From Tokyo’s high-rises to the farthest edges of sound, one figure has spent the last decade bending studio frequencies to her will. ‘Ecliptica’, Rinaly’s debut album, takes its title from the passage of the sun — a rotation where shadow and light are in constant movement. Across its tracks, that interplay shapes the music, shifting between weight and lift, brightness and edge, synth tone and bass drive. Its foundation lies between techno and trance, two styles she draws from and combines throughout.

Rinaly: “My life has been a journey through extremes: light and dark, highs and lows, rapture and despair. Techno, with its deep, driving intensity, embodies the darkness, the struggles, and the power of perseverance, while the uplifting melodies of trance, to me, represent light, hope and transcendence. Together, they form the balance I’ve long fought to find myself.
“For years, I wrestled with my mental health, experiencing both the beauty and the brutality of life. I faced some of my darkest moments and making it through felt like witnessing the dawn after an endless night. This album is more than music; it is my story, my survival, and my way of sharing that passage with others.”
The album features an all-female vocal line-up. Among them are Christina Novelli on ‘Set A Fire’, Julie Thompson on ‘Running’, and contributions from Cari, Clara Yates, Brieanna Grace, and Linnea Schossow (with H4lo), while Donna Tella appears on the closing D&B track ‘Home’.
Rinaly: “I am honoured to share this album and hope it may inspire other women and producers. No matter what you’re facing, you are strong enough to push through. That, at its heart, is the essence of this album.”
Rinaly ‘Ecliptica’ is available via Black Hole Recordings.
