It’s been nigh on 20 years since ‘Revelations’ appeared, making ‘Etherflow’ less of a ‘return’ to the Johan Gielen longplayer, and more a musical reckoning for it. Fair to say then that expectations have been raised, and it’s taken the Belgium-born/Dutch-based artist three earth cycles of production to meet them.

Christina Novelli & Reigns | Airscape
The voice of ‘Concrete Angel’, Christina Novelli, joins forces with UK singer-songwriter Reigns (possibly known for her work with Carl Cox, Low Steppa, Benny Benassi, Disco Fries and others). And completing this ensemble is Johan Gielen, donning his Airscape cape to deliver a rework of the duo’s ‘When My Angel Sleeps’.

Black Hole Recordings has just released the latest ‘In Search Of Sunrise’ compilation, its twentieth edition. To acknowledge the occasion, a large edition was required with a six-mix/disc/DJ odyssey, and that’s exactly what the label has delivered.
