Fresh off his Solid Grooves debut, Patrick Topping marks six months of his summer track ‘Want U’ by recruiting breakout duo Murphy’s Law for a new rework. The brothers twist the original into a hazy, heads-down club roller, blending neon synth colours, a raspy ‘90s bassline, and a vocal glow. Piano stabs cut through the mix, pushing the track into peak-time.
Murphy’s Law: “We are really excited to put this remix out for Patty T on his infamous imprint, Trick. We have been fans of his music for the past 10 years, so to be asked to put our spin on his single ‘Want U’ is a huge honour for us. We wanted to take the remix in a completely different direction from the original, and we thought that a moody club roller was the perfect way to go. The first time we ever tested this out was b2b with Patrick in Tenerife, and we knew from that moment on that it had a special spark about it! It’s been doing the business in our sets over the past few months and we are super happy to finally be able to share it with you all.”
Murphy’s Law – brothers Sonny and Finn Murphy – are part of the modern house scene thanks to their emotive hooks, grooves, and DJ sets. Now, the Leicester-born duo cap off a landmark year with this remix.
