Farmfest 2022

Farmfest

Farmfest 2022 will have a musical orchestra of ‘some of the best new and established left-of-mainstream performers on the scene’. Over 100 acts in the electronic, indie, folk, and world music genres have been booked to entertain 5000 visitors for that intimate festival feel. The festival aims to combine everything from early morning workouts to kids workshops, jumbles of jazz, brass-based bonanzas, stand-up comedy and poetry. Taking place on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 July 2022, Farmfest’s 15th year has headliners Elder Island, Joy Orbison, and Gentlemen's Dub Club.

Farmfest began as a get-together of friends and has remained that way for the past 15 years. Expect a mix of music from up-and-coming artists, cult heroes, and local treasures, as well as arts activities, charities, and local fare, all set against a Somerset backdrop.

Elder Island, the Bristolian dance trio head up the live acts with their instrumentally diverse sound, touching on house, synthpop and neo-soul. UK underground-electronic  artist Joy Orbison helms the rave zone, The Den, with his nostalgic mesh of club sounds long into the night. Gentlemen's Dub Club will be bringing the party to the Main Stage.

Beyond the headliners, Farmfest’s support acts include Do Nothing, BCUC, Ishmael Ensemble, Jamz Supernova, Channel One, DJ Fett Burger, Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy, Mr Bongo, Mafalda, Poly-Ritmo, Sinkane, The Mauskovic Dance Band, Pip Blom, Sophie Hunger, Broken Bass, Penelope Isles, Too Many T's, Agbeko, Plastic Mermaids, Ivan Smagghe & Chez De Milo, Danielle, Grove, Joe (Hessle Audio), Worm Soundsystem, Admin, Sam Bhok and more.

Tim Manville, Festival Director of Farmfest: “Farmfest is back this year with the same monstrous diversity of music and arts as always! After 15 years we’re so bloody proud of what it has evolved into. The last few years have taught us how fragile life can be and so we’re throwing everything we have at making Farmfest 2022 the best show ever. We would like to personally thank all those that have supported us over the years, especially in 2021, and tell you with some confidence that this year is not to be missed!”
