Above & Beyond With Malou

After apparently becoming a standout moment on their ‘Bigger Than All Of Us’ album and a fan-favourite across their North American tour, Above & Beyond’s collaboration with Malou - ‘Letting Go’ - recently ceived an expansive remix package on Anjunabeats. The release sees the track reimagined for dancefloors and deeper listening alike, with brand-new remixes from Rinzen and Drove, alongside the previously released Above & Beyond Club Mix and extended versions of each cut.

Initially released in July, the track was the first collaboration between Above & Beyond and German-Hawaiian singer-songwriter Malou, whose introspective, soulful vocals have been part of a new generation of emotive electronic music. Her credits include the breakout track ‘Breathing’ with Ben Böhmer and Nils Hoffmann (Anjunadeep, 2019).

As the group’s North American amphitheatre tour got underway in summer 2025, the track took on a second life. The group debuted a new Club Mix - darkening the synth palette, upping the tempo, and transforming the track into a possible euphoric peak-time production. Played across venues including Forest Hills Stadium and Shoreline Amphitheatre, it apparently became a live favourite and was officially released on 27 November.

Rinzen, the cinematic techno artist from Los Angeles and This Never Happened recording artist, offers a moody, spacious remix that builds a slow-burning energy while preserving the track's emotional core.

Rinzen: “It’s honestly a surreal feeling to remix Above & Beyond. I’ve been listening to their music for 15 years. I absolutely love everything Malou does as well, so it’s a big honour to put my spin on ‘Letting Go.’”

Drove, the Dutch duo possibly known for their melodic, future-leaning productions, bring a crisp, rhythmic take that blends vocal intimacy with festival-ready energy.

Drove: “We’ve been huge fans of Above & Beyond for years now and they’ve definitely had their influence on our sound as well. After hearing Malou’s vocals on ‘Letting Go’ we were hooked straight away! The song has that big, euphoric, being-pulled-to-the-edge-of-your-seat feeling that we are always chasing in our original songs, so we were dying to get our hands on the song parts.

“Above & Beyond and Malou were so gracious to let us have the stems to work on a version of our own, and we can’t thank them enough for this opportunity. We’re still pinching ourselves that this turned into an official remix! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it!”
