Anjunadeep 15

Out now, the new installment of the flagship label compilation series, ‘Anjunadeep 15’, mixed by Bristolian DJ Jody Wisternoff and label co-founder and A&R James Grant. Anjunadeep, is the UK label responsible for breaking acts like Lane 8, Dusky, Yotto, Ben Böhmer, and Eli & Fur. Since the inaugural ‘Anjunadeep 01’ in 2009, the compilation series has set the tone for the subsequent year’s sound and has been a possible launchpad for the next generation of electronic artists.

This year’s compilation sees Jody and James curate a diverse array of melodic offerings across two mixes. The compilation features friends of the label, including Luttrell, PROFF, 16BL, and Jon Gurd, alongside rising artists such as Parallel Voices, Karyendasoul, Sebastian Sellares, and artemis orion. They also integrate favourites from the label, including Kasablanca, anamē, Darren Tate, and ANUQRAM, and downtempo Reflections tracks from Cephas Azariah, Talee, and Omfeel, showcasing the full spectrum of the label’s sounds.

James Grant & Jody Wisternoff:

"Curating 'Anjunadeep 15' has been a deeply rewarding journey. We spent months sifting through so much inspiring music, working until the 11th hour (the mix was delivered just a few days before release!) to tweak and shape every last track, not least our own collaborative remixes and productions. Our artists have outdone themselves once again.

The result is a two-disc collection that captures Anjunadeep's current and future sound, with some favourites from Reflections and Anjunabeats featuring in the mix as well, highlighting the musical diversity within our artist community. We're very proud of this one and hope you enjoy it."

Iceland has a special link to the compilation series, as many of the label compilation artworks feature aerial photography of the country’s landscapes. The label, therefore, celebrates the 15th in the series with a live performance of the compilation with Jody and James, recorded in Iceland’s Katla Ice Cave.

The performance is available now on Anjunadeep's YouTube channel.
