Best-friend duo Crumb Pit - producer Matt Barri and rapper Jorlov - recently released ‘No Crumbs’ on Dim Mak Records. The track is a fusion of UKG and D&B that is driven by sound design, vocals, and a groove that aims for movement. Jorlov, hailing from the UK, delivers a vocal flow influenced by UK MCs such as The Streets, while Matt Barri, who has been making music since childhood, brings the production.
Crumb Pit: “One of the first things we got to do when we signed with Dim Mak was meet with Steve Aoki, and we played him this demo called ‘No Crumbs’. He absolutely loved it and asked why it hadn’t been released on the label yet. We were so excited that we went straight into the studio that night to finish the song — and now it’s ready for everyone else to hear it!”
The duo’s hybrid bass sound possibly puts them in the mix of fledgling producers of the year.
Look out for their shows around the United States and Canada, before they make their festival debut at the Elements Festival later this summer.
