Belfast’s Jordan Nocturne has just released his latest EP ‘Insane’ via Peggy Gou’s imprint Gudu Records. The title track sits alongside ‘X’ - a spaced-out collaboration with London artist Ambient Babestation Meltdown, a tongue-in-cheek track with a rave-ready piano rework on the flip.

Following releases on Gudu from Alinka, William Kiss, Ejeca and Peggy herself, this marks the next chapter in what’s apparpently already a landmark year for Jordan. Following his cut ‘Feel’ for Correspondant, a remix for Franz Ferdinand and a contribution to The Night Institute’s 10-year V/A compilation, this release lands ahead of a summer of shows and new music.
Now in its 10th year, The Night Institute - the platform Jordan co-founded with fellow Belfast artist Timmy Stewart - has apparently ‘become a cult institution’. What started as a no-nonsense party for locals is now possibly a recognised brand, built on eclectic DJ sets, DIY energy, and a fiercely loyal community.
Jordan Nocturne: “TNI has always been about music first - no frills, no fluff. Whether it’s in a club, a pub or a sports hall, if the energy’s right, we’re there.”
As a producer and DJ, he continues to push the needle, with past releases on Correspondant, Polari, Permanent Vacation and his own Nocturne and TNI imprints.
