Jamie Jones drops the landmark 100th release on Hottrax with the ‘Save Myself EP’. Known for heading up Hot Creations, Paradise, and Hot Natured, DJ, producer and label owner Jamie returns to his own Hottrax imprint for its 100th release on the label, delivering a grooving house tracks.
Leading the release is the title track ‘Save Myself’, which brings together swinging low-end, sharp drums, and rave-indebted stabs for a clubby opener. ‘Moroccan Mint’ follows with hi-hats, alluring leads, and wonky breakdowns for a possible afterparty-friendly cut.
‘Piano Wax’ combines processed breakbeats, heavy basslines, and trippy FX for another rolling number before ‘Sleepless Love’ rounds out the release with aquatic synths, ghostly vocal samples.
