Following the releases of ‘Loving Is Living’ and ‘Higher Place’, taken from Yousef's recent album, ‘I Operate in Purple’, he joins forces once again with Brighton’s vocal trio, Kuuda, for their third vocal track, ‘Love And Hope’. This latest track offers a deeply melodic and even melancholic narrative, exploring the journey through heartbreak and the enduring power of belief, wrapped in emotive vocals.
The track showcases Yousef’s ’90s house-studio craftsmanship and affinity for house music. With a nod to classic sounds, it remains contemporary, reflecting a modern sensibility throughout. The
package also features a remix from Greece’s Red Weeller, who brings his vibes to the release, aiming to ramp up the energy for the late-night party people.
With over 30 years in the electronic music scene, Yousef recently released his fifth artist album, 'I Operate in Purple'. He has possibly released more music on labels than almost any other artist in his field, with releases on Crosstown Rebels, Desolat, Cocoon, Moon Harbour, Knee Deep in Sound, Defected, Hard Times, Renaissance and his own Circus Recordings.
Circus has released music from artists including Carl Cox, Kerri Chandler, Green Velvet and Jamie Jones and also helps to break new talent. 2025 saw the release of his fifth brilliant artist album, his most vibrant work to date, which features artists including Baby Girl, Kuuda, Bodacious Thang, Alexx, and Yasmin.
Brighton's Kuuda are a dance music collective comprising three producer/songwriter/vocalists: Charlie, Maeve and Ollie. All from different musical backgrounds, the group encompasses a style that ranges from progressive/Afro to jackin house to emotive breakbeat, in both production and lead vocals.
They have been making waves on the scene with collaborations with Yousef, Franky Wah, Hot Since 82, KeeQ, Artche, Sam Divine, and James Organ on both Shèn Recordings and BLOND:ISH’s imprint Abracadabra.
Their single with Hot Since 82, ‘Alive’, gained BBC Radio 1 support from Pete Tong and Danny Howard.
