Following on from his 'Babel’ EP, DJ Angelo is back with a release featuring vocals from Jaidene Veda and a remix from Pablo Fierro. Greece’s DJ Angelo has built a career over the last decade which draws on his long held passion for house music and has releases on label likes Saved, Rise, Armada and Connected.
Now he’s back with perhaps his strongest offering to date in the form of ‘Surrender’ featuring the tones of Canadian vocalist Jaidene Veda. The original version kicks off like a hazy summer morning as synth pads and tubular bells drift across a minimal rhythm section. Jaidene’s vocal oozes soulful warmth as she provides the topline to the musical elements.
The remix sees Spain’s Pablo Fierro step up to deliver a spacious and atmospheric reworking built around murky, twisting bass, vibrating chord arms and the track’s vocal.
