Databass Records delivers a new electro track as Dutch electronic music artist Orlando Voorn makes his debut on DJ Godfather's label, with Godfather contributing an electro remix. Blending Voorn's machine-driven sound design with bass-heavy Detroit energy, the ‘Detroit Is The Name’ EP splices a fusion of classic electro grit with Motor City edge.
Possibly best known for helping shape the European techno movement and for releasing records under aliases such as Fix and Baruka, Voorn brings decades of studio experience to the
collaboration.
DJ Godfather, possibly recognised as a founding artist in Detroit's ghetto tech scene, injects the release with a remix of electro pulse and attitude. This is a transatlantic exchange rooted in
electro's heritage.
Orlando Voorn ‘Detroit Is The Name’ is out 5 June on Databass Records.
