LA-based DJ/producer Ravell is back with his first single of the year and second offering from his newly founded imprint, Kazaa. ‘Baila’, follows his the December release of his single ‘Siento’, a bass house track that aims to reflect his rebranded sonic direction. Continuing to pay homage to his Latin roots through sound, the new release has a Latin-pop flair.
Latin House is possibly the EDM sound of the summer, but Ravell has been part of the trend since breaking into the scene in 2016. In 2016, he was tapped for an official remix of Enrique Iglesias and Reggeaton artist Wisin’s “Duele El Corazon’, which amassed nearly a million streams on Soundcloud alone.
A couple of years later, he worked on Jesse & Joy and J Balvin’s track ‘Mañana Es Too Late’, transforming it into a 3-minute slice of pop dance. With his recently launched label, he aims to continue blending his two favourite worlds - Latin and dance - together to create tracks and give like-minded up-and-coming artists a platform to showcase their takes on the genre.
The release is an example of his ability to elevate a festival bass production using Spanish vocals. Led by a Spanish vocal loop, the track climaxes into a bass drop that echoes his sound.
