Get Physical Music recently announced the return of its ‘Body Language’ series with Volume 27, curated by Dutch producer Helsloot. At the heart of the label’s ethos is ‘Body Language’, a possible marker within electronic music for over two decades apparently making it one of the longest-standing mix series tied to a label.

What began as a DJ mix series has evolved into a platform for artist albums, each edition offering a snapshot of underground currents and their future directions. Past curators have included Dixon, DJ Hell, WhoMadeWho, Francesco Tristano, Monkey Safari, Yulia Niko, and the label’s founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Philipp Jung (Get Physical Music): “The ‘Body Language’ series has always been about capturing a moment in club culture while pointing towards its future. With Helsloot, we felt the timing was perfect. His sound resonates with today’s global melodic movement, but he brings a depth and emotional clarity that feels true to the spirit of Get Physical. Volume 27 not only honours the legacy of the series but also positions it for a new generation of fans, both on the dancefloor and beyond.”

Volume 27 marks a moment in the series’ progression. Helsloot brings his emotive, melodic house sound to the format; a style that has earned him over 600 million streams on his breakout track ‘Because You Move Me’ with Tinlicker, as well as releases on Anjunadeep, Domino, This Never Happened, and Ritter Butzke. His debut album ‘Never Tried’ (2024) displayed his melodic instincts and possibly positioned him as a producer capable of balancing precision with deep emotional resonance.

Helsloot: “When I was asked to do a 'Body Language' album, I was very honoured. To be able to scroll through their archive that holds all these classics is incredible. It also felt like the perfect opportunity to try out some new sounds.”

With ‘Body Language Vol. 27’, Helsloot delivers an album that captures the emotional intensity of melodic house while honouring Get Physical’s commitment to movement, emotion, and the language of the body.

‘Body Language Vol. 27’, curated by Helsloot, is out now via Get Physical Music.
