physical space. It’s a series of events built around community and energy, reflecting the same ideas that sit at the core of his music.

This release is another step in that progression, direct and functional yet built for the dancefloor and part of something that’s developing over time.

HHUNTER ‘Round Da Top’ is out now.
