Nicole Moudaber closes out 2025 by teaming up with techno artist ZLATA for the new track ‘Report To The Dancefloor’, which is out now via Drumcode. Fusing Nicole’s deep, hypnotic techno with ZLATA’s dark energy, the track features vocals from both artists.
Nicole Moudaber: “I was first introduced to ZLATA via a ‘women in music’ group chat. We met in Ibiza and hit it off instantly. I always find it so inspiring working with new artists, and we really bounced off each other on this one. The name of the track actually came about from a moment we had after my show at Brooklyn Mirage – although ZLATA will tell it better than me!”
ZLATA: “Nicole and I were talking about another track of mine to sign and the conversation naturally shifted into creating something together. The room was vibrating, Carl Cox was already thundering through the speakers, and I said, ‘Should we go dance?’ Nicole leaned in with her cigarette in her left hand and said, ‘report to the dancefloor.’ It was direct, effortless, and very her. I looked at her and thought, this track is writing itself. Working with her felt like stepping into a masterclass. Being part of this project has been an honour and a true evolution.”
This year saw Nicole expand her MOOD brand with the launch of her new imprint MoodCollective – dedicated to house and tech-house as well as add new records to her catalogue. Debuting on A State Of Trance earlier this year, she has seen more releases on labels including Nervous Records and Drumcode, as well as collaborations with Armin van Buuren, Jamie Jones and Space 92 to name just a few.
ZLATA has supported Eli Brown, Bart Skils, Reinier Zonneveld, and Basement Jaxx. Her releases on Insomniac, We Are The Brave and Femme House Records feature deep, immersive energy, and her performances – from clubs to stages like Avant Gardner, Echostage, Sound Nightclub, and Ultra Music Festival – aim to blend intensity and femininity, making her a decent counterpart to Moudaber’s sound.
‘Report To The Dancefloor’ is out now on Drumcode A-Sides Vol. 14.
