PNAU 'Unite Us' (Ministry Of Sound)

Australians Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes are back with their latest track ‘Unite Us’, another high-energy track complete with mixes to cater for all dancefloors. With three albums already under their belt, this track is taken from their next long player, ‘Soft Universe’, which like the track, is due for release in the first quarter of 2012. With mixes from Xilent, Raffertie and the more radio friendly Wideboys, it’s the Douster & Savage Skulls remix that works best for us – a deeper groove, vocal snippets and all complimented by a big old skool garage styled bassline. Messy, but in a good way! We’ve still to hear the Kris Menace and Tommy Trash mixes, but so far, so very good.

Sharam ‘Our Love’ (Yoshitoshi)

Sharam

Tune of The Day! It was never in doubt that if there was a Sharam release on the horizon then it would be Tune of the Day! We are big fans of his productions and would go as far as saying that ‘Fun’ was one of the best tunes of 2011. So, what a way to finish a hugely successful year! Just as everyone settles down for the festive period, not expecting anything special until 2012 with all the pre-Miami biggies, Sharam releases ‘Our Love’, featuring the gorgeous vocals of the very talented Anousheh Khalili. This is a driving dance track featuring warbling basslines, pianos and a fantastic haunting vocal. It’s Yoshitoshi doing what they do best and Sharam showing again why he is still one of the best DJ/producers on the planet. We love it!

Mekkah Ft Stephen Granville – Race Of Survival (Soul Love)

Seamus Haji’s 2002 anthem under his Mekkah guise gets updated for 2011 with new mixes from Sean McCabe. This is soulful house music at its best – a great beat, meaningful lyrics and an emotional journey that very few genres of music can supply. We loved it in 2002, we still love the Sonz Of Soul original mix and not we’ve got the chance to play the track to death all over again. Awesome!

Intruder (A Murk Production) Feat Jei ‘Amame’ (Defected)

One of the coolest tunes of the year is finally getting a release on Defected Records. ‘Amame’ by Intruder is a stunning piece of filthy house music, the kind of tune that when played in a room with a pumping sound system, it’s going to go right off! Intruder is actually the legendary Oscar G and Ralph Falcon, formally known as Murk and Funky Green Dogs, and behind massive clubs hits such as ‘Reach For Me’ and ‘Fired Up’. With haunting vocals from Miami’s Jei, this tune is already getting smashed by many of the finer jocks.
