Danny and Mike Parton apparently live and breathe house music and concoct their own take on it with influences from ‘90s grooves, French touch, disco and funk. They aim to bring a modern touch to electric sounds designed for maximum impact in the club, and over the years, they have come on a string of labels.
They have a genuine love of sampling at the heart of what they do and say that music is a celebration, which is why they founded Jolene Records earlier in the year to share their passion for sound and rhythm.
Mike kicks off with 'What A Mess', a mix of swirling pads and kick drums. Rapped vocals bring edge, and the whole track has a loose energy.
‘Go Out!’ then layers pitched-up R&B vocals with more drums and plenty of lively synths.
Danny keeps the vibe flowing with 'Head In The Sky', a disco, house and funk-fused affair with a groove. Trumpets and classic vocal samples bring the soul.
Last of all is 'In The Groove', which has filtered melodies, percussive drums, and more vocal samples that bring soul to the beats.
