Gio Lucca kicks off his new label ISO with a rework of Laid Back’s ‘Cocaine Cool’, a track that aims to capture the magnetic weirdness of late-night house music. Built around a vocal that’s somewhere between Bakerman and X-press 2's hit ‘Lazy’ – his rework is a funk-leaning rhythm production.
Born in Peru, Gio has carved out his niche with his blend of tech house, minimal, and funk. With releases on Nervous Records, Deeperfect, and North of Neptune, he’s landed in Beatport’s Top 10 more than once, while picking up support from selectors like Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, Pawsa, and Marco Carola.
Now, with the launch of ISO, he signals a new phase, one that aims to focus on left-leaning grooves and boundary-pushing sounds, with this release setting the tone.
