Apparently one of Defected’s standout releases for 2022, the rise of Hannah Wants’ ‘Cure My Desire’ featuring Clementine Douglas has been big.
Hitting the ground running as it was crowned Hottest Record by BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard upon release, it continued to pick up support across the station as well as KISS FM and Capital Dance playlist adds in the UK, and key international radio support across the globe.
Demonstrating a softer, more emotive side to Hannah’s catalogue, South Africa’s Themba steps up to remix the record. Layering ascending synths with Clementine’s vocal and Afro house rhythms, the warm glow of Themba’s soundscapes makes this a decent remix of one of the label’s essential records in 2022.
