Aiming to bridge generations and genres, his remix honours the Godfather of Soul’s legacy while reintroducing the track’s message of identity, pride, and unity to dancefloors worldwide.
‘I Got Soul (Super Bad)’ marks the newest collaboration between the estate of James Brown, and an electronic dance artist, a reimagining of Brown’s 1970 funk classic by DJ/producer Laidback Luke. Out 28 August on Dim Mak Records, the single transforms one of music’s most iconic grooves into a bass-charged track while honouring the spirit that made ‘Super Bad’ a possible landmark in funk history.
