Nuage has been producing music for over a decade now, originally in the D&B world, but has since morphed into electronic sounds that draw on garage, deep house, techno, breakbeats and more. He has released full lengths that range from the club-ready to the more mellow and are full of vocal and harmonic piano interludes and orchestral samples.
He can express a full spectrum of emotion in his work on labels like Anjunadeep, 20/20 Vision and This Never Happened, with his releases apparently clocking up millions of streams and regular plays on BBC Radio 1.
Now, he joins Sasha’s Last Night on Earth label for a brand new 4 track EP. Opener 'Mystery' pairs synth sounds with drums and vocal coos for a sensuous dancefloor trip. Vocal treatments and unusual synth sounds all colour a breakdown before an original groove kicks off.
'Revival' keeps it deep with widescreen pads and a sense of cosmic voyage. Synth modulations, underlapping drum funk and fresh vocals bring the track to life.
'Appearing' aims to sweep you off your feet with a blend of synths and harmonics that are playful, innocent and escapist.
Last, 'Disappearing' starts as a skeletal rhythm before turning into a future garage track with soft-focus synth daubs darting about the mix to psychedelic effect.
Nuage's 'Mystery EP' is out on Last Night on Earth on 17 January.
