Detroit’s vocal trio Dames Brown - Athena Johnson, Teresa Marbury, and LaRae Starr - are set to release their debut album, ‘Take Me As I Am’, on 21 January, 2026, via Defected Records. The album stands as both a celebration of Detroit’s musical heartbeat and a deeply personal tribute to their late mentor and producer, Amp Fiddler.

Lending their range to a number of modern house tracks, including Sophie Lloyd’s ‘Calling Out’, The Vision featuring Andreya Triana ‘Heaven’ and David Penn’s ‘Nobody’ in recent years, Athena Johnson, Teresa Marbury and LaRae Starr unveiled ‘What Would You Do?’ in 2021.
