David Forbes returns to Dreamstate Records this week to apply his remix treatment to Key4050’s previous single, ‘Cisza’. Originally released in 2022 by the joint project between John O’Callaghan and Bryan Kearney, the tech trance track receives a proper peak-time update with the Scotman at the helm.
Possibly known for his ability to toe the line between trance and techno, David once again reaches the optimal midpoint via his rework. His version leans harder into what was already heavy, thumping tech territory, accelerating the drive through high BPMs. Rolling basslines and thunderous kicks thrust the piece ever-forward, as synth lashes and acid licks hit. There’s a moment of respite offered in his breakdown dials, which polishes up the original melodic lead before blitzing back towards the apex.
David Forbes: “What a pleasure remixing this Key4050 track for Dreamstate.”
‘Cisza’ was released as the official 'Dreamstate Europe' festival anthem in 2022 by Key4050. The track made the rounds, earning radio and live support from artists including Armin van Buuren, Andrew Rayel, Jordan Suckley, Simon Patterson, Mark Sherry, XiJaro & Pitch, and Maarten de Jong.
Born in Edinburgh, David Forbes earlier this year appeared on the label with his single ‘Quantum Valley’—an ode to the Dreamstate-hosted stage at EDC Las Vegas—which secured press coverage from UFO Network, Canadian Ravers, Find Your Sounds, Indie Dream, Beat For Beat, and Perspective.
David Forbes’ remix of Key4050’s ‘Cisza’ is available now on all platforms via Dreamstate Records.
