Funk Tribu & Odymel

Funk Tribu and Odymel have joined forces to deliver ‘Forbidden Voices,’ a collaboration out now through Urban, a division of Universal Music Group. The track is a convergence of two artists aiming to reshape the electronic music landscape. The Colombian-born, Berlin-based Funk Tribu and Odymel, the rising Belgian producer, unite their musical styles to craft a track with depth and vibrancy.

The story of the track began this past summer at the heart of Tomorrowland. Amid the festival, the duo found themselves in the creative sanctuary of its on-site studios. What started as an experimental studio session transformed into a shared exploration of sound as they found a natural rhythm in their collaboration. Their apparent shared love for electronic experimentation and evocative melodies fueled the process, resulting in a track that aims to capture the synergy of their artistry and the spontaneity of the moment.

Funk Tribu has emerged as part of the nu-trance movement, entertaining audiences worldwide with his DJ sets on Boiler Room with 1.8 million streams and performances at festivals such as Awakenings, Creamfields, Glitch, Time Warp Mannheim  and Dreamstate LA. Still riding the wave from his debut album ‘Against All Odds’ in October 2024, he aims to push his innovations, infusing it with nostalgic trance influences and a futuristic edge.

Odymel has apparently ascended the electronic music scene with his high-energy productions. His breakout track 'Gucci' garnered over a million streams, climbing Belgium’s viral charts and making noise internationally. His recent reimagining of The Cardigans’ classic 'My Favorite Game' further showcased his ability to blend nostalgia with modern sounds, aiming to demonstrate his status as possible one of electronic music’s most exciting new talents.
