As Josh Wink continues a wave of renewed chart momentum and DJ backing this year, he recently unveiled a deeply personal and long-anticipated release, ‘Let Yourself Go On’, now out as Volume 2 of his 607 Sessions series on Ovum Recordings.

The release lands at a pivotal moment as Marco Faraone’s rework of his Size 9 classic ‘I’m Ready’ recently broke into the Beatport Peak Time Techno Top 10, possibly reaffirming his relevance on contemporary dancefloors.

Meanwhile, this single is already generating early DJ support across the house and techno spectrum. Among those championing the new material are Nicole Moudaber, Tania Vulcano (Circoloco), Marco Faraone, Laurent Garnier, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Chris Liebing, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Paco Osuna, Stacey Pullen, Gerd Janson, Jerome Sydenham, Damian Lazarus, and many more.

But the track tells a deeper story. Originally produced between 1993 and 1994, it captures Josh at his most experimental, immersed in wild-pitch exploration during a formative moment in underground dance music. Built around hypnotic vocal manipulation, the record stretches and warps its core phrase into a slow-burning, tension-building crescendo that feels both raw and forward-thinking.

The track was presumed lost for years until he rediscovered the original DAT while clearing out a storage space. Once unearthed, it was carefully remastered by Arnold at CALYX Mastering, preserving its grit and character while giving it the clarity and weight required for modern systems.

Still uncertain about releasing it, he shared the track privately with longtime friend Carl Cox, who quickly settled the debate. It apparently became one of the standout IDs from Carl’s UNVRS nights and a defining anthem throughout last season’s residency.
