Luke Dean And Omar+

DJ, vocalist, and producer Omar+ and fellow artist, Luke Dean, have joined forces on ‘Make Believe,’ which is out now via Insomniac Records. Teased both in sets and online for the last few months, the track apparently lands as one of the summer’s most requested IDs, and the latest in a series of records that are possibly helping define a new era of UK house.

Cut with a lo-slung groove, the track picks up the baton from tracks like Josh Baker & Omar’s ‘Back It Up’ and Max Dean, Luke Dean & Locky’s UK Top 20 tune, ‘Can’t Decide’, in soundtracking summer 2025, with Omar’s ‘00s-era R&B vocals showing their worth.

Landing off the back of ‘Can’t Decide’ — Luke Dean’s first ever charting single, after peaking inside the UK Top 20 at #13 — and a touring schedule that’s already seen him play Hide & Seek, Higher Love, Mint Festival and Michael Bibi’s One Life, the track is also the latest marker in a possible defining year for Luke, who aims to prove himself one of the UK’s premier next-gen selectors.

The track also follows the release of Omar+’s debut, three-track EP, ‘Open Your Eyes’, last month, which spotlighted his multi-disciplined approach to writing, production, and vocal work, as well as a jam-packed live calendar, festival debut at Junction 2, and a freshly-minted monthly Rinse FM residency.
