Landing next month on Chromaticc, Matt Fax’s third studio album is a wide-ranging and deeply personal body of work which sees him stepping out from his usual progressive-driven sound, encompassing elements of melodic house, downtempo, bass, hypnotic trance and more across 15 brand new tracks.
Celebrating over a decade in the industry, the French DJ/producer is part of the melodic house and progressive scene, helping to push the progressive melodic sound forward.
His new 12-track album ‘Story Of The Fall’ traverses a wide range of electronic-subgenres. From club-ready, gritty basslines and cascading synths to melodic, vocal-led cuts, it embodies his 11-year path to where he is today, and lays the foundations for his sound for the future.
Throughout the album he blends the energy of progressive house, the melodies of trance, and the raw depth and punch of bass music, resulting in a harmonious fusion that offers a diverse listening experience.
Matt Fax: “‘Story Of The Fall’ is my most personal project so far. It follows my evolution as a person and artists over the past three years, searching for a new identity in music and real life."
Over the past few years, his releases have graced labels such as Enhanced, Colorize, Anjuna and Armada. At just 27 years of age he’s already ticked off a host of career achievements, including two previous albums and the career-spanning compilation ‘X’ released in 2022.
‘Story Of The Fall’ is out 21 July on Chromaticc.
