To mark a 15-year milestone, Stockport based MasterSounds recently announced the colourful creation of a limited batch of BLU DJ mixers spanning their entire range, each with a matching FX unit. Only 15 units of each edition have been made, professionally powder-coated in matte blue and featuring gold 01-15 graphics & hand-numbered edition tags with strictly no repress.
Additionally, they have produced a super-limited run of their MasterSounds SL in blue to match, one pair of SL-1200MK2 and one pair SL-1210MK2.
Each turntable has been hand built to founder Ryan Shaw's specifications, and features upgraded and rewired Rega RB-330 tonearm and AT cartridge, plus LinearPOWER supply & limited-edition screen printed 15 Years Deep graphics.
Since Ryan made his first batch of turntable weights in 2008, the brand has been on a journey of audio discovery and earlier this year MasterSounds and Union Audio award-winning partnership continued to mark 15 Years of Deep with the creation of the new MK2 version of their flagship Valve range of hand-made esoteric DJ Mixers.
Valve MK2 encompasses the true spirit of its predecessor, with its esoteric principles of sound and simplicity, and now includes added playability with a VariableQ high pass filter per channel, a re-designed 3-band EQ and RIAA Input stage, plus Innofader as standard.
Designed by Union Audio’s founder Andy Rigby Jones who has been at the forefront of analogue DJ mixer design for over 25 years and founder Ryan Shaw, whose history in DJ and audio has pioneered a line of high-fidelity audio products from DJ mixers, FX units, turntable weights and more, each Valve MK2 unit is hand-crafted by Union Audio in Cornwall, England.
MK2 Valve BLU is available in both 2 and 4-channel options.
