For Mark Knight’s label Toolroom Trax, Belgian DJ/producer Siege has partnered up with New York’s DJ Boris to drop a slice of tech house that aims to soundtrack your dancefloor movements as we roll into the new year.
With both artists being Toolroom veterans in their own right, DJ Boris makes his return to the label since his 2019 release ‘What We Need’. Siege on the other hand, has had a busy year with releases on both Toolroom and Trax from the disco track ‘Reach Out’ to his collab with poet Maia Mayor on ‘Monster’.
The pair are aiming to dial up the heat on this one, as they take you on a deep ‘Journey’ with their latest Trax offering. A tough track from the get-go, it's club-focused house that aims to pack a punch.
Featuring a thumping groove and rolling tech house bassline, they build the record around a vocal sample repeating the line - ‘let me take you on a journey’. Layered with synthesised bleeps and bloops that fittingly squeeze in around the track, it creates a club track that aims to round 2021 off in style.
